In a bold move, the Anambra State Government has dismantled the revered Olulu Eke Deity (also known as Ururu Eke Deity) in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area, to pave the way for the construction of a new flyover at the town’s roundabouts.

I speak as a Nigerian. That it took the courageous activism of HE. Abubakar Atiku to force the discovery of information concerning the President of Nigeria is a disgrace to our national institutions.

A middle-aged man identified as Ifeanyi Ezenwankwo from Nanka community in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State is currently in police custody for allegedly inflicting body injuries on his wife, Ekwutosi, and also burying a newborn baby in a shallow grave.

Ezenwankwo was said to have buried the newborn baby to conceal his illicit acts with a 16-year-old girl whom he impregnated and bore the child for him afterward.

The wife, Ekwutosi, a native of Agbiligba Nanka community, said she was inflicted with the injuries after she raised the alarm when she came back home and met her husband burying the newborn baby.

Outrage and shock has greeted the judgment of the Imo State National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which removed Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere from office and declared a supplementary election in 55 polling units in the Federal Constituency among the remaining candidates.

However, to their shock, the State government in the wee hours of Thursday, September 7, 2023, commenced massive debiting of various amounts from the accounts of the beneficiaries using their BVN.
While some had over N200,000 debited at once, others lost amounts in excess of N100,000, while others were below that threshold depending on how much they had in their accounts. One of the beneficiaries had a combined total of N158,000 simultaneously debited across three accounts linked to his BVN.
