I remembered taking my car to my local Kazeem, because I noticed a coolant leaking to the floor, one of the advantages of using coolant instead of water, he did the necessary checks and said no leaks... I had to put the issue to Google Ai gave 3 to 4 likely reasons, one was failing water pump, he was adamant, I insisted he remove the water pump low and behold we saw drops of coolant, we got a new water pump and no problem. About 6 months later, I had packed my car at mobil filling station, wanted to buy engine oil, walking back to my car I noticed coolant on the floor, drove to my mechanic, he did all the checks hoses, radiator, water pump and he said no leak spotted. I will not drive the car out, get me a new water pump, a new water pump was installed niand just when I was about to drive out, he said oga I see a leakage, a hose underneath the engine he fixed it. I was like you did all the hose checks, why did you miss it.
Our local mechanics are one of the reasons why ehailing has become increasingly challenging.

So when drivers post great monthly earnings consistently, they should please and please add the name of their mechanics.

since I change oil pump , my car has been shorting oil like mad and no leakages anywhere

you see car maintenance is one of the things that take huge chunk of the money we make unless you are not ready to put your car in the right shape. I wonder how someone will say driving your car for long hours every day does not have any effect on your car. Something wey be say you maintenance bills will go up and one thing is repairing cannot return the car to it original state.
Changed all the shocks and did all the leg works still the car is making some squeaky sound now

Been going to d mechanic week in week out .. I done tire .
Noticed my gear oil was leaking sometime last year. Around august. Took it to a gear man. He said he need to drop d gear to confirm where d leakage is from. He charged 100k we negotiated 90k. He said if it was gear pump it will b 90k if it was just oil seal it will b 50k...

Later he said it was both. So he fixed it d leakage stop. I know dat most gear people hardly buy any parts kus dey always have gear parts on their shops.... so I was certain he didn't buy any parts from d market. He just change it with a bad gear in his shop. Only for it to start again after 2 month.... Took it back to him and he told me no b him fault. Say na d parts wey him buy. Dat is his bring it back in January.. I was furious and left... Took it to anoda gear person kus d leakage was much.. I have worked with both gear mechs before. I showed him and he said na 150k last to fix. And said it will not leak giving me guarantee. I tried to bargain he said 150k last. This was December 25 or so. He fixed it and said I needed to buy oil which I no say na lie. I sent money and everytin was ready... Been using d car till now. Only to check under to see it’s leaking again.. send him images. Will have to take d car back to him. This my car done chop going to 500k since december... From evaporator to compressor to 4 coils, normal servicing, shock etc. I done tire. I can't even meet up d money I borrowed sef with this useless fair ehalling apps dey being out. My tire is tired

Nigerian mechanics are the problems we have, my power steering oil has been leaking for over 5 months , not much leaking ooo I top it only once a week despite the long hour driving, this January I said let me do general maintenance, oga say na one hoose they leak , just to change the house na so my car hand strong like dangote trailer hand, before u know it pump don spoil , rack don get issue, my gear oil too now dey leak small small na so I go dey top am small small for now because I know once I ask dem to comot am na big spending

Waiting for too long may not worth it. You go home with less amount feeling exhausted as same time you worked very well.

Remember, this job works with timing. A person that went out for two days and earned 30k each is better than someone that went out in a single day and earned 50k without working the next day. Time lost can never be regained.

I don't work beyond 7pm, so I try to maximise my day time. Except for people that don't mind working until they meet their target even if it means closing by 10 to 11pm.

I don’t mind to wait to get quality trip , I work from 9am yesterday till around 9 and I only did 6 trips carefully selected

I have been complaining that my car consumes more fuel because I use 15k fuel to net 45 to 50k before now.

But right now, I use 15 to 18k fuel to net just 35k.

The problem we have in this business right now are those drivers that use smaller engine cars. Those Suzuki, Yaris, etc.

I was at Yaba and was surprised the ridiculous prices drivers were accepting. So I decided to put out a request to see if someone would accept.

To my surprise, a driver was willing to drive from Montgomery road to Maryland mall for 2800. Now that Indrive commission has gone up, what that means is that he's willing to earn 2400 for such trip.

Some drivers are just impossible. Unfortunately, we don't have control over who accepts what. You either join them in accepting the ridiculous prices or change hustle... That's the reality.

Insisting on getting a ride with a good price will mean staying at a place for too long which will cause you more back pain and tiredness, plus the heat under the sun.

I've noticed that staying in the car for long without driving is even more painful than driving around.
