PoliticsNigeria! The Country Of The Blind by udeadams(op): 9:25am On Oct 01, 2020
Nigeria! The country of the blind
The country where everybody is blind.
The country where the leaders are blind.
The blind leaders think they can see everything because of the foreign eyes they borrowed.
The country where the blind citizens celebrate their blindness and praise their blind leaders.
The country where the citizens have been made to think they are naturally blind because they are Nigerians, and they now depend on the directions and instructions of the so called elites.
Today, the blind people of the blind country are celebrating their blindness and they call it ‘Independence Day’. Independence ko, independence ni.
Why should these people celebrate their blindness?
Those who claimed to see with a foreign eye deceived them about their identity, their eyes were forcefully taken away from them and they are out there celebrating their blindness.
The blind people of the blind country, it is time for you demand for the restoration of your eyes so that you can see the right thing in the correct way. Stand up for #RevolutionNow.

EducationTeachers In Private School Lament Over Hardship, Government Neglects by udeadams(op): 6:52pm On Jul 14, 2020
Teachers in private schools lament over hardship, govt neglect
By Benjamin Jimmy
Teachers in private schools across the country have lamented over the way governments at all levels have failed to include them as an important segment of the society in the distribution of palliatives which came as a relief to cushion the hardship most Nigerians are facing as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
This seeming neglect, according to them, has worsened their living conditions, forcing most of them to resort to doing menial jobs of negligible payments for survival, while others are in a pitiable phase of life.
The teachers, under the aegis of National Association of Private Schools Teachers, NAPRIST, on Monday, staged a peaceful demonstration, carrying placards with inscriptions such as “ Private Schools Teachers need government attention, Private Schools Teachers are not happy, government should look into the welfare of Private Schools Teachers”, among others.
Speaking to our journalist in front of Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat during the demonstration, the leader and the initiator of the vanguard here in the state, Comrade Udemeobong Adams, said the protest became imperative owing to the hardship all the teachers in private schools in Nigeria have been subjected to, in the past four months.
He said it was sad to note that these important individuals who contribute to the making of the future of the country through their sacrificial services and their efforts in moulding children of the rich, especially, have become victims of government inconsideration in all the palliatives given so far which, he observed, could have gone along way in ameliorating their plights if they were included in any distribution.
Adams argued that it was unfair for government to feign insensitive to the life of difficulty that they are going through, wondering why government would always be interested in their taxes, but adamant to their sufferings.
“ For the past three to four months, private schools teachers have been suffering, and we all live in the same economic environment. Almost all the private schools across the country have not been able to pay their teachers. I'm not saying the schools are owning them, but the fact is that the teachers are jobless.
“ We are tax payers like our colleagues in the public schools. Many of us have families and children. How do we cater for them when nothing has come to us? We are calling on the governments at all levels to assist us.
“ Some weeks ago, we heard that palliatives were given to some people in the country. Also, over 1.5 billion was given to the NDDC staff as palliatives, Just last week. I thought palliatives were suppose to be given to people who are not receiving anything like salary”, Adams queried.
The initiator of the movement told our news medium that the association has come to stay and that modalities are already in place to legalise it, disclosing that teachers in private schools require an umbrella body that will not only speak for them, but also champion their course for a fair deal.
Mr. Akaninyene Akwaowo, one of the demonstrators who fielded questions from our reporter, said the cardinal aim of the demonstration was to register the plight of the teachers in private schools who have been neglected by the governments in the distribution of the nation's commonwealth.
He said the conditions of his colleagues have grown into a serious state of unbearableness as the days progress, a situation he believed the demonstration became inevitable.
“ The essence of this movement is to ensure that we get our plight across to the government and every other well meaning Nigerian that can offer us support. At this particular period of time, we are really suffering. Could you imagine that for the past three months, we have not had anything come in.
“ Our colleagues in the public schools, though they are not walking presently, do have something from the government every month. So, if the government can look into our condition, we will really appreciate it. We need something. We need support. Looking at it, we are the ones who cater for children of these rich people. So, we expect them to do something and still keep us in good shape”, Mr. Akwaowo appealed.
The Nigerian Pulse Newspaper gathered that the federal government, in a swift response to the plight of the teachers, has begun putting up a modality to ease off their sufferings.
It would be recalled that few days into the protest, the social media were inundated with a notice which began by setting an agenda for the fledging association and making a genuine case for all the teachers in private schools across Nigeria.

National Association Of Private Schools Teachers Proposed Protest On Monday

Following the notice of the proposed nationwide protest by the National Association of Private Schools Teacher issued on Thursday July 9, 2020, the self acclaimed association national chairman has called on all the private schools teachers to come out en masse in all the states of the federation for the protest.

Due to the indefinite closure of schools as a result of the covid19 pandemic, many private schools have not been able to pay their workers salaries for the last three months. This has triggered some of them to call on the government for help. They claimed the have been abandoned by the government.

EducationRe: Osun Begins ‘School-On-Air’ For Primary, Secondary School Students by udeadams(m): 7:43am On Apr 14, 2020
This is a welcome development, but has the government made provisions for students on how to have access to radio and television? There is no electricity supply, many of the parents cannot afford to buy fuel to power their generator at this trying time, many don't have generator. The school-on-air of a thing cannot be effective in this country.
PoliticsRe: Are There Any Economic Implications Of Sharing Money To Nigerians This Period? by udeadams(m): 7:49am On Apr 13, 2020
If we say the sharing of money in Nigeria during this covid 19 period will lead to inflation. Well, I agree with you but we have to look at the extend at which the said token will help in sustaining the lives of Nigerians. Inflation has already set in as a result of the lockdown. Now that there is no money in the hands of people to buy food, has that lead to the decrease in the general prices of goods and services Or has that lead to increase in the value of naira? The reality is that people are hungry and if money is shared to people it will reduce the level of crime in our country.
