The person above -is just sentimental and not factual--if somebody came in and he doesnt understand how things work in a certain area of responsibilityand he started by promising what he would do and when he actually assume the position instead of facing his responsibility,he resorted to blaming and instead of being focus and working hards and looking for people that have ideas of making thing work--he continue to blame the person that was in the seat--I think such a person cannot do well
Let me remind him -that under jonathan-Minimum wage was increase to 18k from 7k, there was employment revolution both in johnathan and Obj era-----coppers allowances was also increase----there was hope in nigeria as a country,,Nigerians were able to afford cars, housing easily,Nobody was complaining of food,,BokoHaram did not kill our armies like what is happening today,,Nigerian were a bit honest compare to how nigerian are behaving today[[To be relevant-you must lie because the Government of the day are expert on lies in order to convince nigerian to still be sympathetic with them---Today,tokumbo cars of say 2005 is going at 4.5million naira as against 1.8million--, all the cars assembly plant that were indicating interest in the country are no where to be found---you can run a country with try and error policies---look at a naira to a dollar,Look at power,,look at fuel price,,look at the coperation nigerians are given to this government--Fuel and light bills were almost 100% increase and there was no strike action that follows it. in OBJ and johnatan era--there was always a reaction from the citizen in any wrong government policies--During OBJ time, oil price in a record low and that was the real militan era,,During johnathan time,,Boko haram were sponsored ,strike were sponsored,,He was opposed by all the people in government today--some that were working with him were even working against him,,Governors were taking the federal government to court over extra crude account--they wanted all to be shared--those governors today are ministers in the present government and they dont know that nemesis is catching on them--Please stop looking for sympathy--see the truth and speak it out, nobody is hating Buhary but he is not matching words with his actions as he promise during his campaign time.
KingOfAmebo:

You are perfect example of an educated fool...did you just asked this stupid question:

"with all the data that you claimed was achieved under GEJ, did it make YOUR life better under your hero of corruption?"

Even a fool and a bigot knows life was far better during Jonathan's era...you must be reta.rded to say life is much better under Buhari than as it was during Jonathan...abeg no let me swear for your destiny.

The reason Nigeria is in such a great mess is because educated fools like you voted for a gworo chewing kunu sipping illiterate daura bastard.

Your map does not include--1050Mw Alorji,720mw Odukpani,320Mw Egbema and Gbaran 340Mw--all fully operational but not yet connected to the Grid.

You really need to get more information on what's going on around you.

So you aren't aware of the law that says any independent power project output must be fed into the national grid.

Its one of the dumb laws from the FG that has discouraged independent power projects.

The guy there does not understand that so many policies prevent things from working in this country--i think he should go back and do a research before he comment on national issues like this--is not everything he should comment.
It was the immediate past administration that even soft pedal on this grid issue--but still all the state that built their power plant could not operates it effectively as their power first go on the grid before it would be ration part to the area of operation--being that the facility of transmitting is own and control by the federal government--eg of the state are Akwa Ibom State and RiVer state--Though River state have sold its own power plant.
I dont know whether you know that in same Akwa Ibom state lies unused 540 MW of power-where the federal government or power minister is still behaving as if he does not know that facility exist--i am talking about ALCON smelting company Power Plant.

Senator Akpabio make a presentation in the senate last August--begging the federal government to evaquate the 540Mw power from aAlscon to the grid or equally give the state the licence to operate that power plant as the company is no more functioning[Productive].

Hello, get this right--there is an intermediary between the disco's and the Gencos--They are call''NBET''. which is the Government representaive--they are the ones who should mediates between the two--the transaction between Genco's and Disco's is carried out by NBET--THE QUESTION IS''Do they remits all the amount they got from the disco's to the Genco's--Again what is the allocation of Gas supply to the Gencos by the federal government. The Genco's continue generating power using their money to buy gas at $2.5[ per cf] but the government representative ;NBET'' ARE owing them -and when they want to pay, they would only pay a small percentage of the total invoice that covers the entire transaction.e author=jpphilips post=53668888]

Won't be long before the Gencos will be financially crippled then the Discos will buy them over, that is the end game, damn!! took me long to figure it out, most gas suppliers ain't happy with the Gencos cos they are owed big time, how can the Gencos pay the gas suppliers when the Discos are screwing things up? fashola is a disgrace & a nematode all in one pack!![/quote]

Despite the Economy being in recession it still had a massive IGR... Nigeria as a whole needs to learn a few things from lagos.

Ogun's IGR is quite impressive...

I was hoping to see Kebbi's IGR but it wasnt recorded.. I am pretty sure kebbi isn't doing badly in terms of Revenue Generation...

Watch out for Kebbi cuz that state is about to "shock" the rest of Nigeria!!!
What do you mean--Are you living in lagos--Do't you understand that all the nation functioning port are in lagos--,all the oil companies with high level managers and director that has no operation in lagos are paying their tax to lagos state government,,Hotels, banks and and other servicing companies operates their head offices in lagos--a practice that is denying the host state of such companies their revenue source---That is why nigeria would continue to remains this way and make some comunities hostiles because this is daytime rubbery.

