Double standard. What right does Obi has to presidency that Kwankwanso does not have. Compare their achievements as governors and you will see that Kwankwanso dwarfed that of Obi.

You obidents have an exaggerated mentality of self importance. One will think say your Obi is the Anambra version of Mandela.

All i want is for Barca to go through. COVID-19 wreaking its havoc!!

So bad

COVID-19 is on a fast rise in Spain. Numbers of positive corona virus tests rose from 10 to 1200 within just a week, with about 30 reportedly dead.

It is a wise idea and a precautionary measure to play behind closed doors. It will be suicidal to allow about 90,000 football fans in a stadium at this particular point in time. Football matches behind closed doors might lack the necessary vibes and attraction but the protection of lives is the most paramount now

Seriously, I don't see a reason why Barca fans should celebrate Madrid's defeat.

Whoever wins the league between Barca and Madrid should not celebrate it.

This is one of the worst Liga seasons I have ever seen. Both teams are very inconsistent and below their normal standard. It is like both teams are afraid to win the league.

Both teams are inconsistent, but the more consistent team will win it but should cover their eyes in shame for winning.

To be candid, something is psychologically wrong with Messi at the front of the goal presently.

Though he has scored almost 700 goals, but sometimes warlords lack confidence at battlefield.

He is now missing goals he could have buried even with his eyes closed. Whenever he is clear on goal, it is either he touches the ball heavenly or shoots straight at the goalie.

Something is wrong psychologically, the yellow card he received against Sociedad made it the first time he received three consecutive yellow cards in his playing career.

It is either the burden is taking its toll on him or maybe he is having a serious non footballing issues bothering his mind

I hope he reignite his form sooner rather than later sha

We need Neymar more than ever now. Let him be the playmaker and Messi be the finisher

Suarez is very influential, his absence is regrettably felt. Though, he might be useless sometimes or many of the time, there are some things he does that no more else can replicate. Even Messi's lack of goals in recent matches was partially because of Suarez's absence. No one understands Messi's movement better than him

...now to CR7...he played so well in the qualifying stages of the Europe championship for Portugal then on getting to the final against France he was injured few minutes into the game,Portugal pressed on without him and finally Eder as we all know it scored the late winner to clinch the tittle for Portugal ..thereafter CR7 recieved all the praise for the country’s success...

then super league came..Cr7 missed most of the competition and joined in wen the team was in the semis..scored a hatrick on reaching the finals he blanked..buh then a late goal from his teammate handed Portugal the trophy yet again...and then there is MESSI for Argentina ..taking Argentina to finals on four different occasions more than maradona and cr7.. buh his teammates couldn’t do what Ronaldo and maradona’s teammates did and you come here to say MESSI ISNT ANYTHING FOR ARGENTINA ....SENTIMENTS ASIDE..look at this as a sport fan Nd u will understand *

All of these guys achieved for their countries what nobody had ever done

Ronaldo led Portugal to their first ever international trophies.

Barca were winning trophies before Messi was born, and will win more after Messi retires.

Messi is not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Mandela, Ghandi, Ronaldo, and Martin Luther King.

At best, he can be in the same league as MC Oluomo, Adedibu, and David Lyon.

See me see me trouble o cheesy

I like the way you cunningly smuggled Ronaldo name to the discourse of Ghandi and Mandela.

As for me, I'm tired of all these international trophies shout, any nonentity can win an international trophy, Giroud won the world cup despite the fact he didn't have any shot on target the world cup. Now does that depicts that Giroud
is better than Ibrahimovic who never won it ?

According to research, third choice goalkeepers have less than 5% percent chance of playing just a minute at the world cup. With this, a third choice goalkeeper will always win a world cup every four years. In summary, any Dick, Tom and Harry can win an International trophy with luck and good teammates.

On the other hand, My teacher taught me that Six is greater than Five. wink Individual award is a better far metric to judge between two players because it is a glaring reflection of the performance of a player in the cause of the season or tournament.

