fizzy123: I do remember that when a player's stamina gauge becomes low, depending on Injury type, he cud get a muscle pull before the end of d game, and i also remember dat on FIFA i put a player at 60th min. he has much strength to chance weak players Yeah yeah i made it a practice to always bring on a very pacy winger off the bench at the 73rd min so he can beat those weak ass fullbacks very easily lol. Have u stopped gaming? |

GloryIsaac: Consumer-attracting innovations?, like seriously?.... We're talking about something thats made to be entirely realistic here... Besides, Pace alone cant win you matches in FIFA... there has to be a tactical buildup, from passes to player positioning... thats why teams like Tottenham can beat Real Madrid, the gamer has to be very tactical and not rely just on his superstars abilities... And as for stamina, if you keep running with your fullbacks everytime.. they'll definitely get injured or start performing below their abilities... thats why gamers sub any tired player immediately unless its a superstar ... True tho. But man you wouldn't deny the depth of tactical options at your disposal in PES. It allows you to play like u would if u had the ball at your feet in reality. What i mean by pace winning u games is this-- alright, after about fifteen career mode/master league matches at a stretch, u get fatigued and at this point u start conceding goals cos u aren't really focusing much on ur players positioning, next u start playing rash football, holding the sprint and two-man tackle/teammate pressure buttons like a fool [of course in fifa your teammates would still be running well enough to pull this off decently] . If u did this on PES the AI would brilliantly exploit all those loop holes u left while running at them roughly. I've had instances in FIFA where ive won very important matches playing like this. Thats just my opinion tho |

GloryIsaac: You seem to misunderstand the fact that the references I made were just to backup the point that majority of people ( even the popular ones) prefer FIFA to PES.... In the case of referring to a Ferrari, you lost it fulltime.. Most people want to drive such a car but can't afford it, Toyota is used only b'cos its economy-friendly... Such doesn't apply to FIFA and PES where both are affordable and despite PES being cheaper, people still go for FIFA.. KSI is an individual, I agree.. but I doubt if he'll be raking in millions from YouTube if he was playing PES, I was shocked when I saw the rate at which people watch his videos.. Can someone be this rich just from playing FIFA? a video game... I ain't trying to push you over to the FIFA World, I'm just saying that I prefer FIFA to PES, and its clearly b'cos of what I see in it... I'm pretty sure that plenty Nigerians started with PES on PS2, but when PS3 came out.. FIFA became King.. Now PES is gradually emulating FIFA b'cos they can't keep up with the game... PES players can now control their own celebrations, maybe next year they'll bring out Women Football... EA sports is a better structured body compared to Konami[a random Asian vid game company]. Thats why they get licenses quite easily. I doubt we'd be seeing another PES installment next year tho. There's a lot of crisis going on at Konami rn bt if we do see one, i bet EA would hv bought off licensing rights for all the popular female football clubs. It all Depends on one's preference after all. If all of these consumer-attracting innovations are enough for u to sacrifice gameplay that very closely simulates real football, then fine. And when i talk abt PES being better on-pitch, i mean the entire flow of the game and not just goal celebrations and cut-scenes. Like PES is focused on slow build up play, but in FIFA pace alone can win you matches. Like the stamina system in FIFA is just broken. You can have a full back run back and forth the wings severally and at the 83rd min, he'd be running at pretty much the same speed. |

fizzy123: I agree with ya, its cuz ppl started playing PES in PS2 too long for dem not to see d difference in 2 ov em, I started with PES on PS 2,,,, but gaming with a PC changed that thought in me that PES was the best.... infact i played soccer games from SNES, to gameboy to N64 using emulators on PC, i remember playing ISS on N64, it was cool, yeah buh dat was back den, PES was cool buh dat was wen FIFA wasnt as popular in Naija, nd even nw cuz ppl hav gotn used to PES gameplay they fall sick playing FIFA cuz they think it sucks (gameplay) nd too difficult
and dont gt me wrong, i love PES buh FIFA is "the game" Nah i enjoy both games for diff reasons. I'd be more than willing to make the switch back to FIFA if they started making the important things rights, the more reason i like poking my nose whenever i hear people make this comparism. Uhm really? You play on the Keyboard? Woww. You need to get used to weighting the power gauge more accurately bruv, that shouldn't be much of a problem. Playing on manual gives just as much freedom in determining power and direction, if not more. Do yourself a favor and get a controller, you are limiting your gaming experience man. Truth be told, during the PS2 era, PES used to hold sway until around 2010 or so when FIFA kept getting better and better year after year[i used to play FIFA fulltime during this period until PES 15], and ever since, they've had konami striving to meet the standards EA set. Since after the massive flop on PES 14, konami finally got their shit together, got better with '15. And their installment for this year truly surpassed those standards, where necessary. |

