oga! sorry to say your estimation is incorrect. unless u plan to start on a large scale which i doubt.

start small.. n u could get there..
you need proper planning. first is to know what part of d biz are you going into...

are you going in for egg production,,,hatchery,, selling of birds (for festive season) or selling poultry feeds??
all these are aspects of poultry. when u have picked one ,then thats when you can start ur estimation..my advice is you go into sales of birds or egg production..

for sales of birds , u should go for broilers thats where the money is. they mature in like 6-8 weeks...you will have to time a festive season. like xmas or new yr. if you purchase them by october ending..it will be ready for sales by xmas n new yr.

for egg production..you should go for "point of lay". these birds starts laying in like 2-3 weeks. so you start getting your eggs that soon.

i dont know how you got your estimation but if you go for as small as 30birds ,u will make you reasonable profit n i can bet it wont hit u that bad.


go for battery cage system and not deep litter system and space can be managed. a 12 by 12 room can contain 2-3battery cages which can contain abt 170birds.
deep litter system is cheaper though

half plot in interior ogun ---100k
(u may not even need half plot a quater plot can be okay for starters.)
battery cage ----------------- 16k
the battery cage can help manage space
feeds ---------------------------- depends on how u ration it
u wud need water.....
medications for d birds... etc


re-do your findings and i bet u ..it will be very far from the 1million naira mark..

We all seem to get caught up with the rat race of life..looking for better jobs or better opportunities or more money and too often we forget the things that mattet most...

Family and friends matter the most... too often we chase after money and after that we chase more money while time speeds by...

Time is d only currency given to us all..let us spend it wisely. Most importantly ,lets find time for our family and friends cos at d end of it all..it matters d most.

Too often we are so busy growing up that we forget that our parents r growing old..(I am also guilty of this).

Golden hrt college vacancies is on almost every job platform so i believe its getting massive submission from applicants which may hv jammed their email box.
What you could do is get the school phone number(s) and contact them or get their addrrss and send postal mail using speed delivery. If you cant get any of those then i am sorry you would have to forfeit this application as you didnt apply on time

Went for a written test @ Jacobs Model School today, was questioned on Maths and English 4 2hours. The Maths was 35 questions, which I tried 2 d best of my ability,but the English was much easier with 35 questions too. Worried about d maths though, but was told by the headmaster that my answers would be marked, and he ll keep in touch' hoping it turns out good. God bless d movers of ds thread.

Two things involved...
1. The schools may not be needing a new hand(asin no opening)
2. Your cv is not catching enough..

Number 1 is not in your control but number 2 is.

Rework your cv and try harder ,,i bet it will yield better fruits.
