Norway and US scientists wanted to conduct a test off the northwestern coast of Norway. They admittedly notified the Russian federation of the tests they wanted to carry out but somehow, the message never got to the appropriate quarters (Russian Defense Agency) before the launch date.

On January 25, 1995, a team of Norwegian and US scientists launched a Black Brant XII rocket from the Andøya Rocket Range in the northwestern part of the country as planned.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a statement that the first meeting with Russia in Belarus didn't produce the "expected results" they intended.

No positive breakthrough may have come out of the first peace talks between the two Eastern European countries according to reports. Ukraine: Russia hits back, suspends EU from Space Launches in Spaceport

Roscosmos, the Russian space agency responsible for all space launches in Europe through the France Guina spaceport has halted it's Soyuz rockets services amidst face off with EU countries and NATO as the Ukrainian crisis rages on.

The space agency said it resorted to the sanction as EU imposed "wide-ranging sanctions on Russia".

“In response to EU sanctions against our enterprises, Roscosmos is suspending cooperation with European partners in organizing space launches from the Kourou cosmodrome and withdrawing its personnel, including the consolidated launch crew, from French Guiana,” head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, wrote in a tweet translated from Russian.

The European Space Agency (ESA) use Russian Soyuz rockets to launch scientific missions at the Guiana Space Centre program which has been operating since 2011.

With the sanctions against Russia now rolling out enmasse, Russia has gone ahead and suspended USA from further participation the Venus exploration mission - Venera-D. This was made known by the Head of the Russia's space agency, Dmitry Rogozin in a brief with Sputnik on Saturday.

According to the Roscosmos chief -

“Under the circumstances of new and preservation of the earlier implemented sanctions, I find it inappropriate for the US to further participate in the Russian project of development and creation of the Venera-D interplanetary station,” Rogozin said.
