Depends on your line of work, country of relocation, and your overall current standard of living.

If you want to stay. Why do you want to stay?

From what I read in another news daily, I think this law even makes abortion illegal in states that are pro abortion
That can't actually be
Because for example weed is an offense in federal law
But states legalise weed
And in those states you can't be arrested for it

Illegally then…yours is to automatically go against any perceived law or policy that you deem ‘anti-left’. Do you have a mind of your own??
I think she has a point though
Abortions will still happen in those couple of states who may want to rule abortion illegal

Or if you really want to commit the abortion; go to a state that permits it

Enough with this Billionaires don't leave Nigeria argument.

Billionaires in Togo, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Chad, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, Haiti tend to mostly live in their country as their money ensures maximum comfort anywhere they choose to live, so this has nothing special to do with Nigeria.

You can be as pedestrian as you want by tagging it as “marrying a corpse.” He is not literally marrying a corpse. The corpse is not going to be present during the performance of the marriage rites. He is being asked to perform post humously, rites that he should have performed when the woman was alive.
When a man got a woman pregnant, marrying her was termed “making an honest woman of her.” What is wrong in honoring her and post humously making an honest woman of her.
Even in the Western culture that you seem so enamored by, people are honored post humously all the time.
And what makes you think I am "enamored" by "western culture" ?
cheesy cheesy

So compelling a man to do right by a woman he impregnates is barbarism to you. You would rather the current trend of some men leaving a stream of babymama’s in their wake. So much of the dysfunction in black America is creeping up among Nigerians at an alarming rate.
That custom is to ensure moral stability and balance in society. There is nothing in the least bit barbaric about it. It only reinforces the fact that there is no reward for bad behavior and being a sperm donor, does not a father make. Back in the days when this culture was strong, to be a father and have children to carry on your name, you must marry - no IF’s AND or BUT’s about it.
Marrying a dead person is barbaric
There is no talking out of that
I'm not against getting married
If that's your thing; do it
But marrying a corpse ?
That's twistedundecided
Give it a few decades
Just maybe all dem barbaric practices will fall off

Working unending extra hours and night shifts is NO WAY to earn. It means you sacrifice your personal time and quality of life to make ends meet. So those who do "locum" and earn in "millions" please....

The moment you work and earn more, you cross your tax threshold and lo and behold 40 percent contribution PLUS National insurance. So your take home salary rises by peanuts.
And the amount you give away to the tax system is painful.
Stop speaking from outside and throwing away the baby with the bath water.
How things have detoriated and inflation has gone up in recent years is pretty insane. Look up any news outlet.

If you ask the average worker… when was the last time you came home on time or left work and did not feel knackered? they can’t say.
I'm yet to meet a person in my field who is sincerely sincerrrrrrely "happy" in the pure terms of it with their decision to move to the UK.
And those who convert money and say its worse back home, well then also convert the cost of petrol, bread, bills and the amount you pay for everything.

Just do not be highly expectant is all the fellow I believe was trying to say… he was triggered by someone giving away 26 million Naira to migrate with his family to what he feels is ‘unchartered waters’
Is he right? I do not know.
Guess what, there are lots of people who left a year ago on your Tier 4 and made these same shouts on this forum, where are they today?

They have perhaps learnt by experience and are no longer chanting same songs. Truth is, it is not as meets the eye but please by all means everyone is welcome to come to UK. It is a lovely place definitely.
May the land favour everyone.
My opinion. Thanks for reading.

Politics / Re: Fani-Kayode: Nigerian Leaders who Worked For UK, US by Ugosample(m): 9:04am On Apr 25, 2022
musicwriter:
I was very devastated when I discovered this myself few years ago. Some African elites are agents to Western secret services. That's true. It's not a speculation!!

Farooq Kperogi was wondering the other day why our elites and ruling class always run to the US embassy to divulge important information to America but that's all part of it. No matter how so called educated they're or wealthy they're, they remain slaves to white people. Mr. A would go to the US embassy and reveal some information. Mr. B would go to British embassy and supply another set of information. Mr. C would travel to London and reveal one more information. Etc.

But all these information you're giving them here and there are data. In information technology (IT) they say "data is king". When these huge file of information supplied to them is processed in a simulation software, they'll see patterns that even the ignorant suppliers cannot see. They can make accurate predictions in your own country and will rule the very supplier of the information!! And this is a very big part of our problem in Africa that's unknown to the public.

I call them "African slave agents" and they're literally thousands of them all over Africa. It must be so in other former European colonies.

And you all must realize that the whole purpose purpose of your education is for them to use you too when the need arises. And they'll continue to use us, as long as we continue in their language, education, religion. Those are the things that cause us to sell out.

We're still being colonized now. Read the book: intellectual slavery, the worst legacy of colonialism (the PDF version), and you'll understand the design and what we must do to detach ourselves from Western control.
Very much shameful

BRATISLAVA:

Someone once lived in a country and visited one of bodies. The Nigerians cruised in with the fastest cars, made a lot of noise, loads of pompous arrogant talk, and then left the place after jumping the queue lawlessly. They were one tribe who were oppressing every citizen and every place in that country with drug money. Person has never forgotten that incident, even learned a Nigerian tribe from the incident. Same thing plays out in other countries and situations. Funny thing is that Nigerians will swear on their lives that the police in that country are so brutal and racist to them.

Why do Nigerians love such attention and braggadocio? Is it hard to have money in ones account?

The country has destroyed the mentality of Nigerians with poverty to believe that life is all about pompous loud moves. That's why they are ready to kill and do fraud. Just so that they can get accolades and live the loud life. They behave like peacocks with a monkeys noise.
Well you spoke well sha

I watch western movies, so the culture shock is minimal, plus, i have adapted in terms food.

I enjoy outside Nigeria, they never take light away, you can walk outside at night, i dont have the criminal mindsets of Nigeria, i dont want to rape or steal or kidnap No No.

Best things, is that there is order, the bus always comes on time, and the people driving cars are no mad, they respect the traffic rules and pedestrians.

Outside Nigeria, you don't fight for water, electricity, good roads, access to information, its at your finger tips.

For those with good pans, you will reap the fruits of your labor without needing to know someone or going to Babalawo/ mamalawo.

Success takes some time, but once you know you are building yourself up, it will come eventually with consistency and focus even with little steps all the time.

But what i miss about Nigeria is family, extended family and food.

If i can remove those two things, there is nothing in Nigeria to miss.

I just wonder, how we were turned into animals in Nigeria. Could be over population, and other factors probably.
I honestly don't miss much about Nigeria to be very honest
