You sound innocent so I would not burst much of your bubbles but Ekiti has the highest numbers of professors, both living and dead.... according to what scholars have been saying until Igbos changed it about 4 years ago without proof that it is Imo state. But the authentic statistic from NYC showed that Yorubas have far more professors than the Igbos.

Nobody knows the richest tribe in Africa,it could be Bantus,Ashantis,Igbos,Yorubas,Hausas etc but according to Forbes and statistics,South Africa has the highest number of billionaires followed by Nigeria with 4 billionaires.Out of the 4 billionaires...Dangote-Hausa,Otedola-Yoruba,Adenuga-Yoruba,Alakija-Yoruba....no Igbo.
From all indications and statistics available Igbos are least in poverty and malnutrition in Nigeria today

Yes Igbos are intelligent just like Bantus,Edos,Ijaws and other tribes are also intelligent but Igbos' problem is exaggeration and wanting people to believe and suck in everything they claim even without authentic evidence.I have learnt that nearly every tribe in Nigeria has the ability to produce guns and even explosives.
Most of what you have been posting about your technological feats were taken mostly from what your people relayed and wrote but white people(France,Israel etc)who witnessed and helped you prosecute the war had never said anything about Igbos producing any rocket, plane and all the stupid lies you and your people have been fed for a very long time. They have only shown sympathy and talked about the need to help.
We have read authentic documents from dependable neutral sources neytralising your lies and giving us the real picture of how France brought in most of those things you are claiming to have built. It is because of this civil war propaganda that we have all thought that you are technologically good but events have shown that you are a fluke. Necessity begets creativity and war has brought out the best in humans at different periods,I am sure Igbos put in some effort labour wise and fabrication wise but the bulk of everything Igbos are claiming came from France and Mercenaries. In recent times, the Yorubas have shown remarkable technological advances more than the Igbos and they are not shouting or intimidating the other tribes with'we are the best'..'Nigeria cannot stand without the Yoruba'...Yorubas are the smartest black race' and all jargons that your people have been spewing all over the place without evidence to show their claims except noise.

Eighteen students have emerged winners in the just-concluded zonal contests of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) National Science Quiz Competition held in the six geo-political zones of the country.

The successful participants will lock horns at the competition’s grand finale scheduled to hold Sept. 25 to Sept. 26 in Abuja.

A statement by the NNPC Spokesman, Mr Ndu Ughamadu, explained that of the 37 contestants who emerged from the state competitions and competed at the different zones across the country, 14 were from government schools while 23 were from private schools. Only five females participated in the competition.
Ughamadu said a breakdown of participants at the zonal level were – South-South Zone, Alikah Joseph Ehiagwina of Edo came top with 65 points, Ebute Samuel Adakole of Rivers came second with 55 points, while Ohwevwo Oghenetejiri of Delta came third with 50 points. At the end of a keenly contested event for the North East Zone held in Bauchi, Bauchi State representative emerged winner with 50 points while Gombe and Taraba tied with 45 points apiece.

Adamawa scored 40 points while Borno and Yobe ended with 25 and 20 points respectively. ”All these students will represent their zones at the Grand Finale in Abuja later in the year,” Ughamadu said. Ughamadu said that several innovations were introduced last year to make the competition better and to help the corporation impact as many communities as possible. He said that for the 2018 edition, which is the 16th, the aim was to build on the gains already recorded in previous editions.

https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/amp.rfi.fr/en/africa/20170525-how-france-armed-biafras-bid-break-nigeria

France secretly armed Biafra in the self-proclaimed republic’s attempt to break away from Nigeria in a bid to weaken British and US influence in Africa, documents seen by RFI reveal 50 years after the beginning of a war that cost up to two million lives.

The ethnic Igbo-majority Eastern Region declared its independence on 30 May 1967, following a military coup, a counter-coup and what French diplomats described as “pogroms” of tens of thousands of Igbo living in northern Nigeria the previous year.

