The western world has been managing their power cost since I was a child .I had an uncle that came in from the United States when I was still a child .This guy kept instructing us to switch off lights and water heaters in my own father's house.I felt he was just plain wicked then .

I felt he was a mad man then but with current tariffs that is the reasonable thing to do.Why will water heaters be powered on all day when it won't be used ?Why should bulbs be kept on when you can see clearly in the house ?

Nigerians are wasteful with electricity.You drive through some places and the bulbs are switched on from morning until midnight .

That is power cost been wasted.
