I have an admission to study in S/A, at wits for 2016. Please do anyone know if the embassy at Lagos have started accepting applications for student visa?

Surely there should be a refund because you didn't travel to start the program or u ask them to shift your payment for next year .(Please notify them ).

I have sent them a mail twice, the first mail was more than a week ago and I haven't gotten any response from them up till now.

Guys, I got my study visa on the 6th of march to study at wits but I was already 3weeks behind lecture. The course administrator had alredy adviced me to reapply for 2016. Now I am looking at how I can get momentum health insurance to refund my money since I will not be going for this year. I have written a mail to them twice but no respond. Please can I possibly get a refund from momentum?

wah course is that... Yu may liase with your facility officer...try n explain things...they should be able to extend late registration for you

The course is geophysics. I talked with them and they are saying I will not be able to cope after I might have missed some lectures and practicals.

Am currently at wits for my masters. Which programme are u coming in for? However, am surprised that d admission came late and getting d study visa will obviously take some time. Try and e-mail your postgraduate officer or better still, your faculty officer and explain d situation of things to them. All d best

I am coming for Hons program. I have talked with the course administrator before now. And he was saying he was sorry it came late and he suggesting that I reapply for 2016 or take some other courses.

I submited at Lagos.

I was offered admission to wits university on 28th Jan. I manged to finally submit my study visa application yesterday 12th feb. Lectures are starting on 16th febuary. The embassy gave me 6th march to come back. Please is there any hope that I can get the visa earlier than the embassy date? Because am on the verge of losing the admission of I arrive too late.

I don't have the original Copy of my SAQA certificate but I have printed a scanned copy of it. Please I want to know if the embassy at Lagos will accept the printed scanned copy.

This is most certainly a good idea. But it seems to me like you are reinventing the wheels. People are already sharing pictures and videos on FB, google+ instagram etc.
Why should they now share it on your site ?

I for one, I also enjoy using my own source code but I feel a need to have a good knowlege of the workings of 2 or 3 frameworks. One reason is that they can really help to speed up a project and another reason is to make my portfolio/profile look better. I have plans to learn yii in the near future but for now I need a framework that is designed for ecommerce.

Being "through with php" as the poster put it may connote having a basic understanding of the said thechnology.
As we all know, no one knows it all. But we may be able to use it to solve immediate problems .

I decided to post a few point (about the book) in the forum and send the details to you via your email, but if you suggest otherwise then here are the details for everbody to learn from (as you said):

I have studied your e-book a great deal, but not all chapters yet. You asked for suggestons on the book and for now, here is a few.
Commenting:

1. Chapter 8:
Every one that usually browse the internet a few times must understand what it means for a site not to load fast, therefore it may not be nessesary to provide a link to such site to show an example.         
Any time the developer that did the site may do some tweaking and the site may become better than it presently may be and your point may become void.
   
Conclusion: Just go on with the message, do not point at any site for example. If you must do that, then  develop a page on you site that has slow download speed and use that link as an example.

2.Your e-book will be more user friendly if you had created a kind of navigation tool by adding some links. You may make the content page link to the respective chapters and some reference text linking to the referenced pages.

Your book is really good.
I took some time to study it well.

I really appreciate the 7th lesson (To list or not to list).

The 9TH Lesson (CSS resetting) is also very helpful. I had abandoned the use of CSS for layout because of the reason stated, but now am going back for tabless layout.

The book is definately not for beginners as you stated in the introductry page. its for us,   

To make the e-book more user friendly you may want to add some links to it to creat a kind of navigation.

As for me i have the basic tools installed: NOTEPAD, NOTEPAD++, FrontPage, Dreamweaver.

I have FP and DW installed just for demonstration purposes for students.

But i have always enjoyed using notepad, it makes me feel like a real programmer.
If i take a break from coding by hand for a few days i tend to forget some of my codes.

NOTEPADD++, is better because of it's colors help you to check your codes for errors and consistency. 

I used FP a little bit some time ago but it made me feel like one drag and drop guy. I may use frontpage in the future if i have too much to do in a short period of time.

for me text editors are the best,

Note pad always good to start with as a beginners,
I very much agree  with that,
It aren't good to start off  being lazy using WYSIWYGs.
You may use them as a pro when you have lots of work to do in future.
