bro what was the price difference, I want to come to kharkiv MideKabella: I just arrived at Kharkiv Ukraine on Thursday, though my plane ticket ended in Kiev Ukraine. So I was picked up at Kiev Airport by my school representative and a friend. We then took a 6 hours night bus to Kharkiv (Flight from Nigeria to Kharkiv Ukraine was too expensive when I wanted to book my flight last month, that’s why I opted for this ). When asked for our vaccination card at the Immigration we told told them we only have our PCR test result and we are students,so they allowed us in (I and one other guy who is a Nigerian). |

GeneralDae: Go online and google business visa. From my little experience, it is quiet strange to use a business visa in search for jobs. Business visa as the name implies is usually given to those who already have a legit business to do in the country (or finance for a legit business). But in your case you said you are going there on a business visa to search for jobs. This is why it's confusing. How well do you know your agent? why did he not use work visa or even tourist visa, something smells fishy |

PoliteActivist: Forget all they've been saying, focus on these:
1) GET TO THE AIRPORT ON TIME!!! I mean like 4 to 5 hours before flight. Once you do this you become the boss. They can't use their usual trick of u may miss flight. Believe it or not, most people do things at last minute.
2) Have some small naira on you or be able to go and withdraw some. If you are at the airport on time there is no problem a little "gift" can't solve. Don't see airport as where you'd solve Nigeria's corruption problem. Those people have to eat too!
3) Once you are at airport on time, don't just sit in one corner. Talk to fellow travelers, they'd tell you how best to navigate, especially veteran travellers. Even talk to airport workers, but be careful.
4) Try and be among first to weigh your bags and do check-in so if there are problems you'd have ample time to resolve it.
5) Be clear about your departure gate. Once checked in, go and sit there. Other people taking same flight will also be sitting there. In case there are changes you don't know about, their movements will alert you.
6) Know things like what's not allowed on international flights, amount of fluids you can carry, food, etc. No sense bringing something and they throw it out at boarding.
7) If you have a stop-over, make sure you know the requirements of the stop-over country. Also, know if your airline offers stop-over meal vouchers or other accommodations - some airlines won't automatically tell you.
(8. Airlines and airplanes are different types. If you not sure about anything, politely ask. Don't pretend to know it all.
9) BE ON TIME!!! Most people are kept busy by final arrangements at home, or delayed by traffic, and make it to the airport under time pressure - and become food for airport hustlers! this is the most useful comment I've read on this thread |

Stay and fight for your country. The country you are running to, people fought for it to be what it is today if I give you visa now, u go stay? Make I come fight then police go shoot me for protesting. Then fellow Nigerians will critize me instead of government. This country Neva get sence. Its not worth fighting for. I once have that agenda of URS but it's lost from my brain after 2020 October 20th incident at lekki toll gate. |

Megabig: I’ll love others to advice you on other things, my only advice is that you shouldn’t allow anything make you miss your flight, arrive at the airport early and do your check-ins because even if everything needed is presented, Nigerian corrupt officials will certainly find something to do annoy you. For a first time traveller, please have some change(cash), don’t argue, just tip them and go your way. Welcome to the new dispensation Bro you are correct. I don't why some of us are too stubborn to tip a little token. I'm not supporting the officers but we know how the country is hard, they will Bleep you up if you don't tip them. Bro can you advise the smallest amount to tip them because I will travelling soon |

Let me tell you guys something. I'm in Nigeria and I for f*ck ske I hate this country. But what OP is saying is right. Watch documentaries of Nigerians in diaspora, majority of them are suffering. I know we all wanna leave. Me too I just Wana Bleep out of here. But like op said don't go from fry pan to fire. If Mr. A travels from Nigeria to Niger permanently we will all agree that he travelled from fry pan to fire. But if someone travelled from Nigeria to Ecuador no one will accept the same fact but this countries are poor. Ghana is far better than them. It's just the fact we don't know much about them. That's why we need to research Peru is still a developing country but it's better than Nigeria in terms of studying. But Peru is bad in terms of business for foreigners. |
