AZeD1:I am not getting into this useless pissing contest with you. I have stated my opinion and I have presented some anectdotes as best as I can recall. If you have nothing sensible to contribute to refute my assertions being that Tinubu wanted Ambode out so as he can claim to have delivered Lagos for Buhari then please kindly do a spell checker. Nonsense! |
Jokerman:U DEY MIND AM |
[s] slimfit1:[/s] Yoruba hypocrisy. Reminds me of the 2015 elections when you guys stated that Jimi Agbaje was too old to be governor of Lagos but you all queued behind a geriatric Buhari. Which infrastructure has your lord Khalifar started and completed? Hypocrites with no sense. AT LEAST BEFORE YOU SPEW YOUR BULLSH!T PASS IT THROUGH YOUR LONG LIST OF LIES |
Tinubu wasn't comfortable with Ambode snuggling with Buhari. Like a street prostitute, Tinubu does not appreciate competition or sharing his street corner. That is the genesis of Ambode's problem with Tinubu. For all the talk, Tinubu's political reach and control has been severely pruned by Buhari as we can see in Ondo, Ekiti and Ogun. With Ambode getting to close to Buhari, Tinubu felt his relevance slipping. |
AZeD1:And you that refuses to aknowledge the well known and widespread fact that Tinubu isn't a Lagosian nko? The thread isn't about what capacity Ambode served but if or not Ambode was ever detained by the EFCC. You can do a grammar check as well while you are looking for ways to discredit my opinion. |
Alphafeezay:Tinubu is really an ignorant fool. He knows that in election matters only the governors can deliver a state for the presidency. He is not a governor and thankfully he will never emerge as one again! Tinubu wants to play the governor's role. Amosun will not share credit with Tinubu after Buhari wins Ogun. So also will Akerodolu or Fayemi. So Tinubu is weary of Aso Rock going through Ambode. This he knows will be used in future to shut him up if he comes demanding for compensation. With Ambode out of APC governorship race ad his stooge about set to emerge as Governor, Tinubu believes he can take credit for delivering at least Lagos and Osun. I won't be surprised if Lagos churns out 5million votes for Buhari in the next election as the relatively low votes Buhari garnered in Lagos compared to Kano or Katsina was what the northerners used to shut him up early in the life of this administration when he was running his mouth that he was the one that single-handedly made Buhari president. |
If there was any such thing as a very loyal Yoruba man loyal to another Yoruba man then Ambode should easily fall into that classification. Ambode was at one time the Commissioner for Finance under Bola Tinubu's kleptomaniac governorship and on several occasion was picked up by the Ribadu-led EFCC during the Obasanjo administration to shed more light on the massive corruption going on in Alausa. Through out his several strings and elongated periods of arrest by the EFCC, Ambode never for once snitched on Tinubu despite mounted pressure directly from Aso Rock. It is important to relate this special relationship which Ambode once had with Tiinubu - same relationship of willing sacrificial and loyal lamb qualities which made Tinubu to solidly throw his weight in supporting for Ambode replacing Fashola. To elaborate how determined Tinubu was in seeing that Ambode ascend to the governorship position, the then out going and two-termed governor (Fashola) had no single say on who was to be his successor - an ignoble and demeaning exit for a governor! In my personal view, I believe strongly that the fall-out between Ambode and Tinubu isn't merely over godfather monthly payments alone but rather the fact that Buhari was working secretly with Ambode over his re-election bid. To put this into proper perspective, Tinubu's stronghold of the SW political landscape has seriously been pruned by Buhari. Other than Lagos and Osun, Tinubu exerts little or no political influence in other states in the SW. Ekiti with Fayemi's emergence wasn't as a result of Tinubu but rather Aso Rock's rigging machinery. In Ondo, Buhari worked against the emergence of Tinubu's preferred candidate. Ogun is a no-go area for Tinubu as the current governor (Amosun) has consolidated all party structures within that state under his own control. In Oyo state, Tinubu had never made any solid advance to be considered as a major political broker. Whatever small influence Tinubu exerts in Oyo came about after the power vacuum that preceded the death of the strong man of Ibadan politics, Lamidi Adedibu. I am very sure Tinubu was privy to Ambode working directly with Buhari towards the latter's re-election bid. Tinubu felt that he must be the only person to be credited with a Buhari win in the SW from where he hopes to negotiate a juicy settlement. Aso Rock must have seen Tinubu's demands for supporting Buhari's re-election as oputrageous and so went directly to Ambode. This I believe is the only sin Ambode has committed i.e. in usurping the the powers of Tinubu. |

What about the HSBC position? The much touted IMF/World Bank gig that was waiting for her? We are waiting to see where her career will take her henceforth. Since she rode a c0ck to a ministerial portfolio lets see if she can replicate it now that her government appointment days are over! Afonjas! |
