Whatever we are practicing is far better than military dictatorship.
It isn't Nigeria isn't rich for this type of kleptocracy disguised as democracy we are practicing imagine a few(house of rep members, senators, governors and other elected government representarives) getting fat at the expenses of millions other masses? it isn't sustainable and too wasteful wey the money dey self to dey pay senators and representatives members jumbo salaries and allowances? even USA a wealthier country don't practice such that's why your president keep borrowing money to sustain the senators and rep members what's the sense in that? imagine it's even same recycled representatives that were formally governors and ministers na only Dem dey for Naija? let others too enjoy the national cake nah

Nigerian system of government needs to be overhauled the military government can do that even for a short time democracy can't be the ideal type of government for every countries as it was evidenced in the case of Libya and iraq when united snake of america killed their rulers and forced their weak democracy on them ire oo!!

It's a culture. Oyimbo even join Igbos in celebrating it in different European countries, Asian countries, Australia, New Zealand and America. Go on Facebook and watch the videos, very entertaining, only black Africans now see it as an attempt to dominate and take over their land which started from Yorubas.

It's social media that spread it and other black African countries are now copying the Yorubas out of black people's insecurity and foolishness.

Those title carry no weight, they are just ceremonial and it's just among the Igbos communities.

If Igbos do something wrong outside Igbo land, I will be the first to call them out but this very issue is not one of such. They are making unimportant thing to look so important.

There is a popular adage in Igbo culture which the whiteman also collaborated right from colonial era; Igbo enweghi Eze (Igbos have no king)

Igbos don't have much reverence for traditional rulers and title holders like the Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, etc. Igbo title holders are mostly ceremonial, they carry no weight or influence among Igbos, only few who are first class kings of ancient Igbo kingdoms carry some level of influence but not compared to that of Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, etc, it's a cultural thing.

So this news is borne out of envy, jealousy, envy and unjust hatred towards a people trying to promote their culture outside their ancestral community to give their people a sense of belonging and cultural identity, it is nothing more than that.

I am sure the only thing the Ghanaians are angry about is the said man's purchase of plenty hectares of lands he said he wanted to use to build an Igbo community in Ghana to promote Igbo culture; as insecure black people, they found it intimidating that Igbos want to take over their community, and this they learnt from Yorubas via the social media which makes local news and events to travel globally within seconds in this our generation.
Leave Yoruba out of your mouth "ma je ki n won e lepe"Yoruba isn't the only tribe in Nigeria we still have over 249 other ethnic groups unfortunately the yorubas you love to hate it is only their land you can be domiciled outside of your potopoto region yet you pay them back with ingratitude no be dem tell you to be constituting nuisance every where you reside their are other Nigerian ethnic groups in Lagos, ghana, south africa, thailand,India, malaysia yet you won't hear of them because they aren't lousy nor garruicious since I have been reading your comment when I joined this forum some years ago all your submissions have always being about the yoruba tribe you can't even mask your hatred!!

Will what be welcomed in Southeast?

Why do you guys always say this nonsense?

So if a Yoruba man goes to Owerri and buy hectares of land to build an estate and name it Oodua people estate where he have areas dedicated to displaying Yoruba cultures and tradition, that it won't be welcomed in Igbo land how please? Haven't you seen Malaysia, South Africa, Accra, Mozambique, Abuja, etc estates in different Southeast cities?

I have made a challenge here in the past, I have a lot of lands in Owerri, Awka, Enugu and Asaba that I am looking for serious buyers, any Yoruba, Hausa, etc interested should dm me, I don't care the person's tribe, and so are many others who have lands for sale.

They will see the adverts and look the other way, and then come online to claim Igbos don't sell land to none Igbos, says who? The only land that you cannot be able to buy in Igbo land is people village compound where their ancestors lived and got buried, Igbos see it as a taboo selling such lands, but any other land, especially those in the town and city areas are up for highest bidder; be it Igbo, Ijaw, Hausa, Yoruba, etc, but unfortunately most other tribes in Nigeria have phobia of investing outside their region (minus Lagos, Abuja and maybe Portharcourt), many have closed mind and fear of investing in real estate outside their region except Igbos who don't care, they invest and build anywhere they live or hear or like.

An average Igbo man love building, it's in us, we build anywhere we have someone that convinces us; the man in question married a Ghanaian woman and the woman is even misleading him into investing most of his wealth in Ghana and we Igbos are not screaming foul play that a Ghanaian woman has stolen our brother and his wealth.

Me, most of the places I own lands and projects, I don't live in those cities, but mostly convinced by close friends or relatives, but other tribes are not like us, they don't feel comfortable investing outside their region and they will come online and be lying against Igbos that Igbos don't sell lands to none Igbos, says who?

Please don't let them brainwash you.

Even most of the Igbos you see that own mansions outside Igbo land also own mansions in their hometowns and state capitals, if not for social media exposing all those facts, most of you would believe Igbos only invest outside Igbo land but it's also another lie. For most Igbos, before they build a house in the city, they have built one in their hometown or state capital, silently without noise
Where has it ever be seeing and heard you sell land in your eastern states to any other tribes apart from your own let alone 50 hectares? even dangote couldn't get 1 plot of your land in your ala Igbo let alone 10 hectares you people are so clannish and please leave Yoruba out of your discussion because it isn't yoruba protesting in that ghana because of your domineering attitude.

If all is being fair they are even the most welcoming as you can't try little of what you do in their land in the north or south south you can't even take it in your own land yet it is them you disrespect the most as the yoruba adage implies"eni owo ka
lan le idi mo"

As someone implied up there accountability is not in your forte always claiming being victimized whereas it is you who does the victimization why only una everywhere? Malaysia, south Africa,India,Ghana, Thailand,Vietnam etc?you need to look inward

you are not rational...Are you sure you will succeed as a lawyer?? You will be better off as lease and rent agent....Someone said she was a secondary school drop-out yet you were subjecting her to an intellectual profiling like you said? You never asked her what class in secondary school she dropped out from nor if she would like to continue, or rather convince her on the reasons she has to continue...Maybe you did but you just didnt tell us...ok fine..

T

What intellectual proprietary were u expecting her to have? did you even know if the little edu she had was in one village in Esa Odo or Oron?...You even went ahead to ask someone who has never been married before nor catered for anyone in her life how much she wanted you guys to run a family?

She wanted a sole business, it is your duty to convince her, your duty to educate her and all...You can even teach her how to run a business since you think you were smarter..
The only difference between you and her, if there is any, is that you had some unreasonable ego that couldnt even make you find a girl yourself but took the help of a street sister to....

What is a lawyer doing with a secondary school dropout.
State secondary schools are affordable, I’m sure she didn’t drop out because of finance .
You can only connect with someone lower than your career if trust and love brought you two together.
I don't even believe this story probably some fabricated story to malign females that are leeches because how can a person with 2 degrees not have a graduate girl friend even throughout his higher institution days?and who even drops out of a secondary school these days when there are government owned owns that are cheaper? except she got pregnant while she was still in school!!at worst the person will graduate from the secondary school only may not be able to proceed to a university because of financial constraints.

you are the confused person here you have 2 degrees yet you can't find a female degree holder or an msc holder to marry you had to go through a street sister yet you are complaining about her mentality? her level of education will reflect her mentality and maturity now or are you too docile to ask your fellow degree holders out?

It's just like you wanting a slim woman yet you date a a chubby woman and later pressurisez her to slim down!!