Messi is not an Argentinian flop as you've erroneously portrayed. He is the highest goalscorer and top assister of his country. He has also won more International individual awards more than your MCM.

Messi is an Iconic figure that change the dimension of Football. Football before the emergence of Messi and after his emergence have wide difference. Hence, he should be mentioned in the breadth like Mandela and Ghandi dem

Finally, I cannot forget Fernando Santos, Portugal 's coach quote in a hurry.
He said "Don't forget that we won European championship without Ronaldo"

Now, you can go down like wilder because I know you are already bewildered

No Barca fan has the right to troll or blame Messi for our form this season.

Blame the board for their failure to get the right players in the right positions in recent years.

Let's even pretend that Messi is not currently managing an injury and couldn't go out just yet because of our thin squad.

The problem of Cules is their expectation, they expect Messi of 2012 to re emerge every year. As for me, I had made a conclusion at the beginning of the season that Messi's form will decline onward because age is not on his side again. He is 33 for God sake. He has already paid his due. And History will never forget him. You don't see so many players maintaining a high level of form for 13 consecutive years without taking a break. However, this is not the end, but this is the beginning of the end

It is blasphemous, atrocious and criminal for a Barca fan to castigate/troll/slander Messi.

Messi is to Barca what Nelson Mandela is to South Africa, what Mahatma Ghandi is to India, what King Jumong is to Goguryeo

Barca fans were just unnecessarily emotional after yesterday's defeat, no club in the world likes defeat but sometimes it is just inevitable. We lost against REAL MADRID and not some ordinary club.

I think it is already an unwritten consensus among Cules that this season is already a disaster due to injuries to key players and also due to the board's failure to add more players to the squad in the last window.

To me, whatever we win this season is a surprise, we should just try to lower ambition this season and look forward to the Next. That's football. Wetin you wan make Arsenal and United fans dem do?

We shouldn't expect much from today's Clasico. In fact, a point is Okay for me. (Putting our epileptic form into consideration)

Madrid will play an all attack game knowing fully well that they have nothing to lose. They are two points below barca and they also know that if they lose the match, their title chase is almost over. In addition, they are a leg out of the UCL. So they gonna play with full aggression.

All the pressure is on Barca

LordAdamX:

I don hang boot before but I had to come out of retirement for this.

Ronaldo has been crowded more times than you can count. Attached images.

The best players have multiple opponents on them to cut out space. Everyone gets the same treatment from Iniesta to KDB to Dybala.

There is nothing special about a #10 who's sphere of influence is at the center of pitch having multiple players around him. Where the f*ck do you want the players to be? Whenever Ronaldo is in a position to receive the ball at the middle of the pitch, plenty of players are also around him. When he drifts wide as a primary winger, two men are on him, even though there's just the byline and space is tight.

Watch his games.

No normal player will give Messi, CR7, Neymar, or any elite player space in the modern game if they can help it.

So throw those images in the bin. And stop disgracing people who have more than average knowledge of football.

No, Messi shouldn't be surrounded in the middle third of the pitch. The opposition players should band together at the corner flag. Sometimes the way you guys reason, e b like say na fufu full una head.

As for Ronaldo in the penalty box. Take today's match for instance. He put in at least two superb crosses into the box (chances created), no one could connect to them. But if he's the one at the receiving end in the box, it suddenly becomes a problem.

Why should a 6 foot 2 super-athlete who's the best header in the game not occupy the box? Precisely who should take his place?

Even Dybala and Higuain had tap in opportunities, they couldn't get it on target. Ronaldo gets same opportunities and scores, that becomes a problem.

Both Messi and Ronaldo have honed their games over a decade and play to their strengths. That's why Messi is stat-padding his assist tally by taking corner kicks, while Ronaldo stays in the box to head in corner-kicks because of his height. That's how you guys were complaining about Marcelo-Ronaldo cross-and-nod connection. But not once have I ever heard a complaint about the Messi-Alba lob-pass-cut-back connection.

