I think people complained about this too on the MS website. Try doing a soft reset and see if it rectifies the problem.

I don't use lenses. That's my Lumia camera all the way.
But if you're referring to the edit (for some obvious photos), I use Adobe PhotoShop Express (for mobile), OneShot (awesome), Fantasia Painter or Camera 360.
In that order.
