MJBOLT:Guy, you don't know what you are saying.... We started the match with Cilleseen,Vermaleen, singlet, Miranda,Alena,Munir (Who are not in the starting eleven of the club) and an off form coutinho, All our four captains were not on the field, yet you are using this kind of a match to judge our overall UCL fate. Do you even know that if we lost the game we will still top our group and if Tottenham lost they are out of the champions league... The game was the perfect definition of a dead rubber game. |
tesppidd:post of the year... one thing I like about your posts is that, u do address the main points of a conversation without much digression. |
Most goals in league games from free-kicks in the past 4 years: 19: Messi 18: Juventus 14: Lyon, Real Madrid, Roma 13: Bayern 12: Sampdoria, Monaco, PSG 11 Chelsea, Liverpool, Milan Not compare Messi to players again. We'll start comparing him to clubs. Out of this world. |
Lionel Messi (106) has now scored more Champions League goals for a single club than anyone else in the competition's history. Lionel Messi (106) Cristiano Ronaldo (105) Just Messi doing Messi things. The advantage of playing for a single club. |
The amount of goals Messi started and finished in his career is ridiculously high. Like many other aspects of his game, this aspect is highly underated probably due to his genius nature. |
IKON360:Too many questions from a blind valverde follower ![]() I no get your time but every sensible Barcelona fan can also see what I saw clearly. Did you just start watching Barca's matches yesterday Where are you when Malcolm couldn't even make the match day squad list ? or was that the most reasonable way of improving a 21-year old player who just joined a big club such as Barcelona.Don't mix things up, both Dembele and Malcolm deserve more minutes, how can you be keeping two young players on the bench in every match and expect them to magically turn up whenever he gives them a chance to play, even after damaging them mentally and psychologically. Messi just came back from injury, Hence he is still regaining match fitness. He lost a lot of balls yesterday and in the previous match too. It is people like you that keep using Omo in this century just because you feel like it is good enough, even when other people are using modern soaps like so klin, Ariel etc... see ehn, if you support Valverde you can support anything. Goal.com said "If Ernesto Valverde felt bold, if the coach felt like his men could dictate the play, he might have opted to bring on winger Dembele. The French World Cup winner comes with his own bag of problems but unlike Rafinha, has the sheer talent and unpredictability to break down a rock-solid wall like Atletico’s. We saw that in the final stages when Valverde threw on Dembele looking for an answer to Diego Costa’’s 77th minute header which threatened to depose his side from the top of the table. At times you wondered if Barca’s coach was willing to accept the draw, given Real Madrid lost at Eibar earlier and his team were away from home. But if so, it does not fit the club’s philosophy and style and will only turn those who already disapprove of him further away. Perhaps Valverde doesn’t care. The coach has not renewed his contract, which expires at the end of the season, and may only be thinking about immediate success. If that’s the case then a draw at Atletico Madrid is an acceptable result, even if the style it was achieved in would upset the majority of Barcelona fans." http://m.goal.com/x/en-gb/news/683/main/2018/11/24/49613312/valverdes-ineffective-barcelona-unable-to-impose-their-will |
Our coach is very clueless and tactically inept ![]() Dembele should have been subbed in earlier. Malcolm needs to play more minutes. I don't see any spectacular thing Rafinha is doing that Dembele can't do. Messi hasn't regained his match fitness yet. Suarez is losing it day by day, the only thing left for him now is his pedigree. Atletico are always unlucky against barca especially while at home. |
This city team is really making every other team look stupid.....Unreal stuff |
Unlimited22:You are welcome bro. |
Evening cules.... It's been quite a while here, I have not been able to post because I'm in camp presently and network is very very bad As we are basking on the euphoria of whipping our regular customer in the previous Elclasico don't let any hater disrupt the celebration by bringing some unpleasant past records of our, that guy no get shame at all, his body language keep depicting him as a de-facto Juve fan. And if he is a Madrid fan like he claimed, let us remind him on how his club failed to get past the UCL R16 for 5 years, As a football fan, It is reasonable I savour and enjoy the present moment than the past, which I am not fortunate to witness. Lastly, though this was somewhat an over flogged issue, but I just want to briefly plead to my fellow Cules that Unlimited22, though a Chelsea fan, is such an adventurous guy that likes to discuss almost every soccer topic on this board, I like him a lot and respect him. Hence, he doesn't deserve our bashings or beefs because he is a vegetarian he doesn't do beefs, We can channel our bashings to niggers that come here often to mischievously condemn our darling club. |
Awesome01:This is what I have been telling people... Mbappe is a very good player but I don't think he will thrive in Barcelona because of our style of play, he suits counter attacking and direct teams more, his major strength is his pace and we don't need that much here because we are not a counter attacking team. This is even the major reason Dembele is struggling at the club. |
It's 'impossible' to be compared to Messi, says Hazard The Belgium star believes that the people who compare him to the Barcelona and Argentina star are being far too generous. Belgium and Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard thinks comparisons to Lionel Messi are wide of the mark because the Barcelona star scores in almost every match. Hazard has often been likened to the Argentina international due to his style of play and technical ability on the ball. Praise for the Belgian was particularly frequent last term when he scored 16 times in Chelsea's Premier League-winning campaign. But Hazard is adamant that, aside from their physical stature and tendency to dribble, he and similar players are not of Messi's ilk. "We cannot be compared to Messi," Hazard told reporters on Monday. "It's impossible. We're small and we're quick, but he scores in all the matches." http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/its-impossible-to-be-compared-to-messi-says-hazard/1may3njqjca021knrmt3mt6zqn |
