I was thinking 2 years would have been more better, because by then, you guys might have added 60,000km of paved roads, built about 50 sky crappers, also by then kibera would have been fully demolished and rebuilt into a beautiful neighborhood. Not impossible though Egypt is doing that it will very soon as soon this year overtake South Africa in infrastructure development |

Shma: Nairobi has 23 100m +. don't rely on wiki to feed you with info about Nairobi. Nairobi dwarfs all the cities in SA except Joburg. But for Kenya to catch up to the current level of SA - as a whole, maybe we need 50yrs.
But that is not the point. No one is comparing Kenya with SA. we made a simple estimate that Nai will one day catch up with Joburg, going by the dynamic in infrastructure progress. But your weak emotional boy Austine has caught feelings with that.
He's now calling me a pighead. Not 50yrs maybe 10yrs if we get another infrastructure minded president like Uhuru kenyatta but we're catching up faster than expected |

Lol this is definitely the most developed city in east Africa. This things are naked eye test lol.
When next gtc wants to go high it should steal a page from Addis ananda on how aesthetically beautiful and advanced a skyline should look. Not those hideous tall bland gtc structures with limited acrylic painting ,zero architectural marvel and of course zero aesthetics.
Did I forget to add they have one of the most advanced light rail system In Africa. A look at Addis and you can tell the Chinese did well,but a look at Kenya and you weep cos you can smell hot mandarin Ponzi scheme choking your nostrils. And yet Nairobi still beats addis Ababa By the way you should copy Addis Ababa and build sky scrapers |

Shma: The problem with you is EGO. EGO of sitting in a 30% white-dominated land and thinking you've made it in life. Ego is now telling you that skyscrapers are something outdated, and as we advance, we should not talk about them - when the world's top-notch engineers are busy planning on how to advance to 1km + super tall.
Anyway, Johannesburg has more taller buildings than any country in Africa. The tallest building in Durban will be dwarfed by UAP, talkless of GTC or Britam. As I told them before only Johannesburg beats Nairobi in terms of skycrapers |
Politics › Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by tylann: 6:26pm On May 24, 2022 |
rvp2018: I dont think problem of Africa engineers is technical; there has been no technical advancement in building a railway since 18th century; it remain civil works to flatten the ground; tire two wires together and pour ballast; or building a paved road - remain civil work to flatten the ground, foundation, pour tar or bitumen; difference is minor standards btw countries on the size and dimensions;
Chinese dont have advance tech they use to build their roads or railway compared to Africa contractors. What China have is work ethic - top notch project management - they work 24-7 on a project - and that is what makes all the difference. Generally you need maybe one engineer for every 1,000 workers.
Africans have been sending millions of it professional to train, school, live abroad - but they come back to - to find a culture that reward laziness, corruption and they get used to it.
Few countries that have succeeded in Sub Sahara Africa in stamping out laziness or lack of discipline for me has to be 1) Rwanda 2) Ethiopia. Ethiopia under Meles were able to build about kilometres(not sure) of railway entirely on their own. Rwanda have done incredible job to build discipline in their society.
Chinese are doing great because they work harder than anybody else - they work 7 days a week almost for 12hours everday if not more - Japanase and South Asians generally do the same - that culture of hardwork is what is totally lacking in Africa. Always wondered with South Korea and Japan work ethic it also baffles me why Japan's economy has stagnated for 30 years and korea is kidnapped by family businesses |

vankelvin: You said *He's given us free what? abeg here is road side so I won't say much
This current President of ours is a true definition of cluelessness and I mean it, he is so so clueless and I regreat voting for him in 2016. Just 6 years in power his Government has borrowed more than all what past Presidents borrowed yet he's got nothing special to show for the excessive borrowing. The only thing he has achieved so far are -enriching himself, -his family, -his friends, -his party members, -bribing some opinion leaders, -buying journalists and anyone that says good thing about him, quiet apart from that he has done almost nothing compared to what our former Presidents did.
Did I hear you talk about Ghana-Burkina Faso railway? the one under construction is part of the many projects started by the former President Mahama . The little money Former Presidents Kuffour, Atta Mills and Mahama borrowed were used to build many projects but this current President can't show us what he did with our money.
Everything in Ghana is now expensive not only Estate houses Now that's the difference between you and Kenya Uhuru kenyatta can show you what he has done with the borrowed money Infact he is the best performing president in Kenya in terms of infrastructure development |
