Politics / Gov Okorocha Is Hale & Hearty; Imo State Government by ujoatu(m): 6:38pm On Aug 18, 2016
RE: “SOUTH-EAST GOVERNOR ADMITTED IN INDIA HOSPITAL” & “GOV. ROCHAS OKOROCHA SERIOUSLY SICK: FLOWN TO INDIA FOR TREATMENT”

The attention of the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been drawn to a one-paragraph report in the social media with the referenced captions, and the first one was purported to have come from obviously a fictitious name “Ahmed Hussein” and the second one with no source quoted.

In the false report, they wrote“one of the leading South-East Governors was alleged to have travelled abroad unscheduled few days ago on a business trip. But reports emanating from our source in diaspora community has it that the said state Chief Executive had been moved from Europe to India over a serious healthy (sic) challenge after he encountered a ghost in his office. And the ghost women made the governor to start shouting. The government immediately arranged for abroad treatment of the Chief Executive covering it with business engagement. News from abroad states that the situation is worst and the governor has been moved to India where he is receiving medical attention through unorthodox means”.

Perhaps, after realizing that they had messed themselves up with the report, they removed it and planted another one in less than six hours with the caption“Breaking News: Gov. Rochas Okorocha seriously sick, flown to India for Treatment” with some amendments to the first material. Which also clearly showed that they were still at the kindergarten stage in the unfortunate deal of blackmail.

We have reproduced the one-paragraph cock and bull story by these unintelligent and frustrated elements to expose their emptiness. Just one paragraph document and you can easily identify contradictions or mixed-ups in every line. They talked about “a ghost and also talked about ghost women”. Now our interest in responding to this poorly scripted gimmicks.

Three weeks ago, to be precise, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 the same group injected an audio into the social media to blackmail the governor. In the audio, they talked about “Alhaji or Okoro Hausa in Government House running Amajiri government”.They also talked about “mosque in Government House loaded with ammunitions and plans to bomb Relief Market, Douglas road, World Bank road, and Ama Hausa” where they said the imagined bombers were kept.

Finally, they talked about the“governor going to India to meet his native doctor”. They concluded that bullshit by stating that the imagined attacks would take place before the end of that month (July).

And knowing the antics of some of the PDP folks in the state, we accused them of being behind the malicious audio because it came twenty four hours after the convincing defeat of the party by APC in the re-run election in Okigwe senatorial zone and the three state constituencies of Isiala Mbano, Oru East and Owerri West.

And more than three weeks after that prophesy of doom, nothing has happened and they now feel terribly frustrated because we know them and their modus operandi and we are ever ready to give it back to them in “counterfeit”.

In their first conflicting tale, they said Governor Okorocha would travel to India when the bombings would start to see his native doctor. But in their latest outing, they said the same “man had to travel from Europe to India over a “serious healthy challenge” (Sic) after he “countered a ghost in his office”. Which Office? The one in Owerri or Europe or in India. Infact, these are empty brains and we blame the unrestricted access to social media for this kind of mess.

And if we are to believe them for the sake of this rejoinder, were they inside the room or office or house when “a ghost” and “ghost women” came. These are frustrated elements. So, India is where those who encounter ghosts go? Shameless folks.

Again, is it possible for someone who has “serious healthy Challenge (SIC)” in Europe to opt for India for cure. And on what ground? A lot of contradictions. They talked about the governor being flown from Europe to India over a “serious healthy challenge” and also talked about the governor “encountering ghost and the government immediately arranging for abroad treatment”. But in the one they used for replacement, they said the “governor’s close aides immediately arranged for abroad treatment”. In the same write-up. This is the height of frustration.

The governor had travelled to meet with some of the investors who had invited him for further discussions on the prospects of their coming to invest in the State which has been the dream of the governor. The moment he travelled with few Economic aides, we informed Imo people and the general public.

And as God would have it, two days to the planned trip, the daughter gave birth to a baby boy and the wife was already there for what Igbos call “Ile Omugwo”. And the husband is also there to see the wife and the baby.

The government in Imo State is too sophisticated. If for any reason, the governor falls sick, we will inform our audience. Ailment or sickness has been there with mankind. And the angle that makes the whole claim funny is the “ghost dimension”. And that would explain how spiritually poor those behind this balderdash are.

The governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is not sick and as a Christian, does not know what seeing “a ghost” or ghost women” means. He is being expected back to the state and once that happens, we won’t hesitate to tell the public.

Governor Okorocha is one of the least travelled governors. He works round-the-clock in the state. And given the option, Imo people would want him to have enough rest after he has finished with what he travelled for, since man is not firewood.

