Nothing. We need to wake up and face facts. Those of u supporting Buhari are too sentimentally beclouded to be objective. U can also call me names.... Changes nothing.... Its synonymous with folks like u. So if Buhari comes into power and immigration advertises for recruitment, u will have only 2,000 applicants U guys pray for tragedy to happen in Nigeria so u can politically feast on it. The immigration incidence was a national tragedy and the only thing that can stop such from re-occuring is policies that will create employment and the indeginous vehicles production is one of such policies that can create employment. |

cramjones: Last night I was with a mixed group of politicians in Asokoro, Abuja. Among these people were members of APC and PDP, all talking money. I heard one say "My real estate in Dubai is generating $Bleep annually," another say, "Dubai market is not the best, Cayman islands is better, I make $Bleep annually from those investments." As I looked closely in the room, there were self-professed muslims, christians and maybe traditional worshipers or aethists. These men forgot about their ethnic, religious and political identities, what bonded them together was the proverbial Nigeria's national cake.
As I walked around the room, and shook some of my friends, sipping my glass of wine, I thought so hard about the Nigerian electorate that were preparing themselves for a new election process in 2015. I thought about those who come to Facebook, Nairaland, Twitter, and mainstream medial raining down vitriols on those who do not belong to their ethnic group, religion or self-professed geo-political identities. I thought about those who kill each other for these men that literarilly share the "national cake." While I was introverted in those thoughts, I found tears rolling down my ears. As the tears rolled down my feeble eyes, the wife of a prominent politician in Nassarawa state, noticed my watered eyes, drawing close to me, she tapped me on the shoulder and said, "sir, are you okay?" I looked at her as if I was recovering from some sort of hypnosis, and answered "Madam I just returned from London where I had a reunion with my old high school classmates, and so I am really tired". She insisted to know what was wrong. I then said, "madam our country is finished and half of the people in this room need to be in Jail." She said "xxxx I know you pain, and hopefully with the right leadership, we will get it right"
I am pained and in tears that Nigerians are continually deceived, and their wealth carted away by those whose IQ are not even close to those that are deceived. It is high time we bring in someone that would stamp out the number one problem in Nigeria - corruption. We have the power to act, and vote in someone that would truly and honestly reduce corruption in our country. Our country is finished, and we must salvage it. I truly and honestly believe that General Mohammadu Buhari is more than capable of cleaning this mess. Do not waste your vote, vote the right man to power come 2015! I don't hate President Jonathan, I just know that he has taken corruption to another level, and honestly do not have what it takes to lead Nigeria to where we all want it to be.
-CramJones so u wine and dine with these corrupt politicians?... Birds of the same plumage congregate in the same proximity. Pls I would be more comfortable when u stop playing partisan politics and also stop being sentimental about issues. I am not a PDP advocate, but I will vote GEJ looking at his policies and implementation. No president on the surface of the earth has been back biten, sabbotaged, criticized and fought like GEJ....even when he is on the right track. The Nigerian opposition have not told us logically what they plan to do if they are elected into power, rather they are busy sabbotaging, and painting the current administration black most times with lies. For that reason alone I will vote GEJ and not PDP. Unless Buhari will present an achievable and logical road map to re-invent and improve the country rather than preaching sectarian "intergrity" and making inciting comments and threats. |

Sloan: Some Nigerians mistake speaking the truth for wanting to disintegrate the country! Lies will disintegrate anything much faster than truth would in a million years, is lying now a virtue? It is not news that the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Army especially, display complete disregard for human rights! Forget that they kill criminals that should be arrested, thoroughly interrogated so that every last piece of detail about crimes committed, is being committed and is planned to be committed will be known and Nigeria using its intelligence apparatus can nip such in the bud, they would quickly kill such a person extra-judicially. This is how cavemen and backward people operate, certainly not a people and country that is trying to advance and in need of human progress!
So, whether the US ambassador or whoever says it plainly that “the Nigerian Military is notoriously known for human rights abuses”, the question is: IS IT TRUE OR NOT? If it is true, why doesn't Nigeria work to change it? The value of a society, the strength of a society is looking at the weakest and smallest in the society, are they being cheated and brutalized? These people are the ones who suffer the most from such brutality and with no one to speak for them, no money to get justice in court and no military oga to help, they are killed, imprisoned and punished unfairly almost every time. Why shouldn't Nigeria do the right thing? If the army arrests a terrorist or criminal or arsonist, there are laws under which he can be prosecuted and convicted if found guilty. If the penalty is not strong enough for certain crimes, there are channels for making laws more severe through the judiciary but do not just kill them quickly to cover up the truth or in anger or because of official incompetence. For how long will Nigeria keep lying to itself? I will end with this: If a man/woman/country is willing and able to tell itself the naked truth about anything and take appropriate actions, there is no man/woman/country that will ever be able to intimidate it or make it uncomfortable by pointing out its flaws. human right abuses should not be limited to the army and police alone. When an employee is owed salary for months, that's gross fundamental human rights abuse. There are plenty issues we should always consider while talking about rights abuses. The US is the most double standard policied country on earth. They support and arm terrorists all the world over. They arm rebels and topple govts at random. The US should not tell us anything about human rights. What they don't tell us is what happens whenever they invoke the "marshal laws" in America. I blame our govt for over reliance on the west. No country has ever benefitted from the foreign policy of America. They only aim to demean, dominate, dictate and control everyone.I have a very strong feeling that the US has a hand in the North Easter insurgency in Nigeria. |

