I know someone who got scammed here. He was sold a lemon puppy, the pup has refused to grow despite investing heavily on it in the areas of food, medical care and quality time. He paid over 100k for it

what didn't add up about the story?
something is wrong with the dogs, it's not about quality or how much he spent on the dogs.
they most likely have a medical condition.
you grilling him that he bought cheap dogs is just not necessary or relevant to the questions he asked.
and what exactly is a fake dog? so a dog being sick makes it fake?? do you think even puppies from the best bloodlines don't fall sick too?
besides, no matter how cheap a dog is it deserves to be helped when it's struggling, if you were truly a dog lover the price of the dog isn't what would have come to your mind first

I agree with you that the cost of the dog is irrelevant at this stage.

However fake breeds or lemme use a preferable term, there are breeds that are not pure.

The Op didn't say that his pup is sick, just that it's a picky eater.

I know someone who paid over a 100k for a caucasian puppy but received a bad breed. He feeds the dog, it's taken all the necessary vaccination but still it looks small, does not grow at all even though it has a big appetite.

I had fond memories with this E39.

1. It is a 206 in disguise. Shouldn't be rocket science to convert to manual.
2. It is not in my place to consider the availability of technical know how to do the conversion, it is the op's cup of tea.
3. Did I offend you in any way? Cos me I am not understanding oo.

1. Even if it isn't rocket science, not every kazeem on the roadside can carry out the conversion.
2. It is good to give the Op the heads up as it seems he/she is inexperienced with these car issues.

If the car is stunningly cheap, and you don't mind driving a manual, buy it and swap in a manual gear box.

Before dishing out your advice, you should consider whether the Op knows an expert technical hand that can carry-out conversion with no issues afterwards. I have seen men who got frustrated after carrying out a conversion, post conversion issues no be here.

I feel that no matter how cheap the owner wishes to sell the car, the Op should be prepared to replace the gearbox. Or look for one with a factory fitted manual transmission to buy.

Paperwork:
I found a Citreon c3 2004 model. The seller says everything is in good condition except the gear. He says changing into the gear 2 is a little difficult but that it is fixable. I asked how much and he said 10k. He says he knows a good mechanic who can get it done.
I looked online and found out that citreon c3 is known for gear problems.
So guys, do you think this gear can be fixed successfully?. Or should I just ditch it and keep looking?.
Anyone who knows this car model should please tell me their experience.

If the gear is fixable and only cost NGN10k, advise the owner to put up the car for sale only after fixing the gear. And be ready to test drive it at long distances to be sure that the gear is truly problem free.


My point is, most car owners /dealers will lie about the true problems the cars they want to sell has.

If you choose to go ahead with the deal, you may need to save up to replace the gearbox soon.