immhotep:At the end they had their way and replaced Ngozi with one of their own. The only Minister to be sacked over perjury and forgery We need to celebrate Yoruba hypocrisy day. I suggest declaring April 1st as Yoruba Hypocrisy Day. |
Yorubas and their hypocrisy |
Another fool who was blinded by his narrow ethno-religious stupidity Hope the change dey sweet you now |
Metrofox:You see. When I say nah bad bell follow these idiots enter polling boot. |
one of Tinubu's boys that want Ambode out |
Same idiot fashola that supported a sick old tyrant |
Fashola stated in 2015 that Jimi Agbaje was too old to govern Lagos but the same idiot was pushing for a geriatric Buhari as President. I did a thread here highlighting the hypocrisy of these Yoruba people way back in 2014. Let me go dig it up |
Forget the US, lets review the distribution and security apparatuses of the Nigerian Internal security. The current Nigerian Military was structured along colonial interests i.e. not in anticipation of an external threat but rather internal. The Colonial administrators built military bases in strategic towns and places in Nigeria as a precursor in stemming internal strife. This same handed sown military doctrine is what the Nigerian security policy and stratagem is based on. |
From what I can gather so far, the ongoing rift between Tinubu and his estranged stooge Ambode, stems from a "hot mic" gaffe where after Ambode supposedly ended a phone conversation with Tinubu still hanging on the line, Ambode will vent his frustration with an aide present in his office complaining bitterly about Tinubu's incessant demands for money from his office. Ambode unknowingly that Tinubu was still on the line, stated, "if he wants 2billion, give him 4billion. I am tired! Every time money, MONEY!". The majority of Lagos APC members and elected officials are siding with Tinubu against Ambode which we can't blame them since virtually all of them owe Tinubu for whatever position they find themselves in the feeding frenzy buffet line at the expense of tax payers. But what is most remarkable is the reasons they presented as excuse for not backing Ambode for a second term which is that Ambode has not been generous enough with the distribution of Lagos state wealth under his administration. So in essence, these vagabonds are basing Ambode's 4 year tenure on the level or rather low level of largess bestowed on them from the govt coffers! Incredible! This is the first time I am hearing openly from a political party that the reason they want one of theirs to step down is because he is not sharing the money! Isn't this what the APC zombies have been accusing the PDP of? - SHARING THE MONEY! Isn't this also the same reasons that the APC agents of perdition used as an excuse to explain away the recession, claiming that with their new Sherrif in town the reign of free money is over? For everything the APC accuses others of, they are 10 times more guilty! The level of corruption in Lagos state in particular since 1999 under the vice leprous grip of that festering canker-worm Tinubu surpasses that of any other state and on the federal level. What baffles me the most about this Ambode-Tinubu rift is the fact that Tinubu and his blind zombie supporters believe that Ambode owes Tinubu money for putting him in Alausa. This then means that these people are admitting and also approving of Godfatherism in democracy. They are also admitting that they have no say in their own democratic process since Tinubu is the one who decides who rules them. So much for sophisticated politics! They also see nothing wrong with Tinubu getting paid a juicy percentage of tax payers money thereby endorsing corruption. So in essence the majority of Tinubu's Yoruba supporters see nothing with Tinubu's unbridled greed and corruption. Is this why Yorubas like supporting criminals and ex-cons? Because what I can gather from Tinubu's continued dominance is that he truly represents the society he leads as his own people see nothing wrong with his blatant greed and corruption. Next time you want to take your brooms that double as your ewedu mixer to the public square claiming to do sanitation, please try and clean your own squalid dirty rooms! Sophisticated buffoons! |
Thank MagicBishop for bringing this to the fore. The Yoruba Muslim is not a meme but a real demograph bent on self subjugation to Sokoto. Yoruba History is there for all to reference and the role of the Yoruba Muslim in bringing the Oyo Empire to it's knees. Not contended with this, the 21st century Yoruba Muslim is motivated by extreme jealousy to his other fellow non-muslim Yoruba. He feels the only way to rise is to sell his brothers to Sokoto. |
Tinubu Fights Fashola Over 2011 Lagos lawmakers have risen quickly to quash the talk about the impeachment of Babatunde Fashola, the popular Governor who has transformed the city and the suburbs in just two years in the saddle, and is applauded by residents, as well as by fellow Governors and federal officials. Lagosians became more alarmed on Monday when the story intensified of the improbable sack of Fashola, their best Governor since Lateef Jakande, who was at the helm from 1979 unt il the military putsch on December 31, 1983. Jakande built new schools and housing estates, and introduced free education and healthcare, in line with the vision of Obafemi Awolowo, who brought free education to the Western Region as Premier in 1955. Fashola has since upgraded social facilities and added new ones, among them a highly