Education / Re: How To Know An Intelligent Student By Character by ufumes(m): 7:11pm On Apr 22, 2018
Geofavor:
I disagree.' Smartness,' as you put it, is peculiar to something definite. So, we have several types of smarts. E.g, Messi is the smartest footballer of our time grin. He is football-smart. Furthermore, we have street-smart, business-smart, book-smart, etc.

That market woman you cited can be classed under business-smarts. The school teacher can be academically brilliant, therefore, classed under books-smarts; however, he will still be more intelligent than the market woman. Intelligence is general. It isn't restricted to a specific task.

The school teacher's neurons will fire faster than those of the market woman because of the brain tasking job he does and the more knowledge he has.

In a nutshell, intelligence is composed of several smarts. The more smarts you have, the more intelligent you are.

Relatively. There's no way she can be more intelligent than a primary school teacher who teaches everyday. That market woman can only be market-smart, not intelligent.
nooo! She is market intelligent more than that primary School teacher.

We are all intelligent in different areas. And intelligence in any particular area of life can be acquired by learning, which can be through personal experience, reading books or other educational materials as well as through the help of a teacher.
Religion / Re: Is It A Sacrilege To Name A Child "JESUS"? by ufumes(m): 1:04pm On Apr 22, 2018
Prinztong:
I've been trying to figure it out. I was even arguing with my colleague few days ago on this same issue. Many people bear Emmanuel which still mean Jesus but Naming a Child Jesus seems so Unacceptable in Nigeria.
I'm considering Naming my First son Jesus,My only prayer is that God should Make him a good and God fearing Child and not the one who will tarnish the Image of Jesus Christ.
In Islamic Religion many people answer Mohammed afterall.

Jesus is a special name. It depends on your intention of naming him after Jesus. Do you really want him to live like Christ? To suffer and die innocently at the prime of his youth? Are you ready to do all within your power to make him love God above every other things... Even education, power, money etc... Maybe the second commandment might even be against it... Using the name of the Lord your God in vain..
Politics / Re: Muslim Group Seeks Withdrawal Of 'jonathan's N100 Note' From Circulation by ufumes(m): 7:22pm On Apr 18, 2018
booqee:
But the issue I have with this N100 is that it has the dirtiest, most tattered and torn notes in circulation. I even still got one very tattered one today, that was taped with black celotape! black celotape for crying out loud. Some people are just senseless.

And yet, muric did not see that to address, instead it's some inconsequential Arabic inscriptions. I give up! angry
is it possible that there is a deliberate halt in it's production? Cos the 100 naira note is scarce to come by this days