The attempt to break away led to a 32-month war, which was to see about between 500,000 and two million deaths from starvation caused by Nigeria’s blockade of the breakaway region.

Nigeria’s former colonial ruler, Britain, backed the Lagos government’s One-Nigeria policy, covertly providing weapons and military intelligence.

The US declared itself neutral, while the Soviet Union gave full support to the Nigerian government.

Although France – unlike allies Gabon and Côte d’Ivoire -- never recognised Biafra diplomatically, it backed what then president Charles de Gaulle called its “just and noble cause.”

Anglophone giant

De Gaulle saw the conflict as a means to weaken the “anglophone giant” of west Africa, which was surrounded by former French colonies closely aligned with Paris through a policy of defending French interests that would come to be known as Françafrique.

While French Foreign Affairs Minister Maurice Couve de Murville declared that his country was observing a “complete embargo”, the presidential palace’s notorious “Africa cell”, headed by the controversial Jacques Foccart, sent large quantities of arms to the Biafran side, taking care to keep the operation secret from the Quai d’Orsay.

The planes carrying the weapons had to pass through the airspace of several countries that opposed the process, prompting a complaint by Morocco, which had not granted them access.

They landed at Uli, “Africa’s busiest airport”, according to Biafra supporters. But it was in such a poor state that pilots flying for Nigeria, including South African mercenaries, sometimes mistook it for a stretch of road. Pilots recruited by Biafra were in the know and managed to bring 75 tonnes of rifles, assault rifles, bazookas, grenades and cannon in just 11 days in 1969, documents show.

Appeal for more weapons

But, with the Biafran side losing ground, Foccart’s men appealed for more.
Warning that the breakaway territory could fall “before the end of October [1969]”, one of them Philippe Lettéron, wrote in a note now in the national archives and seen by RFI, “to take back control of the situation and have some hope of regaining the lost territory, a massive effort of at least 600 tonnes of arms and munitions would be needed in a very short space of time.”

Defeat did in fact come in January 1970 but not for want of French arms, as telegrams from the French embassy Lagos reported, notably when French expatriates in Port Harcourt, the region’s main port, notified it that the Bounty, hailing from Bordeaux, had broken the blockade and delivered weapons.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry did find out about the arms traffic and drew up an “inventory”, declassified at RFI’s request, in 1968.

It lists 16 Alouette and 12 T6-G helicopters and two planes for training pilots, delivered before the war, and two B26 bombers delivered after the independence declaration.
Support for the Biafran cause did not prevent France selling some arms to the Lagos government, mainly parts of orders placed before the war broke out.

And planemaker Sud-Aviation, then headed by Maurice Papon who was later convicted of war crimes during the Nazi occupation, lobbied to be allowed to sell helicopters, while sending a note the Africa cell, now declassified at RFI’s request, advocating “secret backing” through the supply of mercenaries to Biafra, to guarantee France a “privileged position” in an independent Biafra where high-quality, low-sulphur oil had recently been discovered.

Many French mercenaries

In fact, a number of mercenaries, many of them French, had been in the area since at least five months before the declaration of independence, as ambassador Marc Barbey had been informed by French nationals in Port Harcourt and a Soviet diplomat.

But Barbey, either believing or pretending to believe that they were working for the Lagos government, discussed their presence with Nigerian military leader Colonel Yakubu Gowon, urging him to refrain from recruiting French citizens.

Gowon warned the diplomat against any action that might threaten Nigeria’s territorial integrity but Barbey told his superiors that “France is certainly not the target” of the warning, since it was Israel that was sending mercenaries to the territory.

Once the war started, the US was alarmed to see a French crew fly a B26 bomber into rebel territory, leading the French Foreign Affairs Ministry to discover that three American-built bomber were there, two of them having been flown in from an airbase at Creil, near Paris.

More arms smuggling came to light when a plane that had formerly belonged to Air France exploded in Bissau due to the munitions it was carrying.

