You saw how OBJ, Soyinka etc quickly met the president of Benin Republic and you saw how they quickly came up with a legitimate ground to keep the guy in the country till Buhari regime was over.

How many Igbo leaders have such clout to meet a sitting Africa president on behalf of someone declared wanted by Nigeria president?

My point is that, your bragging, chest beating and fighting other tribes makes you guys vulnerable.

Take home: Igbos needs allies particularly in Nigeria to achieve their struggle. The ball is in your court to chose your ally.

Even if he's truly sidelined, it's absolutely normal. In fact, that's how it should be. The VP must always stay in the shadows. The president is and must remain the star of the administration.

Constitutionally, VPs don't have a role. It is what the president tell him to do that he would do. The president defines what the VP's role is. It's practically a useless political position, except, of course, the fact that it's a breath away from the presidency. But then again, no VP has successfully gone on to become president, so politically, it's not necessarily advantageous.