GloryIsaac: Bro, You cant say Pes on pitch is better.. come on man, have you played Fifa 16 on Ps3 or 4 compared to Pes 16... And mind you, Fifa has introduced us to the game of women football... If Pes on-pitch was so great, i think celebs and players alike will enjoy playing it... Guess what?, Fifa hosted a Game World Cup immediately after the 2014 World Cup right there in Brazil.. that shows you how far they have gone, i doubt if there's anything like a Pes World Cup .. i aint downplaying Pes, but the truth has to be said... Check out KSI on youtube, he has made a fortune out of playing Fifa... #TeamFifa16 #peace lmaooo what are u saying. Why don't you drive a Ferrari? I mean most celebs & players like it better than a Toyota. Haha u are one funny man. I saw u post something like this earlier on in this forum & i had a good laugh. You clearly don't know what u like, if celebs were playing PES you prolly would be saying the same thing abt the game. And i am tired of hearing about KiS or whatever his name is. Kis is an individual and has his own preferences, choice is subjective. Again this proves the fact that u don't know what u want lol. Fifa game worldcup? Lol let EA be using those things to deceive y'all |

fizzy123: In FIFA even if my shots are Assisted, in a way i still get to control my shot power buh in PES even on Manual, tapping Shot is terrible. the ball goes like, u gyz knw what its called na "bullet" (even on PES 16)! Dont you gyz find that to be wierd? Infact we play ball, which of you can fire the kind of shot they pull out on PES? Physics: Science students remember Projectiles, Isnt ball a projectile? buh i pull out a shot and the ball lands like a stone dat was thrown from d top of a building..... If I am wrong please prove me wrong! "as for me i go for FIFA no matter what..." your mind is clearly made up, so u wouldn't realise even the obvious. The ball physics actually is one of greatest improvement in PES this year. I've had the ball make some really unpredictable motion. Don't even talk abt the ball not making projectile-esque motion, like thats the easiest thing to replicate into a video game. The real problem is w/ coding in this type of motion and at the same time allowing unpredictablilty(like we often see in real life due to natural forces). How can you say the ball lands like a stone? Prove this pleaseee...a video or something Lmao thats just plain lie. Blatant lies can't be basis for valid argument lol How does playing on manual feel terrible ? Lol I think the problem is w/ your inability to measure and weight your input(shot and passes) accurately, having played on ASSISTED for so long. |

akocce: FIFA is all about expensive face scans... the commentary is always top-notch, the kits and stadia are always up to date... but then it stops at that... players' face likeness doesn't translate to real players' likeness... and also FIFA is always lacking in the gameplay department. enter PES 2016... d best football simulation... the player movements are replicated with uncanny accuracy... for any sports game, the gameplay is always key. it's d bedrock of everything, nt jst d razzmatazz and glitz. For me, I've played both FIFA 16 and PES 2016, and d difference is 7up! FIFA is for football club fans... PES is for gamers! Exactly, these fifa fanatics speak like they've never watched a game of football. EA pays a lot of attention to the presentation and interface of the menus but Konami focuses on where it matters the most "The Pitch". Y'all need to watch replays in PES and see how the players momentarily raise their heads and blink their eyes in search of teammates making brilliant runs. Konami pays meticulous attention to on-the-pitch detail and i think thats what one would expect for a simulation of the great game of football. If you want to play good El clasico quality football, play PES. If you want to simply enjoy football in all its aesthetics(off pitch basically), go for the EA product. Whatever floats your boat. |

fizzy123: If not for the collision system that was introduced into PES this year, there wud hav been no cause to argue which is better cuz FIFA is better. Gameplay wise, commentary, player movements, initiatives (all FIFA). The only thing PES to me has been able to beat is player faces... This seems to me like a fifa die-hards thread hidden beneath the facade of a question. So i would have just scrolled away if i hadn't seen this. Gameplay wise? really? Even the worst pes critics know how well pes shines as regards gameplay. Have you ever played football? If by player movements, you mean the animations, i am forced to ask how much time have you spent playing PES? I can't help laughing at how clumsy the animation on fifa is whenever a player gets clipped and is stumbling. Commentaries...come on, man don't be so 2008 every gamer knows EA have the upper hand here. And especially for the ton of licences EA purchased that has fifa winning year in year out(although that can be patched on pes). Initiatives? Lol Pls be more precise. Bottomline is both games have areas where they shine, and this year, if we'd be very objective and openminded [although I've come to realise that Nigerians are very closeminded and like following the bandwagon] , we would all easily admit that PES shines in a lot more areas that FIFA this year. |

LARRYDKING: I wish to give some words here to reaffirm hope to those who have lost it.
SCREENING PROCESS
I was screened yesterday. Pls, follow davbravo's instructions to have a smooth screening on d day urs is slated for. Lest for the stress of Lagos transport, I would have said the process is totally stress free.
I was taken aback when a JUPEB candidate could not be screened because he has NABTEB result. He was advised to differ his admission for a year to get a neco or waec result. I couldn't belive it. All in all, due process should be followed.
AWAITING ADMISSION
If u haven't been offered admission, there are several slots still LYING FALLOW in different depts. when I was been screened, the officers journeyed into the world of u ending discussion while I listen carefully to bring u feedback. For other depts, I can't say but according to the officer, there are more than 50 slots in the faculty of law to still be given out. THERE IS/ARE STILL MORE ADMISSION LIST(s) TO BE RELEASED, never lose hope. However, the clause is strong connection.
FOR POLYTECHNIC CANDIDATES
For subsequent admission, say nxt year and beyond, that polytechnic candidates may be vying for, if u have the opportunity to gaze through this thread, pls, don't be discouraged. Have it at the back of ur mind that if u merit the conditions, u will be offered admission. I've also noticed special considerations and preferences are given to candidates for reputable and high class polytechnics.
I remain glad for having a polytechnic background. However fallow these slots may seem to be lying, truth be told they're prolly already occupied, its just not official yet. Not trynna be pessimistic or some shitt tho imo. Im in no doubt concerning the release of another lowkey list, im just wondering how the screening would occur seeing as supp screening rounds off in a week. Thx for being so attentive bro, even tho u ain't directly affected. |
