The government is contradicting itself. On one hand, the are 'encouraging' technical education. On the other hand they are discrimating against poly graduates in its civil service. It took a long fight to accept HND for entry job on level 8. They still bar HND at 14.

The issue is just of policy. When govt said hnd and bsc can start at GL 08, it came to pass. If govt say HND can proceed to directorate, or it is equivalent to degee, it will come to pass.

There is no evidence that average graduates from uni are more knowledge than their poly counterparts in same field, for e.g. say computer science, elect/elect, even in biz admin or accountancy. The reverse may even be the case.

Some argue that uni curriculum is toward theory, while poly is towards practice. Is that an excuse? What makes theory then superior to practice. Any serious student wether in poly or uni in particular field will still perform.

This is too raw for public teaching /examination. It should be for counselling. How about our young 16 year olds that just entered university. It is not every child that is spoilt. Don't spoil them for us.

Why not fine them, say 50k. 50k is big enough to serve as deterrent. Use it as source of revenue to the fct. Destroying the bikes of the poor is of what benefit to the govt.

Many Christians believe that Jesus was inferring that he was going to build his church on Peter, his disciple.

I don't think so.
Jesus would not predicate the entirety of his divine assignment on another human with frailties. Even when that person would deny him a short while later.
I believe Jesus' statement was that his church would be built on that powerful statement uttered by Peter in the earlier verse:
*Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”*

This makes more sense to me. Many Bible scholars think so too.

The confusion is that Peter means stone. Jesus is the Rock (a bigger Stone). So Jesus may be saying, although you are a stone, but I will build my church on this bigger Stone (Himself). He must have demonstrated with His hands...either pointing at Peter or pointing at Himself (we were not there).

The Word of God is called God. Capital G.
The Spirit of God is called God. Capital G.
And God Himself is called God. Capital G.

And yet only one God.

Meaning the Word of His mouth is a living 'Being'.

The Spirit in Him is a living 'Being'.

This instruction of Paul to Timothy was a "medical advice". It was not a call to drunkenness or consumation of strong drink. Even some present day medicines contain some kind of alcohol ,perhaps responsible for diziness. It's purely medicinal when precribed...outside that...it is drug abuse, self medication.

In the Old Testament, God permitted the Jews to physically fight and destroy those that made themselves enemies of God (only at His command).

I think this bible verse is being misinterpreted alot

Caesar was the leader of the Roman Govt at that time (so he represents govt) .They were to pay tribute money (tax, dues etc) to caesar.

God is God.

Pay govt dues to govt.

Pay God dues (tithe, offering, worship, praise, honour etc) to God.

From the above it's clear something is wrong due to John's use of WAS throughout which means the word worked with God but as he is penning down those words the word isn't God rather the word WAS God at some point in time.
Moses WAS God at a point in time too {Exodus 7:1} therefore if Moses worked with God in delivering Israel out of Egypt and WAS God while in Egypt it doesn't mean that Moses IS God rather he served as God at a point in time.
So the correct interpretation of that verse would be:

In the beginning WAS the word and the word WAS God and the word WAS a god/ divine/ godlike

The use of capital for both God and the one with God makes no practical sense because all other verses afterwards shows that the word is God's messenger.

The Word became flesh (i.e. human but still having divinity ) and dwelt among us.

But as for misinterpretation the opening words of John's gospel account was erroneously mistranslated.

@ verse 18 of the same chapter we read:

"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him"

So is the word GOD or someone beside GOD?

Of course the Word of God is God. His Spirit is God. Both his Word and His Spirit can operate seperately, but same God. That's why he is God...it goes beyond natural understanding.

You can do part time school and still be doing your barbing job + learning other skills at spare times, except you have somebody to sponsor ur school outright .

When it was Ministry of FCT (MFCT) it might have bn direct; just like 'posting' from one federal ministry to another. But when El-Rufai was the Minister of Fct, the 'ministry' was scrapped and it becomes FCT Administration (FCTA)...more like a state structure. So for now, it is the same way you transfer from a state civil service to federal, that you can transfer from FCTA to 'federal'; though FCTA is still federal but has elements and some structures of a state.

So you need to seek and get employment in the federal MDA of ur choice, after which, you can seek to merge or transfer you service from FCTA to the new MDA for purpose of continuity; or seek to Gazette ur appointment with the federal civil service. So I think.

You stay longer when you have a task/job on hand. When you get hook of idea in solving a particular problem, excuse yourself from the laptop and do some other things...bye and bye, an Idea will just strike through ur head.

Although programmers are always glued to their system, but it dependence on what u are doing on the system, not how long. It's best to give urself breaks after a few hours on the system