The most notorious of the French mercenaries, Rolf Steiner, a former Hitler Youth member who joined the French Foreign Legion, formed a 3,000-strong brigade that became the elite corps of the Biafran army.

But he and most of the other mercenaries left before the final defeat.

“After departure of Rolf Steiner and his comrades, there are only three European combatants with the Biafrans, two French and one English,” French Ambassador to Gabon Maurice Delauney, a Foccart loyalist, reported in a telegram on 15 November 1968.

Not all francophone countries in Africa sided with Biafra.

Senegal sent a diplomatic envoy to Enugu, the Biafran capital, with the hopes of convincing the separatists to backpedal. And landlocked Niger, which depends on Nigeria for its access to the sea, went further. It played a key role in the transfer of Belgian and Swiss arms supplies. Weapons were flown in on Sabena flights and held in storage in the Niger presidential palace before being sent by lorry across the border to Kanu, French cables indicate.

The war dragged on until January 1970 when a young Nigerian officer, Colonel Olusegun Obasanjo announced on Radio Biafra that the conflict was officially over.
Obasanjo became Nigeria’s head of state in 1976 and again in 1999.
We never denied France assistance, what we are saying that Igbos scientists manufactured most of the arms they used most especially Ogbunigwe (Ojukwu bucket), that is what I'm asking you to provide a reliable source that proved them wrong, Igbos fought Nigerias troops with Egypt, USSR, British, Saudi Arabia, held them for three solid years, if you use your common sense you will know the arms they hurriedly and limitedly manufactured will not sustain them. I know it's hard for you and your likes to admit Igbos ingenuity because of hatred, their ingenuity is still much alive, it will cost just few amount for you to see it raw, visit Nnewi, Aba, Mgbuka Obosi, Coal camp Enugu and read more about Awka blacksmith. Travel › Africa's Most Successful Airline Adds Airplane #100! Photo by TundeBricklayer(op): 7:09pm On Jul 23, 2018
Last month I spent two days in Addis Ababa at the invitation of the new Prime Minister, His Excellency Dr. Abiy Ahmed. As I have said many times before, Ethiopia is a quiet champion of Africa’s economic transformation. It has managed to grow at the rate of over 10% over 10 years (and 7% over two decades!)

With a population of 102 million which is increasing at the rate of 2.2mn per year, it is the second largest country in Africa by population size.

Under Ethiopia's new leadership, change is happening at a breathtaking pace! The excitement was palpable. The young entrepreneurs I met are very hopeful.

I had the opportunity to participate in a proud @AfricaMoment! Ethiopian Airlines had just added the 100th airplane to its fleet, the largest in Africa!

This is an amazingly successful business in one of the toughest industries in the world. One of Africa’s oldest airlines at 72 years old, Ethiopian Airlines has survived times of extraordinary upheaval in the country’s and even Africa’s history.

This airline has seen everything: war, famine, bad governments, fuel price shocks and so on... But still it has thrived!

It has survived despite the worst of conditions...

# Remember: A good soldier learns to fight in the conditions and not the conditions.

I met Ethiopian Airlines' Chairman Abadulla Gemeda, Vice Chairman Dr. Arkebe Oqubay, and award-winning CEO Tewolde GebreMariam who began work there more than 30 years ago in the cargo traffic handling department, rising up the ladder and gaining experience in all parts of the business. I discussed with them why it has been successful.

Guess what... the three “Ps”!

# Product: For them, moving people in the air is not just their product. It is the unique mission in which they are constantly innovating. Even whilst I was there, they were starting a new direct route to Chicago the next day, and also a new destination, Geneva, that same week! This week they became the first African airlines to fly direct to Indonesia and there was more...

# People: Amazingly dedicated and highly skilled professional staff at all levels. The CEO and his team are humble and entrepreneurial. These guys could work anywhere in the world. They have a reputation for being corruption-free. This is probably why they have succeeded where many other state-owned enterprises failed.

