When will you people realize that Suarez is enjoying Messi's support in barca, no matter how shabby he looks he will always get the nod.....The coach can't bench Suarez without Messi's consent(The truth)....instead of begging the coach beg the GOAT or else, he might shoot himself in the leg with all the yeye friendship he dey do. |

raumdeuter:Lol.... ![]() That's nice bro |
ollah2:Why are you so obsessed with Mina bayi ![]() So scoring 3 goals at the world cup equates to being a good defender ![]() Or because for example if Suarez has 3 clearances in a match does that equate to being a world class striker? Yerry Mina is not a world class defender and in fact, not a barca material. He lacks pace like pique and it will be disastrous to pair the two together in the same defensive line. |
Oh Lord, I don't want 4-4-2 again please, it is sickening... Let's get back to our default 4-3-3 abeq |
tesppidd:Lol, I jux hate people supporting the clueless board, they hardly deserve it. I'm starting to realize the motive behind Vidal's signing, I'm more concern about his age than anything else. If he can however pull off a magic this season and go injury free then I will be a big fan of his. |
raumdeuter:What's your say about him bro ? |
tesppidd:Perhaps, we are having the same agenda but different Ideology... That is, winning the champions league after getting knocked out in the quarters of the last 3 editions.... Our weakest point over the years has been the midfield, having a midfield controller like XAVI which will lessen the burden on the Messi led attack, I remember vividly that we even suffered many times even with the presence of the mighty MSN...Why because we actually lacked the right personnels in the midfield. So after all the sufferings and heartaches, cum with the departure of Iniesta, instead of the board to find a viable player to replace the two midfield dynamos, they are busy chasing mediocre players up and down. Fact is, no player in the world can actually replace them, however, we can sign players that can fit perfectly to our plans and play the "barca way" e.g Thiago, Pjanic or Erikssen ... You also talked about having a perfect substitute for Busquet, I believe that Rakitic can do that ( He played the DM position some times last season and performed largely well) and I also believe King Arthur can replace when need be. The board are so myopic that they always hold a short term plan and not a long one...The purchase of 30 and 31 years old Paulinho and Vidal respectively, is a pointer to this...How many years can we actually get from a 31 year old Vidal... bros stop thinking like those Dundees at the helm of affairs in Camp nou Jo!!! I despise it. |
Valvarde still has the mentality of a Bilbao coach, see him requesting for Mediocre players up and down....even if he has the opportunity to sign Leroy sane for a Penny he will rather go for Inaki William because of his physicality. |
why can't we go for Frenkie De jong, at 21 the guy dey ball , his confidence no be here...even if na to buy him and loan him back to ajax no qualms, he is too good to escape our hand plus he is a barca fan.... |
tesppidd:Bros you dey fall my hand oooo ![]() Auturo Vidal ko Auturo feeder!!! He will only be a burden/liability for us than being an advantage. Instead of the board to be looking for a player in the mould of Xavi/Iniesta ( Something that has been our weak point for long) we are actually looking for a rugby-soccer player mould player in the name of Vidal, at 30 what can he actually offer ![]() Consecutive Quarterfinals exits but this is all this pathetic board could look for, I will rather we develop Alena,Damper, Puig than to waste money on Vidal... |
Way ray re oooo ![]() Kukuma sell Messi Join na ![]() |
I remember when the world cup was about to start, many Nigerian quack analysts came up with different permutations on how we can come out of the group. Some were of the opinion that we can beat both Croatia and Iceland and Lose to Argentina, or maybe we can even beat the mighty Argentines.......Now see what is happening, Nigeria won the best Jersey but Croatia is about to win the World cup. Football is not 2+2=4 It is highly embedded with uncertainty. |
Any of Tennis enthusiast here Some mad games has happened and is still happened at the Wimbledon. Federer vs Anderson Anderson vs Isner And now Nadal vs Djokovic.... Lite Tennis out there ![]() |

