I personally prefer TCF and anyone I know, I would tell them to write it...TEF & TCF formats are different though, so since you already have a good French knowledge, I would say you can begin preparations for TCF and set a goal for 2 months of serious preparations. I used 3 months because I had never written any exam in French so I wanted to take my time and make sure I passed it once. But remember TCF is only done in Alliance Française Port Harcourt...if you don't mind flying there, then go for it. I went from Abuja and TCF is the best decision I ever made.

Ee and Eo 432 445 respectively C1 in rest . I felt prepared and fauled. So is tcf not a vaible option?

You can try TEF again...remember it's a test of your French knowledge...but if you feel like the TEF format isn't for you, then you can try TCF. It's just that you'll have to accustom yourself to the TCF format which will require at least 2 months of good preparation. The tutor is based in Abuja...is that where you're based?

You can download TCF textbooks online using google search. There are many helpful websites for TCF exam practice also. Getting a tutor to correct your errors and your speaking would also be great. I spent about 3 months preparing for the exam with a brilliant tutor in Abuja. He was only used to TEF and I was his first ever TCF student but this man really helped me with EE & EO and always corrected my mistakes.[/quote]

The exam costs 160k and is only written at Alliance Francaise, Port Harcourt. If you want to write, you'll have to contact them to send you their account number and registration form. If you're coming from outside Port harcourt like me, you will also need to set aside funds for hotel, flight and transportation. To me, it is all worth it because I strongly believe that TCF is better than TEF.
