Sir,wit all due respect there is no fixed amount to be collected by d officers..........Bt its a pity our officers had even colonized d Benin rep officers wit Koruption(my lips sealed). Sir,stamping of passport. For d first timers alwayz difficult and hectic bt person like me na 100naira I dey give dem,coz na regular customer I be(customer daada) You are a sure man then.... N100-N200 is what you should pay for stamp at the Naija side. At Hillakondjo, others pass free (bemonoise and togolese) while Nigerians pay 600CFA for the two parts. I don't know who seme is like that, pay for stamp to leave it enter my country? Rubbish |

Your points hold water in the 1960s and early 1970s That was when Asia and Africa was on the same level.
I agree with that... But from the late 1980s downwards, because if foolish policies and criminal leaders like Mobutu, IBB etc, Africa fell way behind and Asian tigers were far ahead. And from the 1990s, They were not Africa's mate again, simple and short. Saying Nigeria was rubbing shoulders with Them in 1960s is right, but in the 1990s is a fallacy.
I got your point tho |

correctguy0900: Fool. Asia crisis hit korea hard such that in 1997 she relied on aid from the west including Germany US etc. Food from aid donors was distributed to school children because of hunger. Korea embarked on massive economic reforms when President Jung Dai was elected in 1999. However, according to economists, korea economic turn around was such the world never experienced before. The currency to dollar was almost zimbabwean dollar. Up to 52 billion dollars was borrowed from international institutions to help work on the economy. one of my professors here is a Korean. We gist about it sometimes.
Read about it blocked head baboon. Goat Besides the GDP per capita of south Korea in 1999 was $10,432 While that of Nigeria in 1999 was a paltry $299.34. How in the heck can Nigeria in that state have more money, or be in a better shape than South Korea Let's get more specific now. The population of South Korea in 1999 was 46.22 million people and multiplying that by $10,432 you get = $482,167,040,000 as their GDP for 1999. For Nigeria on the other hand, the population in 1999 was 119,800,000 and multiplying that by $299.34 will give you = $35,860,932,000 as the GDP in 1999. So how can Nigeria even have more than South Korea Even when South Korea was in a mess, they had a higher reserve than Nigeria. When you now talk of the stock of wealth in both countries, South Korea as small as it is has, had and will forever have a higher stock of wealth than Nigeria, but educating you is a waste of time because its obvious you don't know anything, and your parents are wasting their money training you. |

So they stripped him of his title, and jailed him.

lawani: You are wrong as there are many models. In the old USSR. regional army divisions were staffed by locals, it was part reason the USSR broke up without incidence. Then in the first republic of Nigeria, the regions controlled their police, they had their IGs. When Biafra was declared, the Yoruba managed to compel the Feds to return all soldiers to their region which they did, the Northerners were stationed in Ilorin, then the Biafrans invaded the West.
So the system we practice now wasnt agreed upon by us and if we return to the old system, the country will breakup within six months without incidence. This isnt a country anymore. So better sit up.
One thing to know is that even in a Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa country, you can't just mix everything together! There will be fights if you do that! You might say why not reorganise Nigeria then? But on what basis? There should be a tangible basis for something. So what do you propose, lemme hear from You |

humilitypays: That's true. Another thing is, Nigeria has no common natural factor uniting us as one nation!
We speak different Languages abi dialects!
We have different cultures and traditions!
We have different religion!
Yorubas will do well on their own as a nation!
Igbos will do well too!
Hausas will do well!
Hausas and Fulanis can co-habit as one nation without much crises because they share similar religion, dialect and culture!
Igbos will live peacefully with Niger Delta (except Edo State; Edo people will live more peacefully with Yorubas than with Igbos)!
Every nation ought to have their one national religion, can Nigeria say they have one religion No!
Human beings are shaped by their belief, and most human beliefs are religious. This is why having similar religion as a nation plays a key role in unifying the citizens!
Nigeria isn't one and can never be one no matter how hard we try! Only time will tell if Nigeria will remain one or not! Is India "one" Is Canada "one" Is Ivory Coast "one" Is Cyprus one? is Belgium one? What of Switzerland? Or even Singapore? Are they not living in peace and developing their countries? Except you want to say that Nigerians are a special breed of subhuman who cannot live in peace together? Anyways I still believe in the unity of the country and we can work things out, but in the case of disintegration (which is highly unlikely) I will just disown that place and cling to my second nationality, because I can't be associated with what I know will fail. |

humilitypays: This is what I was telling that guy; Igbos see all northern people as Hausa/Fulani while Hausa/Fulani see anything Christian living in the south as Igbos!
Reason Nigeria will never work; there's no common unity, trust or love. So Nigeria is heading nowhere as a nation sadly And who planted the seeds of discord amongst ethnic groups in the first place? It's the same politicians. On a one on one basis, nobody has a problem with his neighbour who is from a different ethnic group, they all conduct their business and do their things together in major cities Nationwide, but when politics enter the equation, you will see the cracks, which is very funny because the masses don't benefit from the spoils even if the politician is from their own village (Go to Ota, Otueke and now Daura to see for yourself) That is the root problem, politicians plant seeds of discord to divide the people; the whole divide and conquer tactic. |

Police totally controlled and well armed while army is staffed with and commanded by indigenes? Or would you like central control? USA has been English including the constitution which was created on Common English Laws. Los Angeles is an English Name? San Fransico? Iowa? etc. Athens? Miami? Chicago? Phoenix? Newark? Atlanta? etc? lol leave story... most of the cities with Englisf names like York and Jamestown etc fall in the 13 original colonies. They speak English which is the property of Celts. So dont deceive yourself. Almost all US Presidents trace their ancestry to the British isles including the present President. For decorum, a culture must dominate. Others must bow. No two captains in a ship!. So Donald Trump traces his ancestry back to the Celts?? Or Eisenhover? Or Truman? Or Kennedy? Politics › Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Ugosample(m): 1:13pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Duru1: You seem to mistake the beginning with the ending. If USA has stated as melting pot of cultures as it is seen without a dominate culture, I bet my cent there would have been on USA. Maine was even colonized by Sweden but when the PM visited in 1822, the Swedish language has been replaced with English. The Yanks were on a mention of building a great nation and no culture or tradition other then English will stand in their way. It is even unfortunate that USA is now allowing Spanish as second language. English is just a language for the Americans, they did not embrace British culture but developed a unique culture for themselves. Nigeria is an English speaking country, why can't we do same for ourselves? |
Politics › Re: "Igbo Are The Majority In Nigeria, They Cannot Leave"- Okorocha by Ugosample(m): 1:11pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
lawani: You miss the point. One culture is dominant in the USA. State funded education is English based. Their ties are with the UK. They were a post of Britain and majority of them descended from Britain and Ireland. In your Biafra will be Yoruba people. Infact the Obi Onitsha is a Yoruba descent man but now Igbo and etc. That is how it is. Dominate your sphere!
Now, this restructuring you mentioned, what about police and soldiers? The main thing is let non Yoruba soldiers and police leave Yoruba land as part of your restructuring. Do you like that? If you dont, you must be evil. And who told you I support biafra |
