Zidane has a system Its called Lucas Vasquez . He has a trusting starting 11 too. It takes a lot for me to hate on a Real Madrid player or coach. That penalty against Atletico in the UCL makes Lucas a saint. I dont mind Zidane trusting his old guards. But he is not as dynamic with changing formats as its being made to seem |

hopefulLandlord: by going to the team that's far better in quality than the rest of the teams in that league then whenever he's up against a decent team who refuses to lie down and be rolled over or a team that the gap in quality is close he falters. look at the gap in quality between Bayern and the rest of bundesliga. look at the fact that Bayern can sign just about any good player from bundesliga including from their main rivals (Lewandowski, Hummels?). Let's not forget that he took over a Bayern side that's just won the treble the previous season then spent his stint there not even making the final despite almost all conditions being very much in his favour including his adding qualities like Mario Gotze, Lewa and Hummels from their only league rivals who they played the UCL final against.
Then he went to Man City who's spending abilities blow any other team out of the water, he spent a fuckton of money on a team that made the UCL semi final the previous season and hasn't been able to get there since despite all the advantages and worse is he's getting dumped out by teams in his fukking league who he's outspending by a mile, even got dumped out by a Tottenham team who spent a grand total of £0 last summer.
If "Being tactical" means being so stubborn headed to the point of stupidity then Pep is highly tactical. My guy was so tactical he started 3 at the back against Barca's MSN. He's so tactical he took over a Bayern side who used counter attack to tear Barca a new asshole (7-0) the previous season only to get his asshole torn (5-0) by a "less tactical" ancelotti
The biggest mistake you guys are making is assuming a tactically stubborn coach who thinks football should be played one way must be more tactical than one who changes his anyhow he likes or situation demands. Maybe we should go for Bielsa for his stubborn tactical thinking too. I am.no fan of Pep. I love Zizzou for his relationship with Real. But reading your last paragraph will you agree that Mou is does exactly thesame thing. |

that back line is so confusing to me. not that they are old or something. its just that they are lacking the mindset to do their job. FBS: Oh they did wreck havoc and yeah could have been 10 nothing. You can't argue the fact that Atletico's approach was differrent.

LordAdamX: I think he'd make changes.
After the Arsenal match he said he couldn't defend his players based on the performance.
He is still experimenting with the lineup.
As for Vazquez. All coaches have their favorites who they curiously have burning fascination for. Moreover, Vazquez wasn't on the pitch when the team was pummeled 5:0 in the first half.
We all know Zidane's teams are all about offensive output; because they're always liabilities at the back. The concern now is that the midfield is joining in the laxity. Which means against any quality side we'd be torn to shreds.
Ideally, we're supposed to have a mix of youth and experience. The problem is that everyone spare a few players are actually performing above average. Odriozola isn't old; dude was a catastrophe yesterday. Isco too. I have no idea what Nacho was doing. Jovic was anon until his injury.
So as far as I'm concerned, Perez and Zidane have a stinker on their hands. It's not like they can buy 10 players in one transfer window. Even if they do, it's not like they're all going to acclimatize to Spanish football, or the coaches technique, or RM philosophy (whatever that is) within weeks.
Personally, I don't think the old guard can give any better than they have been giving recently; but I'm going to shut my piehole and watch the sh*tstorm or miracle that occurs this season.
-Lord The problem is selective repositioning. If you want to let go of certain players due to age or performance then let it be consistent across board. Do not play favoritism for certain players over others. If you want to sell , sell. If you want to buy buy. but do it with a proper mindset of making things work. In 2009, we offloaded a lot of players and bough a lot too. team only won its first trophy the second season. so if Zidane wants to rebuild he should cast off that sense of favorite players even if they are underperforming spanish or not. else the shitty performance will persist and he will be sent to the Madrid airport by mid December. |

hoopLA: Lol. Na facts I dey spit. Madrid is a trash club run by a trash individual called Perez. He apparently sent Zidane to trash school during his sabbatical so that he can behave in a less than dignified way where Bale is concerned.
So when trash like Costa scores 4 against a defence led by an equally trash Ramos, it's only trash on trash.
If I were United, I'm raising the fee on Pogba to 250 million this night. Let them get a taste of trash they serve others.
When they spend so much on a trash world best instead of donating the money to find a solution to the trash problems globally, it's satisfying to see them get trashed. Why are you so hurt? This show of pain is hard to read. Sorry...it will get better for your club. Its not Real Madrid's fault you hear? |
