Not quite true this issue has been addressed with the latest Os Windows Phone 8.1.
So If you buy a Windows Phone with the latest OS(Not second hand old lumia) . you will enjoy it.

The most important is to create a Microsoft account using any medium be it PC or mobile browser. Once you have an account, then sign in. The account can be outlook, hotmail or live account

What am saying was that my skype on Lumia device is working fine that I have used it to call Microsoft Customer service before. And the reason for calling them with skype on my Lumia Phone is because of my PC

I don't understand how a Microsoft app could be so useless on their own device.

My skype is perfect. Though I don't use except when I needed to call Microsoft customer care to activate Windows 8.1 on my PC.

Elxandre: windows phone handles memory really poorly.
opera mini opens over 10 tabs comfortably on 512 team android phones.
on Lumia 520, it can't even manage 5 tabs easily.

Operamini on windows is on private beta testing, dont compare yet

For those that signed up for OperaMini beta testing, it has started last morning. First version was always crashing but it has been fixed. Posting with it now. It's awesome. like other OS OperaMinis.

What you will do is to create WiFi connection via connectify software on your laptop or with another phone that has hotspot. Make sure the hotspot is secure.

Yes you need a modem. And a software called Connectify to share the internet. Your laptop must be WiFi enabled.

From my experience, you will lose your updates. But some peeps said otherwise. All the same the main thing is to get your phone back to normalcy

Change your phone region to china. But language should be English. Then go to store and download free version of Moliplayer. The free version is only available in China store.

the download limit I think is now =100mb.

I've been mostly using my brothers wireless tho, so I can't be sure!

Am using Lumia 630 dual. Windows Phone 8.1 out of box

There's no other way. It is a Windows Phone thing. If you don't have a laptop to share from, you may need to buy a Mifi.

Same here. Can't download ordinary 23MB game. I tire.

Elxandre: soft reset your device by holding volume down + power keys till device reboots.

If the problem persists, delete the app and reinstall again!

Hopes soft reset won't wipe any previous updates. Cause WP updates are like installations. Talking from experience during WP 8 to Amber update.

Try changing the time format to 12hrs or 24 hrs

Bro. What do you mean by can't record. WP 8 and above don't allow call recording. If you have such app. Remove it and try again.

No Sir!!!!. Windows Phone 7 can't update to latest windows. Only Windows Phone 8 can update to Windows phone 8.1
