The Uniabuja Attempted Rape Case (The Accused, Side Of The Story)

Last week, news sprung up the internet, were a lady who happens to be a uniabuja student accused her boyfriend of attempted rape.
Audu (the accused rapist) and Favour Adeola Okorie (the alleged victim) who happens to be an assistant class rep of Agricultural science department (Uniabuja) have been good friends for quite a long time, till this saga led to them, splitting.

The Full Story Below:-

While speaking to 9jaflaver news man "Mr Ejump" he gathered that, Audu and favour enjoyed good friendship days together for over a month, while school was still on session. Speaking to the both parties, they both admitted that, Audu have been there for “Favour” financially, he claimed to have spent good sums of money on “Favour” kind heartedly due to the fact that he had feelings for her, and intended on dating her, he made his plans known to her, who gave him a condition that will permit them dating. Audu knew quite well that “Favour” was dating his very good male friend, and for his relationship plan with her to be possible, he went up to his friend, who permitted him to carry on with his relationship plan with “Favour” as he was no longer interested in his own relationship with his Ex-Girlfriend “Favour”. Audu went ahead to relate the information with “Favour” who later agreed to date him. In other to enjoy some quality time together, “Favour” arranged to visit “Audu”, after setting a date to meet on the 19th of September. 2016, which was last week Monday, Audu received a called earlier before the arranged date from “Favour”, when he was at a viewing center enjoying a football match on the 18th of September. 2016, which was last week Sunday. Audu, then met “favour” at the door-post of his resident, where “Favour” was waiting for his arrival. Audu showed up, and they both went into his room together, where they both had nice and romantic conversations, and even laughed together.

The both parties agreed that “Favour” requested that “Audu” should play, a porn movie with his laptop, as she intended on having sex with “Audu” at that moment. Audu turned down her request because he wasn’t in possession of any at that moment, rather he preferred having sex with her at that moment, until they both started making love together, the love making was so intense, that “Favour” jumped out, and ran away from the room. Audu then became angry, as “Favour” who was down with him on bed decided on short notice to cutoff there fun, so he seized the torch light phone which she left behind, and requested that, she should pay him all the money, which he’s spent on her while they were friends and dating. He later made it known to 9jaflaver news man “Mr Ejump”, that he apologized to “Favour” for requesting that she should pay off all what he’s spent on her.

Audu who spoke to 9jaflaver news man “Mr Ejump” made it known, that few hours later, he received several calls from anonymous males, threatening to kill him, and referring to him as a rapist.

UNIABUJA undergraduate allegedly attempts to rape female student over N400 recharge card gift (see photos)

According to Actress Dorothy Njemanze who reported this story to us...

I was busy with school runs in Gwagwalada when I got a frantic call reporting the attempted rape of a first year University of Abuja(UniAbuja) student by another first year student of Biological Sciences called Monday. By the time I got there, the Chief Security Officer was just beginning to interview both parties, starting from the boy, Monday. He told of how he made his 'intentions' known to her and she said she would 'think about it' but he according to him, he didn't understand why shy couldn't give a straight answer, so he began making moves at 'romancing' her and feigns ignorance of her claims that from the moment he started, she told him to stop. He claims he only noticed her seriousness 'when he crossed the boundary'. He is upset that he had sent her 400 naira recharge card before and doesn't get why she will reject him.

The young lady insists she came by at all because he said he was not well.

By the time she got in, he was playing loud music, so from the moment he began trying to have sex, she was shouting but the loud music drowned her voice. She insists he pinned her to the mattress and she tried strangling him with his necklace till it cut. After that, she reached for the laptop as a weapon and ripping it out turned off all the music then he released her because she could now be heard.

She ran out and called for help. She got help and retrieved her phone and slippers and purse. Then she began reporting to their mutual friends and people she trusts. She insisted she injured him to. On demand, he took off his shirt and everyone saw injuries she gave him and more.

I got upset that the attitude towards gathering evidence is zero. There seemed to be a majority notion that as long as there was eventually no penetration, it is not so grievous a crime. All I insisted was to document all that could be seen as evidence before any statements are taken etc.

I applaud the lady for speaking up. We need ensure the students and security men understand sexual harassment in its entirety and be sure whatever responses are in place take into cognizance victim needs.

I was very agitated when it seemed people were upset that 'she was trying to make a lot out of something very small.

More people need to understand what sexual violence is and legal provisions for victims and offenders.
More details tomorrow. These pictures were finally taken at the crime scene. More shocking experiences tomorrow morning.

Many are trying to use victim blaming and shaming to force her to drop the case. Please, let us change the narrative and share this widely to punish the perpetrator, not the victim....

Police Storm Brothel In Gwagwalada, Abuja, Over 10 Female Students Arrested

Yesterday being 22nd of september, 2016. Around 9:00pm, about 7 armed policemen stormed a brothel (Ashawo House) in gwagwalada, Abuja, arresting over 10 female students suspected to be University of Abuja students.

9jaflaver news team, during a chat with the hotel's management (Hotel name withheld) (manager's name withheld), he opened up that, the hotel management are against such act (prostitution) which some students of uniabuja now seize as opportunity to raise fund, he also made it know to 9jaflaver news team that the arrest is not new, as several arrests have been made.

The prostitutes are currently under police custody, in gwagwalada police station.

Speaking with the D.P.O last night, around 10:00pm, he made it clear that the police force is also trying to promote decency among the youths, and eliminate any form of nuisance, exercised by prostitutes in Gwagwalda. He also made it known to 9jaflaver news team, that, the parents of the arrested prostitutes will be invited to witness the trial of there daughters.

