the visa cost is typically covered by the student. But this does not mean AGIP won't pay for the visa cost - it just means that you would have to finance the cost of the visa yourself before it will be reimbursed along with upkeep allowance. Because AGIP pays the upkeep allowance only after the visa is out. I believe this is to prevent people from Absconding with almost £15,000 without going for the masters program

Oh..wow. Thanks once again. Last time I checked, UK student visa is almost equivalent to 100grand.You sound so knowledgeable about the Agip scheme at large. It seems you were a beneficiary. Laudable!

How the OSS works is that following the award of the scholarship - the beneficiaries chosen schools will be paid the tuition, after the tuition is paid - the rest of the funds will be transferred to a domiciliary account specified. That can now be used to sort out other things. However the person must provide a valid visa for that to happen (this is to prevent people from absconding once they have been paid their upkeep allowance). As for flight - AGIP themselves will book the flight for OSS awardees and hand them the ticket for the date of their choosing.

Finally - it is not a condition that you must come back upon completion of the program, you can apply for further studies or work or postgraduate visa as necessary. I hope this helps

Called the dragnet office and they kept on saying we would get emails soon..same thing they've been saying for over a month..those guys are just useless

Agip, unlike other companies, send success and regret mails to applicants simultaneously. This has been the trend for the past 4 years with exception of last year when the scholarship wasn't awarded. I advise we patiently wait till mid July, 2021 before been too anxious. And is very important we note that all applicants cannot get success mail. So, while we hope and believe God for the best, we should also have other plans should things not work out. All the very best to u all (including me).

Exactly what I thought of considering schools open in September.. July/August should he time used to tidy the next stage including school fees payment, health check up, visa interviews, flight arrangement et al. If you don't get a call or a mail between this week and next week, Just forget it, they would have already their candidates by then, that's if they don't already have their candidates atm doing all the necessary run around. Considering slot spaces are already tight, candidate's could have already been shortlisted

Nothing yet..Someone said mails usually enters two weeks after the exam date. I am yet to confirm that. However, I called the dragnet hotline and the only thing he said was that we should regularly check our mail...it's two weeks in..yet no news..maybe we'd have to wait till July..I don't know sha
