Business To Business / Will Be Importing USA Huggies Very Soon. by USABizMan(m): 10:20am On Jun 07, 2013
Greetings,

I hope all is well in Nigeria.I am in the process of getting final details together for importing 20ft container of USA Huggies Daipers. For this shipment we may only get 100-300 boxes on because of other items on the container. If you are interested in purchasing these in bulk, please send me your request. As of now, we may be looking to ship Size 1 but have access to other size. We are very familiar with the process don't need help selling them. Thanks. You can message me a qty you wish to purchase and offer. Would really like to unload all boxes to 1-2 people. Can import monthly in larger qty once a relationship is established. Diapers of size 1 have qty of 258-276 pieces.

Have a blessed day.

Business / Re: What Good Business Can I Start With N100,000. One Hundred Thousand Naira? by USABizMan(m): 8:14pm On Aug 14, 2011
I agree,

You always need to be careful when doing business with anyone no matter where they live. I always recommend starting off very small and make sure you get your product before you decide to purchase bigger items. If at any time you do not feel comfortable with the transaction then do not give them your money. There are those out there looking to make a quick dime and run away with your money. It is very important that you find someone you can trust and build a future business with.

Thanks.

Business To Business / Re: I Want To Import Laptops From China by USABizMan(m): 8:04pm On Aug 14, 2011
LiuJenny,

I was not speaking of regular name brand mini laptops. I am well aware that the name brand ones are more costly. I can assure you though however, that the "off brand" mini Chineese laptops I can get for $55USD. These are not Dell, HP, or any brand name. These are simply cheap made laptops and the market is very plentiful of them.

For those of you that have an interest in buying a couple laptops for resale, you can email me at nest9@yahoo.com You can also rest assured that I am well aware of a good scammer so please do not waste my time. I also do not recommend any new person getting into business purchase large amount of items from someone you do not know. Purchase one or two items to make sure the deal will go through. This way you can build a relationship. Also be very leary of those who "promise" you to make any amount of money. Business is a risk and if someone knew how to make "all the money" they would not need to try and get you invlolved! If you contact me please put Nairaland as a reference and please tell me your username on here. I will not resond if you do not provide your username.
Business / Re: How To Succeed In Business by USABizMan(m): 9:38am On Aug 14, 2011
One should always be leary of a promise of a "fast profit." If you ask those that have made a name for themselves in business, they will surely tell you that it will take time to establish yourself in the business world. One doesn't need to be rich in order to have a profitable business. The key to a good profitable business is to learn to outthink your competitor. You need to be able to get your product cheaper then they get it, and sell it quicker then they do. You could also brainstorm services that are in demand that you are skilled for. Each individual is different with the talents and skills they have. If you are able to offer a unique service then you are already one step ahead of the competition. Just remember in your quest, nothing in life comes easy. If it does, chances are it is not legal!

Have you thought about investing the money in a couple of laptops or laptop memory and then reselling it? Maybe even buying a few cell phones and reselling them. Of course, this would take having someone that can get you the product at a price where you can turn a profit. I would not think you could start a big gain business up front with the N100,000 or (~606 USD). This would be something that you would keep reinvesting as you watch your business grow. But for the demand of items that I get usually fall into the catagories I have mentioned above.

I can not give advice on how to get your China laptops into the market but I can offer advice on trying to stay clear from them. It is true that I can buy Chinese mini-laptops for about $55 USD or $9,075 nira. But, the customer will be able to tell the difference right away. The memory, hard drive, and software will not be there in comparison to regular laptop. Also, it is very hard to find someone to service the China laptop as they can be cheaply made at times. I would spend a little extra time trying to find a good source from the United States. I have dealt greatly with laptops and memory and have grown to know what my friends in Nigeria demand as a quality product. Do not look for a quick dollar and ruin your business long term.

Good luck.
Business / Re: How Do i combine Bussiness with full time employment by USABizMan(m): 8:28am On Aug 14, 2011
What I have learned over the past 5 years is that there is a very big opportunity for business by bridging the United States and Nigeria. I meet my good fried from Lagos at our place of employment just a little over 5 years ago. I was amazed by his story of winning a Visa in order to come to America for a chance at a new beginning. He brought his wife and 2 kids. He had no idea what he would do once he got here and tried several jobs before finding the one he is at now. I met him on his first day on the job and started making friends with him. I took interest in him as a person and we very quickly became good friends. At that time, he was living in a very low income apartment area and had no furniture in his place. My wife and I were in the process of buying new furniture and gave him our things. We also bought his kids a few Christmas presents as I knew he could not afford them. Why am I telling you this long story? Today even though he still works at the same place, he has been able to rely on trusted people back in Nigeria and has done a great deal of business. He now lives in a very nice area here in the United States and does not have to worry about how to get money to eat. We have joined ventures and have shipped many cars and goods in containers over the years. He kept his job right now as the company is paying for him to further his education. He held a high position as a banker in Nigeria and had a Bachelor's in Finance, but decided to gain more education in Computer Information Science. He is set to finish up with school within a year and will go into business full time. He was able to do most of his business ventures by using the income from his current job. This way if the business did not show a good return, he still would get pay from the company. There is nothing wrong with working the 2 places until you feel yo uare ready to go into business on your own. Good luck.

Could you be more specific as to how you are moving the computers and phones? If you are only sending a few here and there then you are missing an opportunity. The big advantage comes when one is able to take advantage of sending the items via container. I am not sure how close you are to an area that has the container option. My real good friend from Lagos and I will usually send a few cars and fill them with laptop, laptop memory, shoes, and other smaller items that can fit securely. The main thing is having someone you trust very well to clear these items for you and take care of the funds once the item sales.
