The government of Ebonyi has identified needs and reasons for recertification of landed properties’ C-of-O within the state, thereby request for immediate reapplication in avoidance of property loss to the state.

According to the Special Adviser to the governor on Land and Survey who made the announcement of Thursday morning.

According to him “This is to notify the general public that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State has issued an Executive Order that all Certificates of Occupancies must be recertified. In view of this ,the general public are hereby notified that the former C of O’s are hereby withdrawn.

There is ongoing recertification of all C of O’s and Revalidation of all title documents in Ebonyi State by the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands and Survey.

All affected persons should proceed to FCMB to pay the sum of twenty thousand naira only (20,000) into the dedicated IGR account.

After making the payment in the bank, you should bring the teller with two photocopies of all relevant documents and receipts pertaining to the landed property in two file jackets to the Office of the SA on Lands and Survey at Block 2, Third floor, Centenary City Abakaliki for verification.

By this development, the general public are hereby advised not to transact any business concerning landed property without recertification certificates from the Office of the SA on Lands and Survey as the former documents are no longer legal tender by the provisions of the Executive order.

Banks and other relevant institutions should be properly guided please.

Justice Adolphus Enebele of the High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, has convicted Gracious David-West of the murder of eleven women in hotels last year, and the attempted murder of Benita Etim.

Justice Enebeli sentenced David West to death by hanging in the neck, after he was found guilty of murder and attempted murder of eleven ladies in hotels located in Port Harcourt and Owerri, Imo State.

Justice Enebeli however discharged and acquitted the second defendant Nimi ThankGod who was arraigned for misconduct with corpse.

There's no reason to justify his action. The best thing he would have done was to temporally seal and prosecute the owners.


Demolishing somebody's source of livelihood is the most stupid thing to have done. Fight corona virus and leave peoples properties alone, not obeying lockdown is not a criminal offence.

He should understand that somebody was the governor before him and he will equally vacate that seat one day for another person, so be guided.

I have read several articles in this platform where people are just pointing accusing fingers on the government without carrying out proper investigations as to know what really happened.

1. Did you know that the demolished hotel did not just operate, but, was hosting a party amidst this covid-19 pandemic??

2. Did you also know that the wanted PDP youth leader of eleme is the owner of the said hotel??

3. Did you also know that he shot at the covid-19 committee members that went to carry out their job by letting them know that what they were doing was against the executive order of the state government??

4. Did you also know that just because he's a PDP youth leader, so, he felt he can disobey the order of the Government?? Show leadership by example.

5. Did you also know that the said hotel habors prostitutes even in this covid-19 pandemic??

6. As a PDP youth leader, he should have shown example to the people he's leading, but, he decided to do otherwise.