In no way, shape, or form is Messi better than Ronaldo because Messi has mastered the art of playing through the middle thanks to his long stay at Barcelona. Ronaldo has been there and done that under Ferguson. Instead, CR7 mastered the art of stealth goalscoring. Where you can surround him with players all game long, but just one perfectly measured cross and like a cheat he can tower above and put the ball at the back of the net. EOD!

-Lord

Well, It seems you got me wrong.

My post was in response to the guy that came here to post what I will call an irrelevant stat about how Messi has little numbers of goals in the UCL KOs in recent seasons.

So I had to give the reason. Messi is always focused especially against defensive minded which we always play against in KOs e.g Atletico, Juve, Roma etc

Yes, every elite player is focused and choked in matches. But Comparing the attention giving to Ronaldo, Hazard, Neymar to that Messi's is a great injustice and hypocritical on your side. Unless, perhaps, you don't watch Messi often, which I'm sure you don't. Almost every time, teams change tactics and formation solely because of Messi. And they also tend to cut off passing link to him in order to frustrate Barca's plan.

Messi is an expectional playmaker cum goalscorer, Ronaldo is an exceptional goalscorer but you can never tag him as a playmaker in modern day football dictionary. Football fans admire playmakers by consensus, this is due to their exemplary act of sacrifice and selflessness to create something out of nothing for the team, if you see barca fans having obsession with Messi, this is our reason.

Your last paragraph is just a subtle and indirect way to describe a penalty box merchant.

As you can see, most of the pictures you presented was in his Man United days when he was still a Winger. Now that's the difference between the duo, Ronaldo had to fined tune his playing style to fit in with the demand of his age, while Messi is still doing what he has been doing since he was 20, today at 33, without any significant reduction in his statistics.

Lastly, this will be my last time of replying you because I know we will never disagree to agree and also, let's this be the last time you will throw insult to me please, I don't do insult on internet, not because I'm a coward but because I find it uncivil and irresponsible but if you are adamant, then I don't have any other option than to draw my hatchet. PEACE

Very very very very precious away goal.

At 1 nil I was so mad, i abandoned the match.

Same fuccking tactical mistakes.
We press and press and press against teams while the teams keep 8 men behind the ball.

And then we lose possession(which is inevitable).
At that point the defence is already out of shape.

What do we have?
A good team will counter attack and will score.

Enough with this obsession with passing the ball around from defence to attack.

We need to start using the long balls. We need to stop being too scared of conceding possession from dead balls.

I think it's better to concede more possession, so the defensive shape stays intact sometimes; and we counter attack.

This keeping of possession and having our defence in a high line has become bullshiit.

I agree with this 100%

Tina Tika is now easy to defend against and it is fast becoming Kati Kati

We need to be more conventional with our approach, 2015 Treble season is a big example of that.

Your goat is also to be blamed. Have you seen his record? I saw his last 20matches in the champions league knock out stages. Messi 20 games, 4 goals, 0 goals after the Roundof 16.

See guy, You can never understand Messi's predicament because you chose a penalty box merchant as your MCM

Since Messi was young and now that he is getting old, he has been man marked and crowded all over the pitch.

Need I remind you that grizemann was the first barca player beside Messi to score a UCL KO goal away from home since 2015. Football is a team sport, even your MCM rely on his teammates to win, in Madrid's last UCL triumph, the last time Ronaldo scored was a penalty in the Quarter finals, his teammates did the job in the semis and the final.

Yet he always dictate the play as a playmaker, exchanging passes with the defensive midfielders. To be a Messi is not a day job, Messi has carried the burden of a club as big as Barcelona since he was young like a young child that lost his parents and was made to fend for himself. Yet Messi is still competing with your MCM goals wise

Please bring forth any moment of Ronaldo being crowded like this, even if it is photoshop, I bet you won't find one because your MCM spend more time in the penalty box more than the penalty spot itself