On a lighter note... I think anybody who supports the "Hazard and Messi are on the same talent bracket" should not be taken serious again. To be a Ronaldo or Messi is not a day job, and comparing them to any active Footballer is a blasphemy to football, let alone Hazard, someone who has some fvvvvvvking 8 UCL goals Haba!!! What segregates the duo from many other footballers are their talents, hard work and CONSISTENCY. Scoring 50+ for roughly 10 years in a row is a laudable act no matter which team you are playing for. If It is that easy, Great players like Ronaldinho, Figo, fat Ronaldo, Rivaldo etc all have played for Barca and Madrid but didn't manage to replicate such a ridiculous feat. Salah tried it last season but he has been given the "Messi/ Ronaldo treatments" this season and as a consequence he hasn't literally started the season just yet... There are levels to this shiiiit, Ronaldo/ Messi are on a different level. Grizemann, Hazard, Neymar, De bruyne, Another level. Bale, Reus, mbappe,Coutinho etc are also on another level... so stop mixing them together. |
Unlimited22, Wallahi you will be doing a lot of favour to humanity if you can render free eye treatment service for your co-fans here. Mehhnn they need to get fairly used eyes to replace the malfunctioning ones they are using. Nihilist, Nihilistjnr... At first, I thought you were on usual trolling tour when you said "Messi and Hazard are on the level/ bracket using the talent's parameter. But when I saw how adamant and hell-bent you are, then I had to take you serious. There are some matters you discussed that looked Ambiguous and obscure at the same time, you mischievously put Hazard and Messi in the same bracket, without comprehensively specifying the accurate parameter used to jump into such gruesome and ridiculous conclusion. Firstly, I will need you to answer this to shed more light to blazing debate. What is your definition of TALENT ![]() As a football analyst, what are the basic skill sets and techniques you must possess before you could tag someone as a " talented player" On a scale of 1-10, how talented is Messi and Talented is Hazard... Your assertions are nothing but blasphemy to football and a slap to all Homo sapiens with brains. |
It is only on Nairaland that Stupid and senseless arguments like "Hazard is on par with Messi talent Wise" you can't even hear this in a weed smoking joint
|
I'm a Cule but #I stand with Ronaldo... Let's wait for the outcome of the case... |
tesppidd:I'm telling you bro... Not even surprised at all because that was even ordinary judging by his standard. |
Yesterday was beauty !!! Messi's masterclass as usual, no gainsaying in the fact that, he is the best goal scorer at the moment as well as the best playmaker out there, his performance was dope he woulda scored four....He is the Wembley king Suarez needs to start scoring, Messi can't do it alone, his dummies though, they were muaahhh.. Arthur is the Xavi's replacement we've been waiting for, he only needs to play more minutes and improve in his vertical and through passes. Alba was dope as well, 3 assists from him that's out of this world. Lenglet is a good prospect, he showed glimpses of what he can offer yesterday. Semedo is not barca material for me, offered little in defence and doesn't offer much when he ventures forward, Roberto will continue benching him. Nice performance from the team yesterday, stepping up after terrible results in the past weeks, that was a confidence booster. |
Wrong time to rest Messi.... Benching Both Messi and Busquet is Suicidal. |
weedtaker:Lol..... U later made it here after losing on the Chelsea thread. |
Bad landmark 6000. ![]() |
60000 |
HAHAha 6000 loading make you sha no sack Mourinho because we wan buy Pogba from una o. |
tesppidd:I respect your opinion, but as a Messi fan I believe he should have graced the occasion, avoiding it is in contradiction of the humility he is known for |
Messi as captain voted for Modric, Cristiano and Mbappé. It
takes certain type of character to vote for your rival, the
best player of your rival club and the 19 years old who
eliminated you from world cup and ended with your dream.
Pure class. Source:Twitter. |
Fraud awards this is.... Ronaldo and Messi not gracing the event was disrespectful and Arrogant.... How will it be if every other nominees have been boycotting the award since 2009 |
Congrats to Modric in advance http://www.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2018/09/23/5ba7f49c46163fd8bd8b458e.html |

tesppidd:What do you really mean bro ![]() Should we park Ronaldo, Bale, Ibrahimovic, peak Xavi, Peak Iniesta to our bench to make it world class ![]() No top player will wanna come to Barcelona, or any top club as the case may be to chop bench.....They all have the insatiable appetite of playing every minutes simply because they are professionals, they need to play.....Even players like Alcacer, Gomes,Digne left because of lack of playing time, so do you think players superior to them will wanna come here, especially when they know they won't be starting every game Kevin Gameiro rejected our offer back then we wanted to sign him as a back up for the Almighty MSN because he knew he won't have enough playing. The cost of keeping decent players on the bench is not just about money, About two years ago, Madrid had the likes of James, Morata, Kovacic and even Pepe all as squad players, all of them left afterwards because of playing time, Apart from Man city and PSG, can you name any other top club that falls to your category of having "a decent back up squad" in Europe Bring it on and let's juxtapose it with ours.As for me, I don't think having the likes of Vidal,Cillessen,Malcolm, Arthur, Denis and Lenglet on the bench is a bad idea. In fact, this can't be detrimental factor to our treble aspiration. |
Sommyroy10:Yes...far far better, Statically, we are inches below Atletico Madrid defensive wise. |
HumbleBoy21:The season is long and I believe Most of our fringe players especially, Arthur and Malcom will get their chance. Too much rotation sometimes kills the team's playing rhythm. |
HumbleBoy21:Against the coach's wish....That's treasonable in football. |
