I urge the people of the Lagos state to vote for the APC on April 11 as Lagos will do better if it is in the same party with the Federal Government. Lagos had been cheated of Federal Government projects like the 4th Mainland Bridge and the long-delayed light rail project. If APC controlled both Lagos and the Federal Government, the projects would immediately take off. People of Lagos should vote against the Peoples Democratic Party just as they did on Saturday. Lagosians should remember that it was the PDP-led Federal Government that withheld Lagos State allocation for over 15 months and refused to release the funds even after the Supreme Court ordered the Federal Government to release the funds. The former Accountant General of Lagos State said it was his efforts, coupled with those of former Governor Bola Tinubu, that ensured that Lagos Internally Generated Revenue grew to N20bn from N400m. The people of Lagos will recall the way the PDP Federal Government ‘punished’ Lagos for creating the 37 Local Council Development Areas by withholding the allocation due to the state. It was the ingenuity of the crack team of experts set up by the then Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, that led to the development of the template on which Lagos, not only survived, but expanded the IGR. The IGR has since grown from a paltry N400m to over N20bn. The task of governance is not for wishful thinkers and verbose speakers but for thinkers, strategists and tacticians. I want to plead with the people of Lagos not to gamble with our future. This is not the time for trial and error. The people of Lagos must continue on the path of excellence, which the APC represents. Lagosians must vote for continuity on April 11. By the grace of God, I believe that if the people of Lagos give Ambode this opportunity, He shall serve with sincerity, integrity and all the talents the Almighty has endowed him with. |

I strongly disagree with this writer's perspective. The truth is that, the proof of Governors Fashola and Bola Tinubu's tenures in government are pointers that the sky is the limit for Lagosians and Lagos State. Despite Lagos' lack of proper natural resources like petroleum and a reasonably limited federal allocation from the PDP controlled federal administration, Lagos has still risen above all odds to establish herself as the hub of commercial enterprise. Even regarded by many global magazines as the fastest growing economy in the world When Lagos’s visionary governor Babatunda Fashola took power in 2010, he enforced local tax collection–an unusual idea in Africa. That has brought Lagos billions, giving it both autonomy from the country’s corrupt government in Abuja, the capital, and new projects, like a planned rapid-transit network, a $50 billion infrastructure program that includes West Africa’s first suspension bridge, and two forthcoming power plants that will finally ease the electricity shortage and even light Lagos’s streets at night. And who do you think was vital in implementing such commercial innovations? That's a rhetoric because the answer is beyond glaring. On the 11th of April. I implore my fellow Lagosians to come out, with our heads held high like true Patriots and vote in Akinwunmi Ambode for continuity in our beloved Lagos State. EKO O NI BAJE. |
dazey:Don't complain when things start going wrong. Do we really need change in Lagos? Are you ready to experiment with an incompetent PDP as they have wasted 16 years of our federal existence at the top? Think well my brother |

Lagos state's former account general Akinwunmi Ambode has proven to be phenomenal in his service to Lagosians. You simply do not accend to such a commanding post in government by exhibiting traits of mediocrity. Only the best and those who work well and truly hard accend to such heights. Akinwunmi Ambode is beyond competent. A simple glimpse of his biography would give a better understanding of who the genius really is. I implore all to vote for this great Democrat come April 11 in a bid to continue the next phase astounding transformation of our beloved Lagos. EKO O NI BAJE. |

Lagos will see faster development now that an APC government is set to govern the country from the centre. I congratulate us all as Nigerians have showed great resolve and faith in the APC to hand over the government at the centre to the Party. This presents a unique opportunity for accelerated growth and progress in Lagos. The time is set for Lagos to enjoy “more of more” in the delivery of good governance. Lagos has not had the luxury of Federal support in the last 16 years. Dear Lagosians, our time has come to enjoy genuine Federal presence to fast-track our development as we look set to achieve a Lagos of our dreams. EKO O NI BAJE. |

Indeed it is a time for continuity in our beloved Lagos State. Vote Akinwunmi Ambode for a Lagos that complies with international standards. For an upgrade from Nigeria's commercial hub to one of the strongest economies in Africa and dare I say, the world. Eko o ni Baje. |
You see this PDP are a whole waste of time. Never believe whatever comes from them. Vote Ambode for Governor of Lagos State. |
I will not back down because of the Oba 's statement. I believe in Ambode's vision. I will vote him as Governor. |
The tape doesn't prove the Yorubas hate Igbos. It shows the insensitivity and lack of decorum of one man. Akinwunmi Ambode is the man. |
How do you expect to run a mega city like Lagos if you cannot even run your pharmacy efficiently. One branch since 1985. All they know how to do Is lie. They cannot run a government. Vote for the best man. Vote Akinwunmi Ambode for the Governor of Lagos State. |

Arysexy:Believe and act on that "freedom online" report on ThisDay newspaper at your own peril and regret. THE OBA OF LAGOS DIDN'T SAY THAT RUBBISH! |
People's minds are being controlled by false news reports that are obviously lies. Don't let them deceive you please |
Can we settle down for a bit and reason intelligently? Do you really think the Oba would make that statement knowing that it would turn people against him? My people, don't let them divide us. Don't let this spiteful article by the opposition be the reason you give Lagos to the incompetent PDP. LET'S VOTE AMBODE FOR CONTINUITY. |

If you want to discredit Ambode, say something else, you won't still have a point. This is too cheap in my opinion. Lagosians are ready to give their votes to Ambode. |
It's a normal practice to give out souvenirs to people, it isn't bribing them in anyway. It is a form of campaign and it is absolutely normal. In Akinwunmi Ambode we trust. What we need in Lagos State is continuity. The incumbent had done massively well and now it's is time to secure the further development of Lagos State and us all. EKO O NI BAJE |
A man of all seasons. In Ambode, I see a brighter Lagos. April 11th is that day. Ambode is that man. In Ambode I trust. APC forever!! |
You only need change when the present administration are doing badly. For Lagos, we need continuity not change. Do Lagosians a huge favor by voting the best man for the job. Which Jimi Agbaje are you people on about sef? The one that can't manage his pharmacy properly wants to govern Lagos state? Even Jimi Agbaje knows he is just kidding. |
There is no argument in Agbaje 's favour. He simply cannot match up with Ambode's wealth of experience. Let us not make the mistake of our lives by voting the wrong person. #APC!!!!! |
Sai Ambode!!!! The best man for the job. Vote Ambode for continuity in our beloved state. |
Vote Akinwunmi Ambode for Governor of Lagos State for continued progress and advancement in our beloved state. #Change #Ihavedecided |
Brother, do you want the overall Good of Nigeria or just growth at the federal level? We do not want any clog in the progress of Nigeria. Let's come out in mass and support the good government laid down by Asiwaju and Fashola. #Ambo2015 Dharniel: |
