All I see is a misogynistic person on rampage. It's very ridiculous of you to entirely blame the inability of some men to marry on women empowerment. The Nigerian economy is clearly dominated by men; be it construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, IT, shipping and even medical where one would have thought that women would take the lead.

The MNCs you accused of dis-appropriately employing have such policies from their home countries, even at that men are still more employed than women in the United States. Take for instance Silicon Valley, the proportion of men to women in tech firms is high; and efforts are being made to ensure that females are also employed by ensuring females take joy in STEM courses, what you should be advising young Nigerian men is to study hard enough to be at least QUALIFIED for the vacancies in such firms, as these firms employ strictly on merit. It's totally illogical for you to ORDER firms who are competitively outwitting themselves in the consumer market/economy to employ unqualified people simply because they MUST employ men. It's by merit, people should learn to work hard. Tell me why should a company employ an unqualified person{ male or female} in a recruitment process that's strictly based on the principle of meritocracy. The benefits of women ACTIVELY participating in the economy is ginormous, we need more women in the economy to drive our economy to becoming one of the biggest in the world. Japan is actively pushing for more women in its workforce, ditto for Korea and even INDIA .
In Modi's recent trip to Silicon Valley he outlined the benefits of 50% of the population joining the economy and pledged reforms aimed at reaching that goal, here in Nigeria, wetin man dey read?

What do u mean by he should be advising young men to be qualified...are u sure u are in this country @ll? we have lots of over qualified graduates witout jobs. Dont u hv friends that made first class/strong 2.1 in engineering and oda professional disciplines bt still don't have jobs after many yrs? or is it cos you are fortunate to get one? C'mon man..I want to suspect that u are among those in HR that favor the female gender for selfish reasons.

I lived a very religious life in campus, and was not in any relationship at all. After school , I met this young handsome guy in 2006. Sincerely, I felt I didn’t not merit him because he is very handsome, while I am on the average beauty wise. The only thing that attracted me to him was the look. He was an hustler and lived a low income life. Throughout our courtship of 18months, He never gave me a dime. I came from a financially buoyant famiy, I therefore saw no need in asking him for anything, rather I was feeding him with three square meal. We got wedded in the year 2007, and I gave him the flower of my womanhood (virginity) but I was not really excited for just no reason.

My husband is a caring man, but nags a lot. He nags about the way I handle bathing soap, the way you arrange plates in kitchen, virtually everything. I most often skip for fear each time he wants to talk because I believe he wants to complain again.

I got a job before he did, but one thing I discover is that my husband spends his money without thinking about tomorrow and always depend on my salary to survive the family. In 2008, I gave birth to a set of triplet, and had to quit work to nurse my angels. He was very supportive then. He provided for all our needs and life was good. In 2012, my husband lost his job, I had to take over the family expenses again. I was running a masters degree program, doing many businesses, and still raising kids. I travelled every week in a bid to keep the family running. Each time, I complain about the stress I was passing through, he tells me I am lazy, that many women do more to sustain their families.

This is 2015, my husband prefers to allow me or my dad to pay the children tuition fee than for him to hustle. I am 100% responsible for the family upkeep. Every biz you introduce to my husband is downgrading to him. I am currently on my PHd degree, I am nursing a set of triplet, and still work hard to survive my family.

It is now that I realize that I married my husband because of his handsomeness, and that he is mentally very shallow. My husband thinks like a child and has virtually no plan for his family.

My simple advice for intending wives is this, looks (handsomeness or beauty) alone is not enough to choose a husband, marry a man that has great vision for his life, not the one that you will keep on dragging up.

Secondly, I believe my husband puts all the family responsibility on me because I was the one feeding him when we were dating. Please, let your guy know from day one that you need to be adored and taken care of like a beautiful flower.

To married men and women there, did you make some mistakes when choosing? Pls share with intending husbands and wives to help them make informed decision.

What bothers me here is the fact that he doesn't get turned on.

Please house I am new here, I want to apply for a study permit. I have 2 sponsors, 1 of my sponsors has a balance of 1.9m but with cash inflow and outflow of over 60m in the last 6 months while the other have a closing balance of 2.1m with an inflow and outflow of over 20m over the last 6 months. Please house is this ok to apply as all effort to beef up d account has not really yielded result due to d current economic situation. This is d only thing delaying my application. Pls note that both sponsors av d same surname as me. Kindly advise if I should just submit it like dat or still keep waiting because I had d earlier the better. I am for January. Thanks

House Lo and Behold my medicals that was done on the 21st have not been sent by IOM they said they've been working on the samples that they had to send somewhere else for Good examination and they just don't send results they're not sure about because it might bounce back bad on the Applicant so they have to take time and work on it.. they said they will send today.'I Pray they do'I've been worried because there has been no progress in my App since I did the medicals.has anyone Experienced this or. is this Normal thing IOM does??am just confused.cc:Sholay2011
