Crime / Re: Nigeria's Security Agencies And Kidnapping by TylerDurden: 10:00pm On Jan 18
chinedu234:
We are being regaled with ugly stories of kidnapping in Nigeria today. No region is spared the trauma. Citizens are becoming haunted. Security agencies are finding it very difficult to keep pace with the criminals. The question is Why? I may not have all the answers, but I believe that to solve a problem, the best possible option is to improve your self. Have the security agencies improved themselves? Let us look at how the security agencies especially the DSS may have aided the current kidnapping for ransom in the country. How many Nigerians remember the modus operandi of this security outfit when it comes to arrest of suspects. Midnight operations. Breaking down of doors and walls. Removal of house roofs. Brutal invasion of offices. Vehicle Chase and double crossing of victims/suspects on the roads. Invasion of court houses and legislative assemblies. These impunious displays were staged not minding the possible outcomes and consequences. Today, we witness kidnappings patterned after those displays of the security agencies. We even see them wearing their uniforms. The initial effort by the kidnappers was to make their crimes look like security operations. And today, they exhibit their own impunity by showing us videos of their activities. Conclusion: Are the security agencies ready to improve themselves? Can they restore confidence in the people? The time is still morning. A stitch can still save 9.

This is the most stupid post I have ever encountered here on NL.

So DSS raids on criminals are the reason why we have a kidnapping epidemic in Nigeria ?

You people ehn!

discusant:

Even if the kidnappers had no Igbo names, so long as they were captured in Kaduna-Kano axis, Igbo names would be invented for them.
Fetching firewood infested by ants through adoption of sharia criminal laws by the 12 northern states, the Boko Haram fighting for a country to be governed with sharia criminal laws bred bandits who kidnap in the north. Wetin go make Igbo man go do kidnapping in Abuja and, worse, head towards the far north? Bunkum.

And why will the police single out only Ibo identity for them ?

Evans nah kanuri abi?

Senseless

At the bolded :

Are Ibos not kidnapping northern children and selling them in the SE?

Also, have you considered that there might be scenario where a kidnapping gang kidnaps a victim and sells it to another gang ?

The above scenario is rampant along Benin axis where local gangs waylay travellers and kidnap them only to sell them to Fulani terrorists deep in the forest .

There have been instances where one kidnapping gang will sell their victims to another kidnapping cartel

I believe this was the case .

The victim was kidnapped and was in the process of being transferred to another criminal cartel

The police should look deep into this and investigate if the arrested suspect is linked to a terror cell.

You can never rule this out .

Of course it's fake news because Chinasa and co were involved.

In the other thread you said it was a setup by the police to get some innocent people to be as fall guys now you are saying it's fake news.

Pls tell us why you are doubting the police report ?

Kaduna, Kano or Abuja? grin

Dey shine teeth there.

The echo chamber you want on NL can not be replicated in real world.

You better start dissociating yourselves from criminals and condemning them outrightly instead of making excuses for them.

The excuses the north made for BH and Fulani bandits has now overtaken them.

Condemn evil when you see it irrespective of if the perpetrators are your kinsmen

The spin has started, pick up some random people and use them to explain the serious cases of kidnapping that is obvious, in the end, the crime will continue as the real perpetrators are left unharmed.

Most Nigerians knows who has been committing heinous crimes in Kaduna, Niger, nassarawa and other states close to Abuja, they all kept quiet till the monster grew, and started to converge in Abuja, still the police dis nothing.

Now they will start picking up people to explain away the crimes, whe people are still being kidnapped, and killed.

Nigeria is a pathetic place.

This is by far the most pathetic ethnic baiting comment I have ever come about here.

So the arrested suspect and that other one wanted do not fit your stereotypical kidnappers?

So the police just randomly picked the guy up and declared the others as wanted kidnappers to cover up ?

Can you explain to us in detail without jumping around the bush why you think the arrested and wanted suspects are being framed by the police for kidnapping ?

I am waiting.

This can only happen after the decline and fall of Lagos, which will happen 2024.

Go and check all those madly opposing igbo presidency, where they come from, where they draw their strength

Come and destroy Lagos .

This is how your foolish Ojukwu , instead of facing his war with the north, decided to invade Lagos after invading and occupying the Midwest.

Just carry your Kaya and go back to your yeast .

How can a people be so envious, bitter, hate filled and covetous at the same time ?

Donaldoni:
A leap year comes once in 4 years.

February this year will have 29 days.

Very significant to events and anniversary dates/days.

2020 was a leap year.

Leap years are associated with mass deaths as per European myth.

For the Chinese, this is the year of the dragon which translates to good fortune and great strides but only for those born under the dragon sign.

People born under the dragon sign are highly ambitious, strong and have a streak of goodluck.

The year of the dragon is a masculine year favoring those under the Yang aka masculine.

Strength
Ambition
Aggression
Masculinity

This can only mean victory for the most aggressive and most ambitious.

I see war in the horizon.

If there is one fundamental threat to our democracy, it is the undermining and weakening of our national institutions and the capture of state affairs and resources by few individuals and private interests.

Coming from a bloody hypocrite who was accused of diverting state resources to his private portfolio and Brewery business.

The first step to real Referendum is coming before Q2 2024..... Organize by either the hardliners or the moderates....

Support the moderates because their opinion is based on restructuring and a confederation framework.

But if you wish the hardliners to win, well. As their name suggest, expect combat if you deny them their request.

Weather moderate or extremists , I personally support your exit .

Table it and see if anyone will oppose it .

So why do your people travel to other state or country? U people think like fools ...

Aba, onistha, ochanja, upper iweka, Enugu market, ogbor hill, Owerri are dominated and own but igbos. In Ibadan, and Kano, the non-indigene are dominated by igbos...same goes to Lagos. Now look at it, how can we dominate our region and still do the same in other region?

It mean some people don't travel but live on the crumbs off their slave masters or the rent from their tenants (igbos).

Yoruba, school in yoruabland, marry in yorubaland, omonile in yorubaland, thuggery in Yorubaland..die in yorubaland..travel and witness great states. Mumu

The only places you dominate outside your yeast is brothels and prison yard .