popular transport system, known as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), and an unprecedented beautification of the landscape. Even a Mayor in Ghana recently visited Lagos with his officials to study and replicate Fashola's successful waste management scheme, which processes rubbish into manure for sale to farmers. From nearer home, officials of the Kano State Government also came visiting, taking home the development models of Lagos, the mega city. Well, Lagos Assembly Majority Leader, Taiwo Kolawole, said on Tuesday that the rumour of impeachment is baseless, because "there is nothing like that, and I can assure you that if such a thing should take place, hold me responsible. "We don't need to comment on a report that is based on falsehood. So you don't expect us to promote something that is not true. I don't know where the obnoxious story came from." In the main, the fracas is between former Governor Bola Tinubu and his protg, Fashola, who was his Chief of Staff, and whom he hand- picked to succeed him in Lagos House. But the relationship between the two has deteriorated in recent times as a result of what a source described as the "overbearing attitude of Tinubu." Daily Independence reliably gathered that things got so bad that plans have reportedly been concluded by the Action Congress (AC) in Lagos, headed by Tinubu, to field another candidate for the 2011 Governorship election. Reports had suggested that some state AC leaders endorsed the plot to impeach Fashola for refusing to dance to the tune of Tinubu. It was said that the lawmakers had collected about 32 signatures to serve Fashola with an impeachment notice over alleged financial misappropriation. But Information, Security and Strategy Committee Chairman, Ipoola Omisore, insisted that, "There is no plan to impeach him. We have not discussed anything concerning impeachment. Some people are just speculating what is not." When asked if he was consulted on the purchase of the two surveillance helicopters launched on Monday, Omisore riposted: "I am not complaining. The Security Trust Fund is not a government institution; it is not an agency under the purview of the state government. "It is an agency initiated by the government and funded by outsiders. It is not an agency of the government, so I cannot ask them to open their books." However, a source said the lawmakers are not happy that Fashola failed to carry them along in the purchase of the helicopters. Nonetheless, Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Olorunnimbe Mamora, warned the legislators to desist from taking any action that will make them lose the support of voters. Mamora, former Lagos Assembly Speaker, dismissed the rumour of the impeachment plan. He said Fashola has impacted greatly on the lives of Lagosians for the lawmakers to think that it is possible for them to get rid of him without opposition from the people. "Even though I see the story as a mere speculation, I want to state that the Lagos lawmakers should stop beating the drum of war because we don't know who will be the first man to fall. Speculations about the lawmakers trying to remove (Fashola) is unnecessary distraction," Mamora cautioned. "It is a natural thing for differences to exist in any society or organisation. It is only ideal for such differences to be settled in line with the law and the Constitution. "(Fashola) has been doing his best to improve the standard of living of the people of the state. In fact, he has been a reference point. So, there is no reason whatsoever for anybody to be planning such a move to remove the governor." To douse the tension, on Tuesday night Tinubu and Fashola rode in the same car to a meeting at the State House, Marina, which deliberated on the state's position on the Constitution review. Also present were Mamora; former Works Minister, Femi Okunnu; Olorunfunmi Bashorun; and Femi Gbajabiamila. Tinubu, uncharacteristically, left without responding to greetings from well wishers who loitered around. However, another meeting of Yoruba leaders was held at the instance of some interest groups to resolve the rumpus. They discussed the implications of the dispute on South West politics prior to the 2011 elections, and resolved to convene an enlarged meeting of AC leaders in Lagos this week, which will involve Alani Akinrinade, and AC National Chairman, Bisi Akande. The issues discussed at the meeting on Tuesday centered on the need to prevail on Tinubu to remove his stranglehold on the Lagos AC, so as to allow all stakeholders have their say in the running of the party, particularly in choosing its Governorship candidate for 2011. Fashola himself said: "The report is false. It is all rumour mongering. People are looking for a divide where there is none. There is no reason for us to fight. (Tinubu) is the leader of my party that I love. "The reason for him coming to my house on the Marina, and the reason for a four-hour closed door meeting was to strategise for the Constitution review, as Lagos is scheduled to host the South West meeting. "Tinubu's experience as Governor is worth sharing. Nothing will come between me and him." http://nigeriavillagesquare.com/forum/threads/tinubu-fights-fashola-naija-nawah.39259/ |
boy16:And so? If Fashola was so stupid not to realize that Tinubu is who he is today by virtue of being governor of Lagos for 8years, Ambode is not stupid to be another puppet. |
