I Nearly Ran Mad": Young Man Who Bent Down in Lagos Marketplace Narrates Scary Things He Saw that Day A young Nigerian man has opened up about his encounter after bending down in a Lagos marketplace Before that fateful day, he had tried to bend down in the market to find out if he would see beyond the normal but was disappointed On his third attempt, he said he nearly ran mad after seeing a very black creature, living things without legs and some that had two heads Unlock the best of Legit.ng on Pinterest! Subscribe now and get your daily inspiration! A Nigerian man, identified as Umuefe Godswill Oluwaseun James, has shared his encounter in a Lagos marketplace to solidify claims that not everyone in the market is human. In a Twitter thread, the gospel pop rapper said he saw things for himself after bending down in a market in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos in 2016. Nigerian man, Lagos marketplace, ghost story, bent down Godswill said he saw a very black creature. Before the 2016 encounter, Godswill said he first tried bending down in the market in JSS 2 after his classmate told tales of strange creatures in the marketplace. He said he saw nothing. When the discussion came up again in senior secondary school, Godswill said he tried it again in the market but was disappointed. His curiosity got the better of him in 2016, despite market women and bus drivers warning him against it. Godswill's encounter with strange creatures According to Godswill, everywhere became quiet when he bent down, after pretending to drop his keys. First, the young man said he saw a very black creature that had a snake-like body crawling towards him. He quickly raised up his head out of fear but that was just the beginning of more scary things to come. When he raised up his head, Godswill said he found out that everyone around him weren't human. Godswill noted that some people sold their wares to creatures with no legs, he said some had two heads and others were white in colour. Godswill said he regained consciousness of his immediate environment after someone tapped him. He revealed that the encounter was the start of his sleep paralysis problem. It made him almost go bananas. In his words: "Some were naked and some were on long attire that you can’t see their hands and legs. "Some were white in color while some looks like animals with different body!! "Yooo I nearly ran mad cuz I was filled with fear of the whole visual.. "It’s more like this happened within mins." Godswill said the encounter impacted him positively and negatively When Legit.ng asked the Delta indigene the impact of that encounter, the CEO of Orion Incorporation said it had positive and negative effects on him. He said: "Because, after it, I had measles and I was told that spiritually I’ve been attacked. I had to do 3 days deliverance while I slept in church to do so. All thanks to God for his mercy and all thanks to my mum who is a prophet. "Sometimes I feel uncomfortable and whenever I feel that way, I just head to my mum’s private altar in her room then either say few prayers or listen to gospel songs to distract my feelings. "The experience changed my life positively and negatively. The positivity of spirits exists, angels exists and demons exists. The repercussions that one may face is the negativity aspect of it." He added that his curiosity got the better of him. "Just imagine I am not close to any spiritual person. Maybe I won’t be here today." This pastor was always praying and asking God to open his eyes to see things. "The very day God opened his eyes was when this pastor went to Odoguyan market… according to people, the man fell and died. Omo eh." @abubakar_ajayi said: "Bro, I spent my childhood (till 13yrs) at Iyana Ipaja, Aboru, around this Akinola bus stop. I always hear about this story of Rats, going to the market as human being, this same Iyana Ipaja market to be precise, and they turn back to Rats when getting back to their hidden place." Woman finds out she had been living with a ghost Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a mother of three had found out her lover died years ago. The young woman had been living together with the young man and even had three children with him. However, she finally became interested in knowing his family members. After dribbling her for a while, the man finally left a note for her containing his address. She travelled down to his village and found out that he had died two years before she gave birth to their first child.

You suffered ‘technical glitch’ in your own case – Kenneth Okonkwo mocks INEC. A chieftain of the Labour Party, LP, Kenneth Okonkwo has hit the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, saying the commission suffered a ‘technical glitch’ in its own case. Okonkwo stated this in a post via his Twitter handle on Monday. The Labour Party chieftain said INEC failed to begin its defence at the presidential election petition tribunal on Monday. Okonkwo claimed the electoral commission might have had a ”technical glitch”, leading to the absence of its witnesses. Recall that INEC started its defence of the February 25 presidential election on a shaky note, with its witnesses absent at the Court on Monday. The commission’s lead counsel, Abubakar Balarabe Mahmood, SAN, had informed the court of his plan to call three witnesses to counter LP’s allegations and its Presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi. However, he lamented that none of the witnesses was in court for domestic reasons, pleading with the court to bear with him while applying for an adjournment of his defence. The court later adjourned to July 4 for the continuation of the hearing. However, Okonkwo said INEC’s inability to open its defence amounted to a waste of fuel, which he accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, government of raising beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians. Okonkwo stated, ”Today (sic) was slated for INEC to open their case at the Presidential Election Petition Court. Not surprisingly, they failed to produce any witness, claiming their witness disappointed them. Must INEC continue to have a “technical glitch” even in their own case? “What a waste of fuel, which this APC government has raised beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians like us. The petition is adjourned to tomorrow, July 4 2023, for the continuation of the hearing.”

INEC not ready to defend its case at Election Tribunal – LP’s lawyer Uzoukwu Labour Party (LP), Levi Uzoukwu Lawyer to the Labour Party (LP), Levi Uzoukwu said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are not prepared to defend its case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. Uzoukwu stated this while speaking to newsmen just outside the court on Monday, shortly after the court adjourned its resumed sitting, following the absence of INEC’s first defence witness. The LP lawyer said his camp has a strong case and are ready to move on with their case, unlike the INEC that has continued to show inconsistencies. Uzoukwu said, “Given the contradictions and inconsistencies and what INEC has done; I’m sure they are not read to defend this case. “I stand to be proven wrong, but I would wish that they defend this matter so that the public will see more things of what happened to this election.” The legal counsel stressed that it is the INEC’s choice to either call a witness or witnesses, adding that he and his client the LP, are ready at all times

‘We’re Being Used To Cook, Sweep And Wash Clothes In Our Bosses’ Apartments’ – Female Nigerian Immigration Operatives Kick Against Being Used For Domestic Work Some aggrieved personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Ekiti State have accused the authorities of maltreatment. According to some of them, they have been turned into domestic workers by top officials of the command. They added that they have not been paid their allowances for the 2023 general elections. “The election duty allowances, it was just a few people that were in all the states. Most of us female officials were asked to write our details down and it has been sent to the headquarters since but we have not heard anything, so definitely they aren’t ready to pay the rest. “Secondly, there is this annoying thing happening here in Ekiti command, for some of us female officers working at the comptroller and other top officials’ homes. “Guard duty implies securing the premises but for years now, the female officers’ duties have turned to house help work. We now cook, sweep and wash those ‘oga’ (bosses’) clothes. “This rubbish has been going on for years now. It started when the last comptroller was here but the key officers at the command who were supposed to talk and change the system didn’t do anything about it probably because they also collect from the budget meant for housemaids and domestic workers. “Ideally, there is a special allowance for cooks, cleaners and others that are meant to be employed by the command but they now prefer using female officers and the headquarters isn’t aware of this,” one of the aggrieved female personnel told SaharaReporters. They further called on Wura-Ola Caroline Adepoju, the first female acting comptroller-general for the NIS to intervene and sanction top officials of the command involved in the abuse.
