prevent it by creating emergency recovery discs, 2 system recovery disks, system image or back up your system folders to disk. |
right according to mine manufacurers (toshiba win 7 satellite) you cannot overcharge the battery as it has a measure to stop the power as soon as it is fully charged. As long as it is not on charge for a week constantly, it cannot be damaged. It will be degraded with time though until a point where it will no longer hold its charge so it is advisable to switch off when fully charged. But if you are doing any major thing, like backing up files, downloading films , watching football/ movies e.tc, always keep it plugged in. |
In most things you want to do with the laptop, you need it in the AC plug anyway, whether it is fully charged or not. My handbook for my toshiba advises the computer to be always plugged in , if i am watching films, downlading, or backing up any files, whether the charge on battery is 100% or not. The battery is only good for just nomal surfing and light computer work. Modern laptops are totally different from old ones ( just got one this week) and it has nothing about overcharging or not. But then i will email the manufacturers just to see the response and i shall post up the reply here. |
most pple believe this trash. to tell u the truth, once the laptop is connected to Direct power source(DC), it will automatically switch to that source while charging the battery. it will remain charged until the power pack is removed from the socket, when the system is automatically switched to the battery(AC). dats why one can still use the laptop even if the battery is no longer working - just connect it to the light source. My laptop's battery is so dead now and i still use it with the electricity socket.i think you have it the other way around. the plug in the wall is AC while the battery is DC The battery would not overcharge, not in modern laptops anyway. when you connect it to the wall. AC it charges the battery and when the battery is full, it keeps using the AC as normal without using the battery, just like your TV or any other appliance. When you unplug it form the wall, it switches to battery DC and starts using that. If you plug it all the time, when it charges the battery fully, it would just revert to AC status like leaving you desktop PC on all the time. However it is advisable to unplug it when it is fully charged, as many batteries would wear down with time as a result of charging and recharging. it also depends on the battery type. I think the lithium ones have fail safes to ensure these do not happen. |
ufobabe:Good luck and God bless |
this is why the authorities are catching everyone. All the secrets are on the internet |
yes |
yes washing toilet is £5.65 but a bottle of large coke £1.20. way more expensive than naija. pint of beer £3.20 and petrol is £1.10 a litre. It is not the amount ,but what it buys. |
The reason is mainly peace of mind, not really money or wealth. I know no policeman or soldier will slap me on the road. The price of everything is what it is for everyone whether you na big man or small man. you do not need egunje to do anything, and most of all it is rare for armed robbers to break into your house and shoot you (although it does happen sometimes) because you no get money. Most people carry only cards around anyway so no thousands of pounds or naira when you are travelling so no need for luxurious highway robbers or machine gun mopol looking for money. so if you be general manager of justice you must queue for train station like the taxi driver for front. |
@ sandykoko why should your cousin not contribute to the bills. Do you not know that when more people stay in the house, you use more heating, + electricity, + more gas and if council hear say na 2 people dey property, council tax go climb by 25%. i am a nigerian living in the uk, i have gone into debt 3 times to please lazy relatives at home , but no matter what you do, even if you buy ferrari they will never appreciate and they will keep looking for me. Me never again. i have settled and have my own mouth to feed so everyone can go to hell. if i have i will give. if not well too bad. No More gbese on my head. so check your facts before you say people are stingy. That is why many naija people no matter how hard they work can never buy any decent thing. because they are feeding millions back in naija. |
