i have been really occupied these days and havent been here nor on the whatsapp group for a while. reading up on these posts prompts me to respond. UNITY they say is strength. As much as competition brings out the best ,disunity also leads to a fall. Anyone is free to create any group he or she wishes to and anyone is free to join whichever group he/she wishes to. But i dont agree with the notion that the Whatsapp group or any other group was or is being created for competition. I personally frown on anything that would want to place the whatsapp group in competition with the motherthread here. Hence ,the reason behind the rule on the whatsapp group relating to vacancy posts....and it says that all posting of vacancies should be done here on the mother-thread and not in the whatsapp group. This i believe would allow for co-existence, instead of the whatsapp group overshadowing or competing with the motherthread. NOTE TO ALL----Upload111 did not just wake up one day and decide to form the whatsapp group. It was born here on this thread in relation to the seminar/get-together party discussion and because of some sensitive information ,it was decided that the group be formed. Truth be told about 92.4% percent of the peeps that come here(M/thread), come in hope of seeing job opportunities/vacancies to apply for. Hence if the whatsapp group or any other group offers same, what then is the need to come here(M/thread) And that would result in this M/thread dying off gradually.I actually intended disbanding the whatsapp group sometime back after the get-together party discussion/planning was concluded but right here the issue was discussed and i was told to let the group stand. Sincerely i am glad i did because the group has been more than just a group to me and i am sure i speak for many as well. In conclusion i think anyone willing to form a group is free to do so but lets bear in mind that it has to co-exist with the M/thread and not compete with it as the mother-thread is what brought us all together in the first place. If it offers what the M/thread offers then it is likely gonna kill the motherthread. This reason there are rules on the whatsapp group which some did not agree with or adhere to,hence the reason for the sanitization of the whatsapp group. but whatsapp group or not , we are all nairalanders of this very thread and that is most important. Some of you i have met in person,,some i have spoken to on phone. I do hope we meet ourselves one day in peace n unity and we remember where we all began/met(here on this hread) and we would smile and thank God for this M/thread Thats my six pence DOMINUS VOBICUM |

How committed are you to figuring out solutions to your problems? Don’t whine about it. Don’t cry about it. Figure it out. Just because you have a big problem doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the world. Everybody has problems. Everybody you meet today in every place you go has problems that are just as scary to them as your problems are to you. The hard truth about tough problem is that there aren’t any easy answers. There isn’t one thing you can do to magically make your problems go away. You have to figure it out and figuring it out takes time. And focus as well as emotional courage too. And while it’s scary to not know what you want to know right away, you have more chances to figure it out now than ever before in the history of problems. Access to answers has never been more readily available than right now. Access to experts that can solve your specific problem can be found more easily than ever before. Figuring it out though is something you have to do. It’s your commitment that makes the difference. Exactly how committed are you? |

Sunnypar:it isnt a closed group. but opinions shared there are sometimes intense or should i say bitter truths which many may not be able to stomach. besides here on the thread one may get banned without knowing why.. i posted vacancies and i got banned many times. |
Sunnypar:Smiles!!! its likely gonna be sooner than you think. |
Funpeter:Yes sir it is still very much in existence. |
faithfancy:since it was same guy that asked i felt he must have been satisfied with the info i gave him on whatsapp group. AS for denying others ,,no i wouldnt do that,, but like journalists often say there are some things one dont say on live tv.. In the whatsapp group we can speak more freely n call names but that kind wont fly here on the thread or rather may not go down well here,. i gave him indebt info which may do a lotta damage to the sch.. but wht i can say is that school(DEE UNIQUE) isnt a nice field of play . |
AnnieOakley:being a member of the occult? that is hearsay.. i heard that too though but well ...(person no dey know finish). As for stories ,,better believe them. i can tell you that. |

