From what i noticed, camping is sure this week. Saturday and Sunday is inevitable.

Sir, this issue has become an iroko tree that is seen even from afar. It is in the public domain & on national news media that THE FG IS YET TO RELEASE FUNDS TO NYSC. If you had tuned your radio to any of the national radio stations yesterday morning, you would have heard it clearly. ALL NYSC STAFF, I MEAN ALL, that have been contacted repeatedly said NO FUNDS HAVE BEEN DISBURSED TO NYSC. Do you think nysc will send a message across tell us plainly, it is because FG is yet to release funds that camp is postponed? The word LOGISTICS is better suited for it. You might want to check out the meaning of LOGISTICS in the dictionary again. If you had read couple of newspapers between Thursday & Yesterday Friday, am sure you would have had a different view. The minister of finance and that of budget & planning bluntly refused to appear before the senate house committee on youth & sport to negotiate the way forward out of this historic catastrophe. Another meeting has been scheduled for next week sir, the outcome will determine a lot that is at stake right now. THIS MONUMENTAL RECKLESSNESS IS BEYOND THE DG OR SENATE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON YOUTH & SPORT TO TURNAROUND. ONLY THE PRESIDENCY CAN ABATE THIS UGLY SITUATION, AFTERALL, IT ORIGINATED FROM THE PRESIDENCY. You might want to argue that why did NYSC went on to release the call up letters & also thank FG for releasing funds? My friend, THIS IS NIGERIA WHERE THE POLITICAL TERRAIN LACKS INTEGRITY, IF THE BUDGET CAN GO MISSING, DONT YOU THINK SOMEONE CAN ALSO THANK FG IN ADVANCE FOR RRLEASING FUNDS WITHOUT EVEN SEEING 10KOBO? In the Nigeria political system, anything goes. Why have you not given this a thought, if truely FG has released funds, why has FG not coming out public to say, WE HAFF GIFEN EYNWHYXSEE FUNDS? The DG has repeatedly said this is beyond him. Come to think of it, how many of us here will parade our fathers stark naked in public? NYSC is doing everything in their powers not to parade FG stark naked but we have seen the unclothedness of FG already.
So, this is beyond the kits, OK after wearing the kits they tell u no alawee. The 13billion naira that was scrapped was supposed to care of everything about NYSC in 2016 (Batch A, B, C.......Z).
Believe it or not, this is the true situation of things!

The 2016 budget was slashed by 40 percent
– This action has affected the batch ‘A’ stream 2
of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
– The Director- General of NYSC said series of letters
have been sent to that effect to President Muhammadu
Buhari and some Ministers on these issues

The mobilization of batch ‘A’ stream 2 of National Youth
Service Corps (NYSC) might be crippled due to cash
crunch as their allocation in the 2016 budget has been
slashed by 40 percent.
This was hinted on Monday, May 16, by Sule Kazaure ,
the Director- General of NYSC, during an interactive
session with Senate committee on sport and youth
development.

He said letters have been written to the minister and
President Muhammadu Buhari on the issue but the
agency has not received favourable response as the
batch is scheduled to resume on Friday, May 20.
He added that despite series of efforts, the required
money for the exercise has not been provided by the
federal government.
However, Kazure expressed dissatisfaction that the
request for the funds were forwarded to its supervising
Minister, the Minister of budget and National Planing,
Minister of finance and the presidency but yet to receive
response up till now.

Mr. Adeleke Ademola, the director of finance, also
agreed with Kazure that series of letters have been
written to the Minister and Buhari but no response.
Obina Ogba, the chairman of the committte however
assured that a meeting between the Ministry of Finance,
Ministry of Budget and National Planing and NYSC to
address the issue will be organised.
He also revealed that the budget of the Ministry is short
by N13 billion.
Recall that Bukola Saraki had reportedly turn down
Presidency request to manipulate the contents of the
2016 budget through the backdoor.
The controversy caused a major stir as the presidency
revealed new list of development projects removed or
distorted from the budget by the Senate

Honestly I never wanted to join the crew of "I just called Mr or Mrs XYZ that works with NYSC". But I just have to help some people ease their unnecessary tension.

Forget about who I called coz that doesn't matter. He asked me when stream 1 printed their CUL and resumed camp... I said 24th and 27th April.
He then asked why I'm wanting my own a week to 21st May......
He just laughed and told me to expect it on Wednesday but if it's opened b4 then, lucky me and advised me not to join the crew wasting their time thinking they are disturbing NYSC on social media.

I made use of my familiarity with former Nigeria Youth President today. I called NYSC Mobilization department saying "this is Henry calling frm d office of Nigeria Youth President, Hon. W. J Ajani. . . we have lots of youth on our page threatening to protest based on NYSC keeping them in d dark over their posting. We will like to know exactly what s going on sir". Naso d guy replied " Sorry sir we are still working on it.. . we shall notify them in a very short time. Just be patient with us". My people I tink that sounds like a positive response

My uncle working in aso rock just called my elder brother working in CBN, who in turn called my senior brother working in the ministry of finance, my senior brother later called my aunty working in NNPC, who later called my aunty junior sister working in WAEC office, who in turn called my uncle's aunty boyfriend sister working in jumia who finally called my junior elder brother working in NYSC headquarters and they told me that we are going to print our call up letter today, whether dem rumour mongers like it or not.
