#Report from OAU
Good morning colleagues.. this is coming from OAU DSA, i met with the madam in charge of nysc and she said all d 4000+ candidates approved by Senate (including ACE students) has been sent however they got a memo yesterday to minimize it to 1000 and they couldnt conclude on a means of selection and downsizing the list so they sent it like dt leaving nysc to do dt
She also said we should start checking our names on OAU page from today.. though dt still doesn't guarantee automatic mobilization
Hehe! 1k outta 4?! This thing has become a serious matter ooO.

Politics / Re: 10 Major Problems Africa Is Facing That We Really Need To Talk About. by Uricas(m): 11:35am On Oct 03, 2016
Explorers:
1. Humanitarian organization like UNICEF, and the likes have done more damage to Africa than the marginal positive impact they supposedly have had.

In order to raise money for their operations, they have engaged into a “poverty porn” depicting Africa with the most degrading, and humiliating images.

African people dignity is not something they cared about. The huge billboard and magazines photos showing Africa at its worst now fill the mind of billions of people around the world, and unfortunately those people can’t help but think about Africa only through those images.

(In the same time, those medias won’t show the photo of a dead American or English soldier, because it’s shocking and doesn’t respect human dignity).

It is widely believed that Africa is a poor continent even by the Africans themselves. If that were true, why then did the colonists come?

African countries have some of the most valuable natural resources that form raw materials for the industries responsible for the growth of the developed world yet the people living in Africa are poor. Humanitarian organization such as UNICEF, WHO and Doctors without Boarders among others survive on portraying Africa as a dark poor continent to get funding for their quire operations in the continent.
Absolutely on point.

6. Inadequate Science, Technology, And Engineering Education.

When colonialists invaded Africa, they claimed to bring the good news of education, religion and trade.

Well, they delivered on their promise but not in a manner that could help the indigenous Africans be self-sufficient.

Instead of educating the African child on science and technology, they favored literature and subaltern mindset that would equip graduates with knowledge only good enough to enable them assist these people in running their colonial governments.

Africa has a lot of “talkers”, people with oratory prowess. Now, we don’t need more of those lawyers, sociologists, philosophers, but more scientists and engineers.
Hmmm! This is quite correct.

[b]13. Reduce number of senators and reps:
there will only be 36 senators and 102 (3 per state) reps, and their salary/allowance cannot exceed 1 million naira only! No senator, rep, commissioner, perm sec, etc will be allowed to travel out of Nigeria twice in a year. Same with their children, spouses, immediate relatives. So before you think of becoming a senator/rep/commissioner/etc you will think it well and know that you are only going to serve and not to make money!

Wow! You have the most reasonable submission on the front page but I still have these questions to ask.
1. Do you think slashing your salary by 60% bed any effect to what you are earning? Allowances are the real deal here. Cut all the allowances by 60% too (my additional suggestion).
2. Are you sure federalism, in your explanation, is the real solution? What happen to the system we are currently running? Who can you trust with your money between federal and state government? If state like Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa is owing salaries, what is the assurance they will make use of the resourses in their state very well? We have not reach that stage or let me say we've moved away from that stage and restructuring in term of amending our constitution to ensure better development should be looked at instead e.g LG can be independent of state government with the amendment of some sections in the constitution and this will bring government to the common Nigerian. (my lil submission)
3. Privatization of all sector with government as a mere regulator is not good enough. We are developing country and we can't handle everything to the hawk capitalist that's looking for a small business/ economy to feast on. Read about what happened to America when she was still in developing age. People like Dangote will buy off everything, seems more powerful than the government and will do as they wish. Do you know the price of cement now?
4. How do you intend to come up with state police? Who is going to be responsible for supply of ammunitions and fund to these police officers? The state government? How are you sure with the level of our development, these state police will not turn to a tool for politician to execute and settle political score?
4. Your submission about not allowing politicians to travel not more than two time is unrealistic. They have the right to travel. You may say government is only liable to fund official travelling not more than 2 times in a year. And subsequent ones will be from their pocket. (just my lil thought)
5. Can you tell us how you are going to reduce the number of senators and House of representative members? How will you come about the reduction in their salaries and how will you make sure viet governme post is not attractive?
Thank you!

If I were elected to save Nigeria, I'll simply de.vide the country.

Reasons: the country was created based on fraud and also, nothing has worked since we gained independence till date.
Do you know what it entails to be a president and to divide a country? You will be impeached with immediate effect as this is against the constitution you pledge allegiance to. Nice submission but it's illogical.

First of all, I would quietly Set-up a secret security outfit that would quietly kidnapp all Polithiefcians and crooked business theifs.
Force them to hand over their stolen wealth or they go through severe torture everyday.
I'll use the recovered wealth to build and set-up factories and corporations to produce most of what we import such as vegetable oil, groundnut oil, Textiles, electronics, automotive spare parts, tires, households electronics, tiles, bulbs, furnitures, shoes, chicken, turkey etc. and get experienced foreigners to head this corporations in order to forestall looting by Nigerians.
This would help to diversify our economy and create jobs.
The profits would be diverted to creating more companies and each corp would be mandated to source for external market, No excuses... angry sad

Then the excesses would be sold to other countries in Africa and Asia to earn forex.

Most of the income from oil would be to sort out recurrent expenditure which would be a way of pumping money into the economy.
Then I'll start to figure out how to pay our National debt and gradually increase Funding to Agriculture and other mining business.

Mind you all the kidnapped thief's would be secretly tried and summarily executed . No story or mercy

I'll make sure Healthcare, education, security and Transportation receives most of the attention for capital investment
Nice idea but don't forget that we are still practicing democrasy. How do you intend to do this without the knowledge of people as nothing is totally secret in this country especially those things that involve these polithiefcians?

They occupied most top sits in security agencies and criminology department
EFCC recruitment was done by sending application letter and cvs to their headquarter in Abuja not minding people who lives thousands of miles from Abuja, why is that? because they knew if it were to be done online, it will be just like that of Police recruitment where 10,000 personnel were needed and over 1m applied.

Now they are publishing the list of successful candidates online after they have manipulated it together with their magomago.....

The Gods of our lands will judge accordingly
Bunch of oloriburukus
Frustration re ooO! And for record purpose, 80% of the shortlisted names cannot be from North. From your words, you are a crook or one in making.
