Advised to check your enrolment number at the Centre where you did your capturing.

1. I'll enquire from the Centre in my State if an enrolment number can be checked from a remote location. This can only be possible if there is a shared database for enrolment numbers. I'll get back to you next week.

2. Also, contact NIS via their social media links (Twitter, Facebook, Email, etc)

3. Lastly, let's hope somebody currently in Imo State will read your post and be willing to help.

At least, until all possible options are exhausted, it's still too early to give up.

After capturing, you should have been given a slip containing your enrolment number.
With the enrolment number, you can always check if your passport is ready or not.

By inference, I can put that the ONLY PERSON you know in Imo State is that dubious officer at the Passport office. Interesting!

I have a feeling that your passport is ready just as stated earlier, but you can only confirm through a channel other than that officer of yours.

Another suggestion: Contact NIS on Twitter or Facebook, provide your enrolment number and enquire if your passport is ready.

All these suggestions won't cost you a dime, just commitment.

That guy is just trying to rip u off. The same thing the useless agent I used wanted to try with me. Your passport is ready. Go back without consulting the him and asked for your passport. Is yours not anybody's if possible escalate the issues among the officers there one of them will likely attend to you.

Can you get a friend in Imo to send to the centre? Just give your enrolment number to the person & ask him/her to physically go to the centre to enquire if your passport is ready or not.

Make sure that dubious officer is not aware of your action.

Please I need help. I did capturing and necessary payments, things in September 2021. Up till now they haven't called me. The officer on charge now is requesting additional 20k. He said the controller general said everyone must pay extra 20k.

I am now in Lagos and can't travel back to IMO STATE NOR PAY ANY EXTRA 20K. So nobody helps in Nigeria again??

My question: should I go ahead to process fresh application here in Lagos state or is there a way of transferring from IMO to LAGOS?