Finally, we want the general public to, not only disregard the gimmick in question but to pray for these negative folks behind it to repent because it takes evil minded fellows to be wishing someone sickness and knowing who encountered or who did not encounter “ghost or ghost women” in this jet or internet age.

Politics / We Have Paid July Salaries, Stop Your Planned Protest - Imo State Government To by ujoatu(m): 2:48pm On Aug 16, 2016
RE: THE THREAT BY AYUBA LED NLC TO PROTEST AGAINST IMO GOVERNMENT ON AUGUST 23

-That Will Be Mere Blackmail, As Government Has Paid Salaries Upto July

The Imo State Government which governor Rochas Okorocha superintends has read with concern the reported threat by the Comrade Ayuba Wabba-led Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to carry out a protest on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 against Imo and Nasarawa States.

In the report, the leadership of the NLC said they would carry out the protest to identify with Imo Workers over what they described as “abuse of public service process by Imo State government”.

And for the avoidance of doubt, the Rescue Mission Government in the state with Okorocha as governor wishes to deny that allegation. The accusation is totally false. Imo State government has never abused any public service process as alleged by the NLC leadership, either by design or by accident.

The only problem the Labour Union in Imo has with the state government is that the leaders of the Congress have taken delight in blackmailing the Rochas-led administration for reasons we have always hesitated to talk about. And they also have the feeling that the only way to impress the workers is by opposing every policy of the state government not minding the popularity of such policy.

In February 2016, the same Labour leaders in the state brought the entire National leadership of the Congress led by Comrade Wabba to the state also for a protest over one month salary owed to workers and the suspension of certain categories of workers in the parastatals for the purpose of repositioning them for productivity.

The outcome of that protest was the joint agreement between government and the labour leaders including the National ones, with Comrade Wabba also being a signatory. And the crux of that agreement was that “government will retain and run all its affairs with not more than 30% of the verified revenue every month, while the joint committee will apply the balance of 70% in the settlement of salaries of public servants and pensioners”.

The state government has been religious over the implementation of this agreement. And has also paid civil servants’ salaries upto the month of July. In other words, Imo State government does not owe the civil servants in the state any outstanding salary at the moment.

Again, the Back to Land for Agriculture policy of the government, for which the State Executive Council decided that public servants in the state except those on essential duties would work from Monday to Wednesday in their respective offices and farm on Thursday and Friday of every week is a popular one, because the policy is in the overall interest of the state and the workers in particular.

The government has also assured that the salaries of workers would continue to be paid accordingly. Ditto, their leave and annual allowances. The government did not ask the workers to go home and relax, but to go and farm for the two days to assist to a large extent, the economies of their individual families. Yet, the NLC in the State gave counter directive without looking at the prospect of the policy. NLC is not an opposition political party.

The issues of land and fund have also been raised in some quarters. And the government said it is going to give agric loan to the public servants who engage in farming. And on the issue of land, any Imo man or woman who gives land as excuse is insincere. Aside personal lands, the lands in Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Ngor Okpala, Ideato and other areas in the state can take care of the whole of South-East states. And they can also be accessed in less than an hour from any part of the state. We expect the labour leadership to now talk with the government on how to go about this.

Let the Comrade Wabba-led Congress publish the claimed “abuse of public service process by the Imo State Government” for Nigerians to see. Otherwise, we will view the planned August 23, 2016 protest against the state government as mere blackmail and posterity will hold it against the organizers.

PDP Collapses In Mbaise As Engr Emma Ojinere Joins APC

The political pendulum in Mbaise swung in favour of the ruling APC as a former Governorship aspirant and Chieftain of PDP from Ekwerazu in Ahiazu Mbaise dumped the factionalised PDP for APC.

Chief Engr. Emmanuel Ojinere, Aka-Ji-Ugo 1 of Mbaise, Former PDP Senatorial/ Governorship aspirant, former Bot member Imo New face Organisation and ex- Imo PDP state executive member, officially declared for APC recently at his ward Umunomo/Umuchieze Ahiazu Mbaise LGA. Present was foremost ward leader and APC Chieftain Chief P C Onuoha, ward Excos, LGA party chairman, LGA ward chairmen and party leaders.
He cited poor reward system as one of the reasons he dumped his former party.

While addressing party members at the event, Engr Ojinere traced his political history from 1998 with the PDP but lamented the party has shown consistent hatred for integrity and loyalty. Ojinere who is the CEO of an oil and gas services conglomerate said his defection in Chief PC Onuoha's house is symbolic as his sojourn into politics started 16 yrs ago in the same home. Noting that after a critical analysis and observation of the current political events and trends in the polity, going back to the leader who introduced him to the game was an easy one for him