# Process: They understand every aspect of modern business practice. This is a very serious business, let me tell you.

Being a good entrepreneur does not mean you have to own a business. Some of the most successful businesses in the world are run by entrepreneurs who don’t own the business!

Confused? It’s a #MindsetThing!

Well done, Ethiopian!

Likench-Biafran,this is just one of the many proofs to enlighten ignorant minds like you.
Your post doesn't really make sense, from your post he never claim to assist Biafra to manufacture weapons.

The Engineering Feat of Defunct Biafran Research and Production Group (RAP)

The Red devil and Genocide Armoured tanks, and the Ogbunigwe bombs are some of the greatest indigenous military engineering that has come out from Nigeria and the Biafran Research and Production group (RAP) is the greatest indigenous research, development and production organisation ever established in Nigeria.

They Red devil, Genocide, and Ogbunigwe are war weapons that were locally fabricated by RAP of the then Biafran Republic during the Nigerian civil war also known as the Biafran war (July 6, 1967 – January 15, 1970), a war the Nigerian government fought against Biafra to counter Biafra’s secession from the Republic of Nigeria.

Biafran Research and Production group (RAP)

Biafran army started the war with just reconditioned Mauser bolt-action rifle, supported by small quantities of machine-pistols, sub-machine guns, light and heavy machine guns, and pistols. Mortar barrels and bombs, artillery pieces and shells.

The duty of making weapons and other machines needed to win the war was assigned to RAP. The RAP group led by the renowned Professor Gordian Ezekwe was comprised of men and women with scientific and technological background, formal and informal, who invested their devotion and patriotism to conduct research and fabricate essential material for the prosecution of the war. They were saddled with the task of technological innovation, copy technological creativity and improvisation under extreme privation.

The members of the RAP were teachers from the Universities, Colleges of Technology and Secondary Schools; research scientists from research and technical establishments; scientists, technologists, and craftsmen from various public services, such as Railways, Ports Authority, Electricity Corporation, Petroleum Refinery and Geological Surveys; engineers and technicians from the private sector such as Shell BP, United Africa Company (UAC) etc; and ordinary artisans, craftsmen and mechanics.

In the beginning of the war members of the RAP group operated as two distinct independent groups – the Enugu Group and the Port Harcourt group. The Enugu group was dominated by university scientist from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and the Port Harcourt Group was led by engineers and technicians from Shell-BP and other industrial establishments around Port Harcourt. The group came together when Enugu fell to the Nigerian army.

The Biafran Red Devil Amoured Vehicles

RAP fabricated armoured vehicles nicknamed the Biafran Red Devil and Genocide from agricultural tractors, bulldozers and harvesters. The Red Devil were fabricated to suit operational difficulties – types A1-A5, B, C, and D, but the armoured vehicles could not endure the heavy stresses and strains needed for a challenging military operation demanded in warfare. According to Professor Kalu Uka of the University of Uyo in an interview, they lacked speed and suffered frequently from overheating.

Which one be Alternative Nobel Prize again
The Swedish Academy is not awarding a Nobel prize for literature this year, but a group of Swedish cultural figures are coming together to bestow their own version of the world’s most prestigious literary award instead, as an act of protest at the scandal that has engulfed the academy.
The 2018 Nobel prize for literature was cancelled in May, following allegations of sexual assault made against Jean-Claude Arnault, husband of Katarina Frostenson. Frostenson is an author and a member of the Swedish Academy, the prize’s secretive jury. Arnault was charged with rape in June, but denies all the allegations.
The scandal, which kickstarted debate about the academy’s patriarchal nature and fights in the Swedish media between academicians, led to a wave of resignations and to the postponement of this year’s prize “in view of the currently diminished academy and the reduced public confidence”.
In its place, more than 100 Swedish writers, actors, journalists and other cultural figures have formed the New Academy, which will hand out its own award this autumn, following the same timeline as the Nobel.
“We have founded the New Academy to remind people that literature and culture at large should promote democracy, transparency, empathy and respect, without privilege, bias arrogance or sexism,” they said in a statement.
“In a time when human values are increasingly being called into question, literature becomes an even more important counterforce to stop the culture of silence and oppression. The New Academy regards this as so important that the world’s greatest literature prize should still be awarded in 2018.”

