Contrary to the claim by the hanger owner that birds' nests caused the incident, birds' nests are made with straws not bidding wires as in this case. Liegerians and their suspicions. There are several instances where birds have been known to cause airplane accidents. The one that comes to mind is the one dubbed "The Miracle on the Hudson." The accident happened on January 15th, 2009, when US Airways Flight 1549 crash-landed on the Hudson River in NY after hitting a flock of birds during takeoff. The skilled response of Captain Chesley Sullenberger and First Officer Jeffrey Skiles resulted in all 150 passengers and five crew members surviving the crash. So, it's NOT farfetched that a bird or bird nest could have been the cause.
