Mcjimmy: 2.If you are yet to submit your documents just make sure you submit the document required by the Canadian embassy. I believe for you to get a visa you must have gotten your
Admission letter: which b4 you are being given you must have forwarded your certificate, transcript, Birthcertificate, WAECresult +Scratchcard, which the school applied to must have made verifications before accepting you.
3. For visa I will like to tell everyone that SOP which means STATEMENT OF PURPOSE carries almost the same percentage of attention with Your sponsors documents. Here is it. For you to win the Vo's mind or who ever is assessing the documents, you must specify who you are? according to the documents you have submitted, what you do and what you like doing? Why you have chosen Canada as a place to study, NOTE there must be a sign of sincerity and convincing statement in what you write in you SOP because after reading it , it,s what will decide the Vo's judgement even if you don't have strongSOA. Let them know that you just want to come and study to gain more international knowledge as a leverage in getting a better job in your country. Let them know you are not going to be a problem at all and you can survive in the country, even you can go as long as stating how productive you are and how their country can benefit from your productivity?
They also want to know if you have a work experience in the proposed course of study as well.

These things are what they want to see and not how rich you or your sponsors are. Your intelligence and skill is needed not your financial flamboyance. My brother and my sister got visa with a statements of account of just 2million naira and they both got their visa within a month and few days. We are not as rich as Dangote but they wrote an SOP that is superb. And they now told me that that is what helped them that Canada need serious minded people and skilled productive as well.
Can you pls help with a copy of the SOP to serve as guideline for me in typing mine.
I plan to submit my app on friday.
Thanks in anticipation

My tuition is $13977,i have paid $2600 out of it,i have a brother that schools in canada and am going to be staying with him...on the CIC form, under the amount of tuition box,can I deduct the $2600 that I have paid and write $11377 and also under the amount available for my stay in canada box,can write $20000 as that is the amount of money in the SOA I want to use and I can't get a co-sponsor...

akosh005: Bro, why sorry. The declaration of age was done in the court.......so take the stamp copy to national population council and get ur birth certificate. Is done within a day or two. Be happy
It's not for me...its for my siblings for family information
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 7:14pm On Sep 13, 2014
Sorry house...want to ask a quick question
Can I use a declaration of age in place of birth certificate?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 11:00am On Sep 09, 2014
PlayPays: If there is enough huge cash flow, it would help but still that 2.1 is low and now you can't start putting in funds into the acct. You haven't paid school fees, imagine if cic ask you to pay for 1st year and also accommodation, that 2.1 won't even be enough. Include more financial documents like landed, company or employment of your dad and if your mum or any family member has a good acct too you can include as co-sponsor, another thing is if you have anybody close to your school who can write you a letter that he/she would be accommodating you all thru ur study years, that alone would cut almost half of your expenses.
Yes I have a brother that schools in d same school and he has an accommodation..
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 8:29am On Sep 09, 2014
akosh005: Bro, the money in ur soa do not show u hav cash to pay 4 ur expanse without working in Canada whc is 10000cad equivalent to 1.5m naira plus other expenses. You can boost the money to around 6m - 7m. All d best
Thanks for you response...what if I can't get that much? can I support with documents of landed properties and also I have arranged accommodation in Canada...
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 7:30am On Sep 09, 2014
Urgent advice needed...

On my CIC form, they asked how much is the value of tuition which is $13977..though I have paid $2600 as acceptance fee,the account I want to use for SOA which belongs to my dad has 2.1M in it....I don't know if that will be enough to convince VO to grant visa...if not,how much will have to be in the account in order to be on the safer side?...
Thanks

What's your take on using a barbing certificate to explain my study gap?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 8:57pm On Sep 05, 2014
PlayPays: If it's me I won't include that tho unless it's from a well recognized barbing institute and only if barbing is what I want to go learn in Canada. If you've got like any computer certificate that would help.
Sadly I don't have that
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 8:17pm On Sep 05, 2014
PlayPays: I was working to gain work experience and also know which field or career would fit me before deciding on program to study.
That was my lie.
I am thinking of attaching a barbing certificate to my application to explain the gap in years
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 7:12pm On Sep 05, 2014
degreat11: u don't have to be afraid. just prepare a fantastic SOP explaining the study gap. and why the diploma will catapult u to the next level.
What does SOP mean?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 7:10pm On Sep 05, 2014
PlayPays: Believe me your age is okay. I came in for a diploma even after a degree in Nigeria which I didn't disclose to cic (embassy). It was after I got here I decided to change to post graduate so you have no problem!

Thanks...how did you explain the study gap
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by tweeny24: 5:31pm On Sep 05, 2014
