Like I said I've had cats for about 25 years I have definitely been scratched a lot but never bitten. Nothing ever happened to me. And all my cats are strays cats.

I hate cats. Sorry if I sound cruel but the fact is I hate them. Well, a cat was always jumping into our compound and. I have been finding how to stop it without hurting it. Sad thing is that it gave birth in our compound and the babies can hide more than Osama.
One morning I perceived a foul smell and lo and behold there at a corner the mother was dead. We don't know the cause of it's death.

1. Should I sell off the babies
2. Or kill them

Just get a long prosthetic hand and try adjusting the dog food plate when he's eating. if the dog doesn't mind,then he's friendly and a go for, but if their exist a growl and a nibble on the prosthetic,then i m sure u know what needs to be done...prodegee can fill in the gaps from here

I will go with managed because to the best of my knowledge do far, virus are managed not treated because there is no cure for viruses yet. You manage by treating the symptoms that occurs and boosting the immune as well. this is not just in dogs alone both humans.

I support and share your experience on this issue. If I see a smaller poisonous snake in my house I might have to kill it because of others living with me. And, mind you, that's because I found it lurking somewhere in my house. But nothing will ever make me kill a python. That snake is very intelligent and, at times, friendly to humans. And it pains me that this particular snake has been victimised more often than the more dangerous ones. Most of them were not killed in human homes, they were killed in their own habitats!

I don't want to go the religion way with u but the word serpent is Latin and has been used to describe different mythological symbols. Serpent, and not snake, was used in the bible. I don't know how they ended up translating serpent to snake. Even at that, the bible said that after God has created everything he admired them cos they were good in his eyes. 1. A snake would never attack a human unless provoked. People say snakes can attack a person when he sleeps but that's a very fat lie! Snakes are almost blind creatures, they follow mostly sound and faint movement of objects. If they notice a human around, they turn back.

2. Once u chase a snake from a place it would never come back again. So in case a snake in that same place next time, it must be another one.

3. Snakes don't feed all the time like ur useless, noisy dogs. A python usually feeds two or 3 times a year. So it hardly attacks animals, not to mention humans. The smaller snakes hunt rats and insects that worry you to survive.

4. Pythons are constrictors. Most of the dead snakes displayed on Nairaland are pythons. These creatures kill their preys by squeezing and swallowing them as a whole. They are non-venomous, so even if they bite you (I pray they do someday) you only need to treat the wound against tetanus.

5. They're lovely animals created by the God u serve, and they're not as dangerous as they look! I get more terrified when I see silly, over-fed dogs barking at me. So, in all ramification, your dog is more dangerous than the most poisonous snake on earth.

Dogs who don't get enough colostrum don't have as strong of an immune system as those who do.

Pure bred puppies are weaned at 3-6weeks of age, Local bred puppies have as much milk.

I wiill explain further in my next post.

bro even human fall under mammal as animal.so dog too is an animal...have you taken your dog to a vet hospital before?...its not by just loving them.How much are you willing to spend on your pet?...if I don't love my dog won't be taking her to diferent vets.you cld estimate how much treatment for 1wk wld cost multiply by 4wks.I doubt if you wld go that lenght.my point is they failed me even as I went to them.some pple prefer going to church than going to the hospital.So you do wht works for you

I get your point, the question is ....are they vets or people posing as vets, we have chemists shops and drugs shops in the market where you see people that will prescribe for you can you compare them with hospital . Pls make sur you get a good vet or better still visit a vet clinic

Didn't want to coment at 1st.but reading the attack on the guy that vacinates his dog i had to...the vet doctors were not born doctors.they learnt taking care of dogs.so a dog lover can learn the basic things like vacination...my rottweiler then puppy got so sick that she eats and throwup imediately she manage to..took her to my vet for 1wk,everyday she was bn injected but no sign of getting better.Then I went to another vet, dsame thing.went to another dsame thing .and another dsame thing.making it 4 different doctors.al these hapend within 1month.each doctor taking up to a wk...on my way from the last vet, I stopped @ a vet shop to get feed for her.there a dog lover saw her and asked what's wrong with her because she was adorable.after I narated the story, then he said animal systems are just like that of humans..thesame illment thesame drugs,just the dose diference...so he said I shld use tetracycline.which I retired to using 1 capsule morning and 1 evening.in a 3dys my dog was good to go...I traced the guy to say thank you.since then he has been the person taking care of my dog..So my conclusion is if you can vacinate your dog go on..trained doc still operate on humans and they die

why not leave visiting the hospital anytime you or any family member is sick, try look for a friend that has same Idea. you saying this because you still see them as animals, besides we are talking of injecting, maybe you should learn and do like your friend
