nihinlade:Would you mind putting up some of your works. So we can truely know if the 'Webdesign at its best' is a fact |
nyabingi:First of all let me say you contracted the wrong person. Secondly i would like to take you up on the offer but i haven't got time to do the one on one tutorial. However i'd advise you take up online tutorials. Start from the scratch basic html. I bootstrapped all the way through & with hard work you can do the same |
Sure. Would like to see it when its done. |
teewhye:My favorite is the timeline-mw.com. However i noticed on the timeline-mw.com that the text/content were all images. I need not tell you that google does not recognize your content. Try 'googling' the site and only the name comes out with no description on what the site is about, its really poor SEO. I also noticed that 'all' your sites rely heavily based on flash. Flash is a dying technology and won't be around for too long. Abobe(Flash technology makers) about two weeks ago announced that they were pulling the plug on mobile flash, i can bet that PC is next. HTML5 is the future. I hope you get on the bandwagon soon. ![]() |

Its really sad the level our government has condescended to. What have they done to deserve those award, they don't make positive music to say the least. Probably that is the reward they get for campaigning for GEJ. I smh for this country. Who's getting the award next Cossy Orjiakor? |
Course children are justified, just cause of some bad eggs doesn't mean we should think of them as bad. Remember we were once children |
Well true that its not just broke people that do it. I can attest to seeing rich people do it. maybe its the FREE psyche thing, everyone loves free |
What kind of sentiments. Its only broke a** people that struggle for souvenir at occasions. Its as simple as class |
People buy second handed stuff cause of many reasons 1. They can't afford the new ones 2. The can't find original new ones. |
hi dear |
femmy2010:Government opening abortion clinics? Well we might as well put up a banner saying "Hey teens go Bleep yourselves, don't bother using protection cause when you get pregnant, we have trained people that will remove the baby as soon as you want to, ZERO RISK, GUARANTEED RESULT" i can also imagine the tagline of such clinic to be ", finally its safe". , Mcsheew Igosun:Yes i believe so, it is a mother that is alive that can take care of the children she already has and/or have more children |
Well i know of this case where the baby was forming in the wrong tube in the mothers belly. So the baby was removed to save the life of the mother. I believe this case is justified. |
Seized a truck load, i just dey laugh. How come the picture shows the truck not the ammunitions?? |

Having seen the replies following my comment, i don't know if the replies are directed at me or the author of this topic. If they are at me, then i take it that it is because of 2 possible reasons 1. My post was not read properly 2. My post was not understood. I'd take the former to be the most likely. See in my post i didn't say it was a good thing for "green and white" websites thus resulting in me suggesting another/correct way (domain) of proving a websites' proudly Nigerian status. The use of green, white could be cause of some reasons, i mean the if a site owner tells you the designer that he/she wants a green white green site, u'll be damned if you don't produce one. As a professional web designer, it is your job to try and dissuade them from that choice and of course this depends on the kind of website they want. But that is as far as it goes for the web designer "try and dissuade" , the ultimate power lies in the hands of the site owner. Colour in designs of Nigerian sites should be the least of our wories, The major problem in the industry is lack of professionalism, i mean every person who owns a laptop can lay claim to beign a "website designer". Then they get a job (which they'll charge a paltry sum thus making the professionals look bad) google up a template and use it for the job. They are so lazy/incompetent that they don't take time to even remove the "LOREM IPSUM DOLOR" put in the template by the original designer. This trend is what we should be woried about not some green white green site. How many Nigerian green white green sites do you know? They are so little that they can go on the web un-noticed among the over 1million Nigerian websites. So green white green website syndrome (lol) CANNOT be considered a trend in the Nigerian "webmosphere". |

the basic reason why people "web designers" use the green and white colors on Nigerian websites is simply because they want visitors to i dentify that the site is Nigerian. However we don't need the national color to be on every Nigerian site, what we need is to enable our own country based domains .com.ng on our websites. Then, visitors and the whole internet can identify that this site is truely Nigerian, |
@all4naija have u seen My Name is Khan, New York, Pyaar Impossible, Crook, All these movies have over 7.0 rating on IMDB (if u really are a movie person u'd understand the meaning) *no disrespect intended* so u can't possibly say Bollywood movies suck, don't forget Slumdog Millioniare is a Bollywood movie. Nollywood movies suck totally except for a few , The Figurine, Ije and co, those movies literally transended the sorry state movie industry called Nollywood |
Definitely american. Come to think of it can you imagine a Nigerian Transformer movie? |

I hate it when i see the templates people claiming to be webmaster kings use. I understand using a template for your personal site, but not a professional site that someone paid you money to do. You should at least they should get value for their money. Below are some of the sites i've worked on http://www.mcsconsultingltd.com http://www.zedeclock.com http://www.bellris.com My unique selling point is my ability to understand and transform a clients' idea into a working website. Its just unfortunate that there are a lot of fake a** people claiming to be professional webdesigners, putting up ads at ridiculous prices. Making hard for the real people to do their jobs. that is why you have a site like nigeria.gov.ng exist. |

Hey checkout www.oversabi.com |
I like ticfilmschool.com look and feel but then the site was designed using tables. The designer should know that the site is not portable. Ie cannot port to a mobile device (neatly). Thanks to the advancement of mobile technology, however websites of today are largely based on two things XHTML and CSS, tables are so 2003 |