Hahahaha ![]() I don't even know a thread like dey Nairaland. Don't worry many Juventus wannabe fans are joining soon, Semi-Man united fans, Semi-Real Madrid fans, Semi-Portugal fans.... But don't take them too serious because they are parking their luggage anytime their MCM is leaving Your club. Anywhere belle face ![]() |
ddippset:The problem is that, the coach himself is a defensive minded coach. Rakitic is both defensive/attacking minded, I'm really talking about a midfield enforcer or controller in the mould of Xavi. If we can't get this, Average teams like Getafe or Levante will continue come to the Camp nou to dominate us and Quarter final will still be our bus stop in the UCL even with the Presence of Messi. Let us get Thiago/Pjanic not Rabiot. |
I'm a barca fan, but I'm also of the opinion that either of Xavi or Iniesta deserved the 2010 balloon d' or award. Modric can only win the award if he wins the world cup. in fact, it will be the robbery of the century if he didn't, he was crucial for his club and country in their triumph of the UCL and World cup respectively, he deserves some accolades abeg. Sneijder wasn't robbed in 2010, he didn't win the world cup and also, he wasn't his club most influential player, Milito for me was more influential, so on what requisite should he have won it. |
SerVik:Yea,I Concur, This board has been irredeemably foolish. Years after years, we keep buying players that are not of barca profile or quality... Gomes, Alcacer,Douglas, Digne, Turan were all highlights of Our wrong signings. I will prefer we move Messi to false 9, but he has always suffered in the position because of the poor midfield channel of the club in the past years. I will prefer a front trio of Hazard, Messi, Dembele with Coutinho/Thiago/King Arthur/ Rakitic/ Busquet supporting from Midfield... that will be enough. But unfortunately, the only thing this board have in abundance is Stupidity.... It is as if they roll dice every morning to bid for one or two mediocre players that shouldn't have joined Barcelona in a sane world. |
SerVik:Oh Lord |
Bushyhair:Don't mind him jare, Many of them will be shouting Ronaldo is leader up and down like say dem dey National assembly... but fact is, Messi always stepped forward in the penalty shoot out when it matters must and Ronaldo mostly wait for the last penalty kick to carry all the glory. They won't tell you Messi stepped forward and scored the first penalty against Netherlands in the 2014 World cup semi final, while Ronaldo waited in vain against Spain in Euro 2012 quarters to score the decisive penarity unfortunately, His teammates lost before he could take their shine away. Awon Hypocrites. Messi has scored many crucial penalties and he has missed Some as well. Ronaldo has scored many crucial penalties and has also missed some, the difference between their penalty conversion rate is just 3 per cent. But theykeep painting Penaldo as a penalty merchant which is false. He missed his penalty against barca in the UCL semifinal 2008, against Chelsea in the finals, against Bayern Munich in 2012, against Valencia in 2015 which might have boosted his team LA liga chances, and against Iran this year, which if he had scored, his team might have topped their group to avoid a strong team like Uruguay. Penaldo indeed ![]() |

http://www.squawka.com/en/news/four-ways-barcelonas-midfield-could-look-without-iniesta-and-paulinho/1046817 Cules what do u think As for me I prefer the 4-2-3-1 formation, especially if Coutinho and Dembele can improve their defensive contributions. |
@Nihilistjnr ![]()

Nihilstjnr:Flopped isn't the word but he was unlucky, Messi wasn't the reason why Argentina lost the final matches but he was the why they played them. Ronaldo played in 8 major tournaments, he flopped in 7, and had an international trophy with the help of his teammates. |
ddippset:Abi o bros, Loud it make them hear.... Let us also ignore the fact that if there wasn't anything like Messi in Ronaldo's life he wouldn't have left united. |
Nihilstjnr:Lol, Messi is everyday boss, doesn't need to prove anything. He hasn't won anything outside Barcelona because has never played outside the club. Where can he actually go The only equal or step up for him is Real Madrid and he can't go there.Totti,Xavi, Iniesta, Gerrard, Lampard, Giggs, Scholes, Buffon, Terry etc. all played the better years of their career for the club of their life. If Ronaldo was a Nigerian, he will surely be a Fulani man because of his nomadic nature. So cut it bro.
