Christianity EtcRe: Should A Christian Hotelier Allow Unmarried Couples To Lodge In A Room? by udoh2k: 9:54pm On Nov 25, 2012
My brother, this is a very sincere question with very difficult answer. Hotels are necessary evil. Many pastors travel out of their state or country to preach the word without having any house in that town. They have to sleep in hotel. Sometimes, i reasoned if the beds/mattress they are allotted have not been used for sexual immorality. I know a christian brother (who belongs to a holy church) who manages a hotel where nite clubs take place every weekend. When i was in search for job, i rejected all hotel jobs because of my conviction (then) but my former pastor once worked in a Hotel as Auditor...i guest he audited the beers, (immoral)rooms as well. As i said. It is a difficult question.
BusinessRe: How To Make Extra Income From Cashlite Policy. by udoh2k:
My friend, the solution is mobile money. You can be an agent or sub-agent of etransact pocketmoni.

Your can become a mini-bank or mobile bank in your area.
You help people to deposit money to any bank and collect commission
you help people to pay DSTV, MYTV, HITV, PHCN BILLS and collect commission.
you sell recharge card using mobile money and get 10% as profit
you sell etranzact ATM card for people and make something on it.
you conduct seminar to educate people on mobile money and collect a fee.
you help people load their mobile money account and collect commission

Once, you are on you will depopulate the banks. People you educate can learn to do some of this banking activities from their phone.

visit the tutorial i have written on this at www.fecundsystems.com/mobilemoney and register

The true financial inclusion is mobile money not the inclusion of voter's card as identity.

BusinessRe: When Did GT Bank Launch Mobile Money Service (GTB Mobilemoney)'s APPLICATION? by udoh2k: 6:19pm On Jun 02, 2012
The fact remains that GTbank is one of the final 11 given approval by CBN to roll out mobile money services. So it is not news. GTBank seems to be sleeping, while MTN is taking the hedge off them. Neither MTN nor any other telcos was given license to do MM. MTN now partners GTbank and Fortis Mobile Money. Although Fortis seems to have its own platform/application (Fundamo) but GT Bank seems to depend solely on MTN platform/application. I learnt that all the licensed providers will need to recruit 50,000 agents or so. At least Fortis is making a little effort, but GTB seems to be sleeping as i earlier said. MTN recently advertise for recruitment of SUPER AGENTS-- companies that will serve as 'AGENT to agents'.

Some other firms/banks that did not fall within the final 11 given operational license, but that got 'approval-in-principle' earlier, are still struggle to see if CBN will have a re-consideration.

Let's keep our fingers cross and wait for when they will finally take it to the streets (away from boardrooms, conference halls or TV shows).
BusinessRe: Mobile Money Business Opportunities: Lets Discuss by udoh2k:
There is difference between Mobile Money and Mobile Banking as far as Nigeria's definition is concerned even though wikipedia sees both as being same. In Mobile Banking, you must have already had an account with a Bank; you are using your phone to access your bank account. So Intercontinental (now access),FIRST bank etc are providing mobile-banking and not mobile-money services. In mobile money, you don't have a bank account; infact, it is your phone number (080xxxxxxx) that is your account number and your handset is your bank! Mobile Money is targetted at the unbanked--people without access to banks either because of distance or illiteracy or requirement to open an account. I am not aware if Access bank, First Bank has been licenced by CBN for Mobile Money services. In mobile Money, you don't need to send money to someone's bank/account (since they are unbanked}, you send money directly from you phone to the person's phone (and the person may cash it from agent, or use the phone-money to buy things)

The web application is under construction, and all features will work soonest with your support. The site is http://www.nigerianpidginbible.org. Below is the intro:

The Nigerian Pidgin Bible (NPB) Project is an effort to translate the Holy Bible into Nigerian Pidgin.

Unlike other Bible translation projects where an individual or restricted team embarked on the exercise, the NPB Project is designed to be open. Any interested Nigerian Christian who understands and speaks Pidgin English can register/log-in and translate a verse or two. Alternative translations (Pidgin2, Pidgin3) may be added if you feel otherwise about the first translation (Pidgin1); or you may just vote for an existing translation. The translation (Pidgin1, Pidgin2 or Pidgin3) with the highest votes will be extracted at the end of the Project.

Long Term Goal: The ultimate goal of the Project upon completion is to produce/publish a "Nigerian Pidgin Bible [NPB]-- By Nigerians for Nigerians", that people can read and understand (as it were) in their own language.

Short Term Goal: The immediate spiritual benefit of the NPB Project is to create/awaken the desire/interests of Nigerians to Bible-reading with a view to understanding the Bible verse-by-verse as they try to translate it,

It is hoped that at the end of this Project, the translators can say they "read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them [others] to understand the reading"-(KJV)Nehemiah 8:8.

So, make we join head translate de Bible for Naija Pidgin.