arresa: Exactly did this daft and incompetent man did to curb Ebola in Nigeria?
The useless man lied to us back in April that the FG was ready for ebola with ebola vaccine that doesn't exist, they let Sawyer into Nigeria with ebola, Lagos state funded the whole effort in Lagos with Lagos taxpayers money while the clowns were running around lying about releasing N200 million that didn't show us till the whole thing was over.
Ebola entered Nigeria in July and the daft I don't give a damn worthless loser didn't release the money till September, that was months after the Lagos state house of assembly released money for Fashola to build isolation units and fight ebola which he did successfully..
Just like Amaechi said, If we were waiting for that N200 million, Ebola would have spread all over the country.
This worthless and incompetent clown really need to STFU sometimes.. stay here on NL and be talking trash full of hatred. exxell: Election is around the corner and suddenly all these bad news about Boko Haram is coming out? After all these years? When will Nigerians open their eyes and see that this clueless government are the real Boko Haram? They know that majority of Nigerians are daft and ignorant. This current administration which was founded on lies and fraud just like our country Nigeria was dead on arrival. Knowing fully well that they wont achieve anything, they decided to blame their inept and crass failure on Boko Haram. Whose name would sound so appealing to Nigerians for their mass failure other than Buhari? The federal government is aware that the average Nigerian being so retarrded in mind, is governed by sentiments, ethnic bigotry and tribalistic slur. So, they decided to play the blame game.
Boko Haram my foot. Let me tell all of you, the current Boko Haram are not Nigerian Hausas. THEY ARE IMPORTED MERCENARIES FROM SUNNI DOMINATED MUSLIM AFRICAN COUNTRIES. MOST OF THEM ARE ALSO HIRED FROM THE MAGHREB. NO TRUE MUSLIM CAN KILL ANOTHER MUSLIM OR ANY OTHER RELIGION MEMBER. I will defend my view even in heaven. No Hausa can Kill fellow Hausa. A Hausa man loves his fellow human being more than anything on earth. Religion apart. They are not even materialistic. I have had contact with true Nigerian muslims. These people are so nice. Am not talking about the fundamentalists like ISIS. NIGERIANS, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS SPONSORING THESE PEOPLE. BELIEVE ME. THEY ARE RUNNING COVERT OPERATIONS WITH THE HELP OF FOREIGN SPIES.
If Nigerians are sincere to themselves, just go within your room and meditate within themselves about the current state of the nation. If they are honest and objective in their meditations, they will discover that this current administration is a mass failure. This administration is leading us to abyss. Just get the manifesto of the current president which he promised to deliver on during his campaign speeches. One will discover that he fulfilled little or non of them. Practically every sector in this country is dead under them. The education sector is dead, health sector is dead, power sector is dead, security sector is dead, sports sector is dead. Ok... Lets pretend that Boko Haram is responsible for their failure in the security sector... What about other sectors! THIS CURRENT ADMINISTRATION IS LEADING THIS COUNTRY TO ABYSS. PDP IS LOOTING THIS COUNTRY DRY. I DONT EVEN KNOW IF APC IS ANY BETTER. THEY ARE THE SAME WATER BOILING IN DIFFERENT POTS SIMPLE!
Please, vote out this man come 2015. I am not supporting Buhari either. Am saying this for the tribal and sentimental bigots that will quote me. Mind all of you, I am a confirm legit Igbo dude from Anambra. I a Christian and a Catholic for that matter. So, nobody should play the religious or ethnic card on me. Am just being honest.
For Nigerians abroad, dont mind most of the positive reviews about this country and present administation that you see online. This country is SO BAD RIGHT NOW AND HAVE GONE TO THE DOGS... WE REALLY NEED GOD's INTERVENTION. Federal government, Una well done oo. I really doff my cap for PDP U must be very daft and senseless. So all the religious crisis that has been occurring in the North never happened. U must be an ethnic sentimental bigot to say that no true muslim will kill for religious sake. Juu man |

abu12: http://thenationonlineng.net/new/fed-govt-to-rehabilitate-surrendered-boko-haram-members/
The Federal Government has said it will soon begin the process of rehabilitating and re-radicalising Boko Haram members, who have surrendered their arms and weapons in the last one week.
Coordinator of the National Information Centre Mr. Mike Omeri, who briefed reporters in Abuja yesterday, said religious leaders, the school system as well as residents of the area where the surrendered insurgents were being detained, would assist in the rehabilitation.
The military said 135 Boko Haram members surrendered their weapons in Biu, Borno State, on Tuesday, while 133 others surrendered elsewhere in the Northeast. Omeri added that any member of the sect apprehended without surrendering his weapons and arms would be brought to justice. He said the armed forces on ground in the Northeast and most especially in the troubled zone had discovered a winning strategy and would not rest until peace and security were restored.
Omeri urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support to ensure that terrorism ended. He said: “Efforts are ongoing to rehabilitate and re-radicalise the Boko Haram members, who have surrendered their arms in the last one week. Religious leaders, indigenes and the school system will be involved in the rehabilitation.
“The Federal Government has a zero tolerance for terrorism. The armed forces will remain strong, undaunted and motivated in the performance of their duties. “Nigerians are advised to support the fight, it will not last forever and I believe it will soon end.”
On the abducted Chibok girl, Omeri said the Federal Government was working towards ensuring the eventual release and rescue of the girls. “It is a global challenge, which Nigeria will soon overcome. The Federal Government is taking measures to rescue them,” he said.
On the issue of one of the abducted girls, who escaped from the Boko Haram custody, police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu said on September 24 about 5pm, a girl was seen at Mararaba, Mubi in Adamawa State wandering. He said she was picked up and upon interrogation, it was discovered that she was one of the abducted Chibok girls, who escaped. “She is undergoing medical treatment after which she will re-unite with her family,” Ojukwu added Since they claim to surrender en mass, who is still holding the Chibok girls captive. Abi their captors no follow in the surrender momentum? We are yet to hear the full story... Let's keep watching, waiting and commenting on Nairaland. |