In an industry where loyalty means nothing, Mavin boss, Don Jazzy may lose the trio of his Mavin 2.0 acts in February 2017 due to contract expiration factors.

According to reports reaching 9JAFLAVER....

Don Jazzy has however revealed in his latest interview with Forbes TV that,‘no one signs a life time contract.

In the case of Korede Bello, Di’ja and Reekado Banks, they signed three years deals and if after three years they decide to move on to do something of their own, it’s fine, because at the end of the day that’s the goal’.

Don Jazzy continued to say, ‘at the point when that happens, the fans may feel offended and the media will get to work to make it look like something else’.

Already, Di’ja, a mother of one, is planting her ‘Dija Nation‘ movement in our minds. Korede Bello calls his teaming fans ‘Bellovers‘, while Reekado Banks calls them ‘Reekadicts‘ and if industry trends is anything to go by, these names might be setting the foundation for their own record label names.

Tribute To “Peter” (The Uniabuja Chemistry Student That Died In A Car Crash) – By The Immediate Past SCSN President

Not too long ago, a university of abuja chemistry student lost his life in a car crash, we broke the news here https://www.nairaland.com/3286657/uniabuja-chemistry-students-involved-car, which sent the university of Abuja staffs, students, into mouring for the death of an intelligent, handsome, kind-hearted, student “peter”, to mention few of his amazing qualities that can never be forgotten.

The immediate past SCSN president took his time, and penned down this touching tribute.

On behalf of the final year students of chemistry and Industrial chemistry students,and the members of the Students chemical society of Nigeria university of Abuja chapter, I fully sympathize with d family of peter jacob Ngozichukwu akazue on his demise from our midst. In as much as peter is a gentle man we love and admire, we should recognize d fact dat peter rest on with God the almighty creator!

I think its necessary to inform us that there exist SCSN (STUDENTS’ CHEMICAL SOCIETY OF NIGERIA) the heavenly chapter where God the creator is d almighty president.

In the heavenly chapter of SCSN where peter is a fully registered member; there is no cries, no pains,no hate,no agony, no hunger, no struggle for intercampus shuttle,no sickness,no accident above all.

Diamond Bank may be in serious mess as findings show they do not have enough funds to pay entitlements for disengaged workers.

The bank after forcefully laying off 400staffers, is now denying the action saying no one was retrenched.

This is all in a bid to avoid paying the workers their compensation according to Section 20 (2) of the Labour Act.

Diamond Bank is showing signals for a bank in distress as they have disengaged 400 staffers and are without funds to pay off the disengaged workers. You will recal that a CBN director stated recently on ChannelsTv that two more banks have failed Liquidity tests.

Diamond Bank in a bid to hide the true state of the bank have opted to denying sacking any of her member of staff.

The Truth About The Life Of OJB Jezreel ‘Jiggaman’

Babatunde Okungbowa a.k.a OJB Jezreel was born on July 4th, 1966 in Lagos to Chief Anthony Okungbowa & Isabella Abiodun Okungbowa (Nee Pinheiro) in a matrimony that produced 5 others. He was the last child of his mum.

He attended Yewande Memorial Primary School & Mainland Preparatory Elementary School between 1972 - 1977.

He graduated from Federal Government College, Ijanikin in 1986 where he organized a music concert while he was a student of the school.

He furthered his education at Lagos College of Education and Liter-way College, Holland, Year 1987-1990.

However, in true pursuit of his passion and a real career, he decided to follow his path in life as an artiste/music producer.

For the prolific producer, music started back in 1986. The artiste started making beats in back room studios, first in his Surulere neighbourhood and later in other parts of the city.

OJB Jezreel was a seasoned producer and a great musician. Over the years, he has produced some of the greatest hit albums and singles in the history of R&B hip-hop music in the entertainment scene in Africa.

He worked with 2face Idibia which is the greatest thing that came out of Africa to the world. OJB Jezreel single handedly produced 'Face 2 Face', the album that contained tracks like African Queen that took 2face to another level.

He has worked with Bennie Man, a Jamaican American based musician.
He produced artistes like RuggedMan re-establishing rap music to gain its ground in Nigeria. He also produced Jazzman Olofin, Weird MC, Paul Ik Dairo, Daddy Showkey, Sir Shina Peters, Olu Maintain.

OJB also produced albums and songs for Faze, Iyanya, D'banj, Durella, Wizkid, Yemi Alade etc to mention a few.

He made so much impact in the music industry thereby making Nigeria the cradle of entertainment in Africa also emerging a spotlight in Africa, he remains the greatest producer ever to emerge from the continent Africa.

As a musician he is one of the greatest vocalists and by virtue of years of experience as a producer he has been able to impact his gathered knowledge into his style of music thereby making him Mr. versatile in his last album ‘No Drama’ with great hit songs like ‘Searching’ and ‘Pretete’ which created so much impact that it sold close to one million copies in less than 4 weeks without the push and promotion of a record label. If you call OJB Mr. versatile, he is.

The respected music producer and singer battled with Kidney problems since 2013. He was consequently flown to India for a transplant in 2013.

With his kidney experience, he decided to set up a Foundation, ‘OJB Foundation’ to help people with kidney problems in appreciation to God for saving his life.
However, his kidney transplant failed again a week before his demise and OJB passed on.

He is survived by his wives, Mabel Babatunde Okungbowa, June Okungbowa, and Korede Okungbowa with eight children.