A lot of people imagine things like: "My life will be better when i get married.....". "I'll start developing my dream app when I buy a laptop........". "I know that some day, I'll meet someone who will give me a connection to a job......" "I'll start touring Nigeria when I have a car......." ''I'll propose to her when i get that dream job....'' there is no perfect moment..get up and start now. Why not make your life better now? Don't wait on marriage. Start saving N1000 weekly or monthly to buy a laptop. Santa Clause won't dash you one on Christmas. Do what you already know. Go out there, pursue and apply for jobs aggressively, everyday, with all your energy. Take a bus and go to Bauchi or Calabar! propose to that your lady whether you have a gold ring or not..... there is no perfect moment... No magician will snap their fingers. No switch will flip. An angel won't land at your doorstep, hand you a hamper, and say "This blessing is yours now" If you keep waiting, nothing will happen. You'll only remain the same way you've been in the past If you're anticipating some grand moment, then you're wasting all of your time waiting for the universe to tell you what to do, when, really, the universe doesn't know, doesn't care, and doesn't have time to give you that connection that will land you your dream job, deliver your dream boyfriend to your doorstep or even tell you when to start that business idea that you've always had.The world is too busy doing other important stuff that it's programmed to do. Don't wait for the world, time or anything else to give you a sign to tell you what to do with your life. That's crippling. Just do things. Anything. Anyhow. Right now! Make mistakes. You'll learn and grow. Trust me. There is no perfect time.. the time is NOWWW |
@odimbannamdi Congrats.. |

babawere: artisticallyart: endtime1:Nigerians we are so quick to throw evrything towards spirituality I do agree with a lot of what "babawere" said tho but must prayer still b added Prayer should b a personal thing n not as if that's what it should do. So if a child is convulsing in d school I am sure d likes of some teachers here would start casting n binding...instead of rushing d child for proper treatment. LolzDo u know if the teacher involved is a pagan?? Or a free-thinker? Or even a buddist.?? Besides the person is just a teacher asking how to handle the students. Not how to deliver possessd people. he towes them no spirituality (U may call me infidel,if u want).The profession is teaching(teacher) and not clergy(pastor or imam) . Lesbianism is quite common with teenage girls infact most ladies (even here) have practiced it at one point or d other during their teenage yrs. Playing with each others b r e as*** without knowing that its a lesbian act. I would have gone into likely causes but that will too lengthy..so I would just add a little to d soln that "babawere" has already said. The students need thorough councelling. Most school these days don't have a councellor so u would hav to play d disappointed father and counsel them,,if possible discuss it with a female teacher that the students like and let her be d one to do the counselling..(Not those female teachers wey u go tell somtin n d whole sch go hear am in approximately 12 n half minutes o). Then keep a close eye on them n tell them to desist from watching porn cos that's one of the major causes. (Don't just tell them,,bring out d disadvantages ) |
artisticallyart:Can't hold it again... Hehehehehahahahahherhewewhehahahahaha!!!laffing in kuvuki. Na wa for una o...lol!! Gbam!! Nailed it. Dominus vobicum means God b with thee! And its upload111 not upload1112 to avoid stories dat touch.. |
do you know...You might not get that Job, even with a Good Grade for fresh graduates ,,good grades dont really guarantee that you get that job aside graduate training vacancies..most employers would rather employ someone that has had hands-on experience For instance, an employer looking for an Accountant will usually prefer to recruit one who can comfortably manage his finances with little or no supervision. One who is proficient in various accounting tools because he has worked for years (even in a small company like ABC & Sons Limited). They employer wouldn't want a Fresh graduate with no hands-on accounting experience (even with a 2.1 or 1st class). Fresh graduates usually require on the job training and training, as you know, comes with its own overhead. My Advice: Don't be to choosy. Everyone can't work at Zenith bank, Exxonmobil, Pwc or Nigerian Breweries at the same time. Working at ABC & Sons Ltd today doesnt mean you can't work at Chevron tomorrow. Be patient, it's not a race. Good luck Jonathan was once a Lecturer, same with yaradua.... You could apply and take up smaller jobs from small companies/schools where the competition is lower. Gather some experience and then apply to bigger companies/schools. Later on, your years of experience will definitely give you an edge over other job seekers. DOMINUS VOBISCUM!! |