The only problem I will have with this exercise is, if after the rehabilitation and upgrade, the Abuja Airport does not make headlines as one of the best in Africa.
Hello Be inform--there is no upgrade in abuja airport---What the saint wants to do is to repair a section of the run way that has cracked finished...

The remodelling you see in that airport included the new terminal was done by Stella Oduah during the last administration---Nigerians pls try and travel to Abuja to see things by yourself--so that when they wants to blame the previous government you can agree or disagree with them.
The new terminal has a train line that comes from the main road and terminated inside one of the Gates--this was done two years ago.
Again -what they want to do is repair of the existing run ways that cracked---which can be done while the VIP side and the domestic airport can be use tentatively--My surprise is the amount they want to use in repairing this run ways---Stop supporting wrong action of this government.

Meeeehn. Just keep quiet already, as if Jonathan helped to end BH in Nigeria than Buhari did.
Will you stop mentioning Jonathan--Don't you see the number of Death in this evil administration is uncontrolled--Nigeria as a nation has not witness the degree of insecurity as its seen presently--From BokoHaram,Bomb Blast, suicide, children killing parent, security guard killing their masters, fulani herdsmen, cattle rearers, what of the ones from police and other military personnel,Kidnapping and of course hunger and frustration everywhere in nigeria--All this as a result of taking over power by all means and promising what they cannot fulfil.
Are you noticing that student have abandoned their studies and are going into diverse vices just make ends meet---what has jonathan to do in what is happening present in nigeria--have they not promised three millions jobs in first quarter of 2016,--have you not seen their children having fun in private jets after they've secured them jobs in CBN,and other lucrative agencies--you are buying fuel at a higher price than before and they say money is save but nothing is seen affecting the citizen--don't you ask yourself which way is nigeria going--everything is on the increase but there is no increase in salary of civil servants---don't you know the last increase in salary was done during that same jonathan government--don't you know that most Power plant that you are hearing about were built during his government. How long would you continue to be blind and continue suffering in silence.

Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Returns As Landing Cost Hits N145 by udees: 10:03am On Jan 15, 2017
davodyguy:
There's nothing wrong in what's happening.

Let me quickly clarify before dumbass analyst start talking nonsense.

Where we were

Sometime in December, 2015 the price of crude oil per barrel dropped to about $32 and the exchange rate then was less than N300 to 1$. At that time, the government. Marketers were making profit, without subsidy being paid.

2016 first quarter

By mid January, the price of crude oil started rising, and that was the time CBN started their failed policy on exchange rate. What happened then was that as the crude oil price increased, exchange rate to dollar also increased. This made landing cost of refined products to go up. You would recall that we experienced scarcity till May, 2016 when subsidy was finally removed. Why? Cos product was sold. (PMS) at N87 per litre and the differential was paid to marketers as subsidy.

May, 2016

Subsidy was removed. Exchange rate is now over 300 naira to a dollar. Hence we started buying PMS per litre at N145.

NOV, 2016

International price of crude oil rose to $50 per barrel and exchange rate is over N400. The landing cost would automatically increase. But since PMS price is still being regulated and pegged, no marketer would import a product at N145 per litre and still sell below cost price.

JAN, 2017

In order to avoid two things

1) Fuel Scarcity
2) Increased PMS price

NNPC is now importing 90%. of daily consumption of PMS so that Nigerians would not suffer.

So I wonder how some dunce will insult NNPC, when they're actually saving you.

The only solution now is for CBN to do something about the exchange rate and things would be back to normal.

Price not per barrel is about $53-54 and exchange rate is over N400 naira.

Price may remain $54 or even go higher as we pray and hope for. CBN must do something about the exchange rate and allow drop back to 300 or below. If this is done, things would balance up
You have not said anything yet----Go ahead and explain your point---to the Marines----
Where you not in this country where this government made a statement that --when the price of crude was 75 dollars--the then government should and must reduced the price of fuel to between 42 and 50 Naira per a litre---Don't you understand that those guys there are not having any idea of how a country should be run--instead they are using your brain-what they are doing is to continue to condemn past administration but they don't have an idea of governance--this is the first time in this country that all the people that use to write letters,,people that use to occuppy nigeria, are showing they were not real---What are you explaining.

Why are you perpetually bitter and frustrated?

Get it in your skull, this govt is very serious about reviving our moribund industries and has proved it with many actions.

E.g, Abuja Airport, many major federal roads such as East-West road, 2nd Niger Bridge, new fighter jets for the NA, just to mention a few.
What do you know about Abuja Airport--it is not a project--The airport project was design, contracted and built by the immediate past administration--the company is CCEC--with a rail line connecting the new terminal--Take your money and trave to Abuja and find out about the airport before you mis-inform the public
What the minister of state for Aviation is doing is to re-surface the run ways that has a crack-the question is at how much.
Don't try to praise somebody on a project you don't have an idea of--they are not building abuja airport--go to abuja and see it by yourself before you sing this wrong praises.