The New Academy is inviting all of Sweden’s librarians to nominate authors. Contenders can come from anywhere in the world, and must have written at least two books, one of which was published in the last 10 years. They are looking for a writer who has told the story of “humans in the world” – in contrast to the Nobel, which is intended to honour the writer who has penned, in the words of Alfred Nobel’s will, “the most outstanding work in an ideal direction”.Once nominations have been received, the New Academy will launch a public vote, with the four most popular authors to then be put before its jury. Led by editor Ann Pålsson and also including Gothenburg University professor Lisbeth Larsson and librarian Gunilla Sandin, the jury will announce its winner in October, the same month the Nobel is traditionally announced.
“In awarding this prize, we are staging a protest. We want to show people that serious cultural work does not have to occur in a context of coercive language, irregularities or abuse,” said the new organisation.
On 11 December, the day after the winner is presented with their award at a formal celebration, the New Academy will be dissolved.
It is currently expected that the Swedish Academy will announce two Nobel winners in 2019.

History of Ogbunigwe also called Ojukwu Bucket was a series of weapons systems including command detonation mines, improvised explosive devices and rocket propelled missiles, mass-produced by the Republic of Biafra and used against Nigeria between 1967 and 1970 in the Nigerian Civil War

At the outbreak of hostilities, the Biafran armed forces were poorly equipped as compared to the Nigerian army with arms and ammunition being in short supply. This imbalance in power was intensified in the course of the war. Biafran scientists, prominently from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (then University of Biafra), formed the Research and Production (RAP) Organisation of Biafra which included a Weapons Research and Production Group. It was the aim and purpose of this group to develop an indigenous arms industry and they soon started with the production of ammunition, grenades and armoured cars. Their most effective and infamous product was the Ogbunigwe of which there were different types in various sizes. The term Ogbunigwe later came to include grenades and landmines but initially referred to non guided rocket propelled surface-to-air missiles (specifically called flying Ogbunigwe) which were later converted to surface-to-surface missiles. The engineers Gordian Ezekwe, Benjamin Nwosu, Willy Achukwu and others were instrumental in the design and production of the weapons.

The first type of Ogbunigwe to be produced and tested in combat was the rocket propelled surface to surface missile. It was originally designed as a surface to air missile to be used in defence against Nigerian MiG-15 fighters marauding the Enugu airport.[8] Before the missile could be used successfully at its actual purpose as an anti aircraft missile, Nigerian troops captured Enugu where the missiles were being produced in October 1967. Following the fall of Enugu, a group of retreating Biafran soldiers were fighting rearguard action against a battalion of heavily armed Nigerian troops at the Ugwuoba bridge along the old Enugu-Awka road. As the ammunition of the Biafran troops was exhausted their commander ordered them, as a last resort, to adapt the use of the Ogbunigwe surface to air missile they were equipped with, by launching them horizontally at the enemy instead of vertically as designed for anti aircraft action. The effect was devastating and extensive. As a result of this incident, the missile was converted and utilised for the rest of the war as a surface-to-surface missile, and as a surface-to-ship missile during the Second Invasion of Onitsha. The name Ogbunigwe literally means "instrument that kills in multitudes" in the Igbo language.

the flying Ogbunigwe was the first rocket to be wholly designed, developed, mass-produced and launched in Africa. It was used in combat in 1967, over one year before the launching of the first indigenous South African rocket in December 1968.

At the height of production, about 500 units were being produced per day in Biafra.
