Today now the idiotic Turk watched less than once and waved it away. If it was the midget he would have called it. Imagine the kungfu on Nacho too. What is the essence of 5en watching television of they can't call a referee to such foul |

Well, better to leave now than suffering in the hands of the French men. Nah. I just wished we could best Argentina for once. Even if we loose 8-0 to France. I care less. 5 times , 5 losses. Its a shame nah |

Nigeria did have their opportunities and did not take them. You don't miss 3 clear chances in a game of such magnitude and hope you don't get punished. Sweden missed such chances against Germany and paid for it.

patrickmuf: Well, people have the right to support whichever team they choose to, I am a Man Utd fan but I support Argentina...Stop trying to blackmail people with the patriotic line, it's cheap... Funny enough, you don't buy made in Nigeria clothes, you don't patronize Innoson motors, so stop pointing that finger of yours at others, take a good look at yourself. Mr Gumbody. we have recognised you. you havent seen me dress up nor know the kind of car I drive. But one thing is clear I support our lads. that you cant dispute unlike someone that opens thread on helping resolve his countries issues but ordinary support of fellow Nigerian sportsmen he goes awol. and yet he says patriotic line (is) cheapso much for solving corruption as you professed below patrickmuf: Ideas as they'll always say, rules the world...Couple of days ago, i shared an article (on Facebook) that spoke in reference to the lackadaisical of the government of the day towards corruption and some of my friends pointed out that solutions are needed not criticism of the government (I still dispute this point of view)...So, let's get talking... * It's a widely shared point of view that corruption is the bane of our country, so i don't think we'd be out of line to adopt the death penalty as a punishment for defaulters (i.e if our politicians don't abuse the law) * In order to checkmate h corruption, we need a strong judiciary...Therefore, i'm totally against the practice where the President and Governors alike have the leverage (as provided by the constitution) to appoint the attorney general or Chief justice as the case may be...The judicial arm of government should sort that out... * On the issue of leadership, on no account should a person who has any case to answer or has been convicted of any crime by a court of competent jurisdiction be allowed to vie for any leadership position... * In order to purge the system of rascals, the cost as well as the benefits accrued to various positions should be greatly reduced...This will clear the path for people who have the masses at heart to stand up and be counted... Politics is not a dirty game, they only use the term "dirty" to scare right thinking fellows from joining the struggle... * Finally, the model for organizing a free and fair election needs to be revisited...Personally, i'll suggest a model similar to that of the US where election are conducted in one state after another... This will enable the government to deploy all the necessary machinery needed to execute a free and fair election... I think it's time we all take the bold step and move forward...Your submissions are welcomed... Long Live the federal republic of Nigeria... No wahala sha. Those of us that are with them are more than those of you that are against them. |

I just believe everyone one is entitled to his opinion. As per the NIG/ARG match, I have not seen any reason why Niger should not finish them. Argentina have been abysmally poor in this tournament with Messi still being a shadow of himself. Before the WC started many cheered for the SE. SE lost to Croatia and the flaws of the loss were outlined by Nigerians. Many trolled the hell out of the team, hoping they would get more serious in their next match. Fortunately, the team (and coach) listened. Even old players lent their support by giving motivational speeches to the youngest squad at the tournament. The result was a 2-0 win over Iceland. This gives us a fighting chance to qualify for the next round as long as we don't loose to Argentina. Some pessimistic people will hope their sadddist expectations comes true just to mock those wishing their fellow citizens the goodness of life. They would rather their brothers fail just so they are justified of their doom prophesies. But by God's grace they will be disgraced come Tuesday and they will be the ones to be mocked instead. Nothing is guaranteed so lets hope our bois come to the party and Argentina still remain in shambles on the Tuesday. Up Super Eagles. Visca Super Eagles Hala Super Eagles |

Argentina has not showed up so far in 2 matches.
Dear God please let us not get knocked out of the group stages.
Whatever result will make us qualify is all Nigerians ask for.
Up Super Eagles. The win over Iceland was pure joy. A win over Argentina will be celestial.
For : 1) we get to play in the R16 2) we for once beat that country after many attempts 3) it will give Nigeria something to be happy about in the midst of many unpleasant news.
Go Eagles. Make us proud and happy on Tuesday |

There would be fuss if I didn't think Ronaldo deserved it. I was one of those that was up in arms when Ronaldo won WPOTY in 2013 same way I didn't believe Messi deserved the WPOTY in 2010. I'm not partial Thumbs up |

LordAdamX: Have you ever heard any CR7 fan boast that Ronaldo singlehandedly took Portugal to the 2006 WC semi-final?
And what if someone makes that statement? Messi scored 4 goals in 2014 group stages against the mighty Bosnia, Nigeria, and Iran; then did not score (and made only one assist-his only assist of the tournament) in the Ro16, QF, SF, or Final. He was a passenger in the knockout stages. Yet, you guys can't go a minute without shoving 2014 in our collective faces. Ronaldo has scored 4 goals already in 2 matches. Even if he doesn't score or assist again and Portugal somehow find themselves in the final, he has done as much as Messi did in 2014.
When people say Messi is facing undue criticism, I laff, because the blame should 100% go to his fanatics. You guys have made it your favorite pasttime to sh*t on CR7--an all-time great--on so many occasions, it isn't even funny. Then one time, one time he gets to walk in CR7's shoes, and he falls apart like a pack of cards. You guys practically brought the gasoline, wood, and matchbox to start this fire that's consuming Messi.
Messi could do all things. He could play anywhere with anyone. He is the ultimate team player. He could play all positions. He is alien.
CR7 on the other hand was the exact opposite.
Now, Messi is only human. Messi can have bad tournaments. Messi needs good teammates to succeed. The pressure on him is too much.
No sh*t!
Like everyone who regarded either of CR7, Pele, or Maradona as their personal G.O.A.T knew this except the delusional Messi wanksters.
The chicken has finally come home to roost and your folly has been found out.

Upnepaa: kai
You still don't my point do you
I have seen many Barca/Nigerian fans that say they will support Nigeria on Tuesday, yet I have many that stick with Argentina, point it, You don't use the opinions of some fans to judge the whole fan base, that is prejudicial.
You can't judge people's patriotism through this means and you can't force it on there throat, there are many Spanish nationals that supported Portugal against Spain just because of Ronaldo but nobody judged them, everyone is entitled to his own opinion.
Just because you are fortunate enough not to be in the same kind of Portugal/Nigeria dilemma doesn't mean you should run your mouth like tap water. I'm only supporting Nigeria because Argentina has been piss poor in this world cup and even if they eventually scape through, France is already waiting for them which I think they will never escape an embarrassment.
Like I said earlier, I know many Madrid fans that will give up their kidneys, souls, their fairly used destiny in exchange of a Portugal victory against Nigeria in a world cup final. Don't make anybody feel guilty because Nigeria and Argentina are playing. It is not like they have committed treason or some kind of betrayal. I never said ALL barca fans. I said only barca fans you would see supporting Argentina ahead of Nigeria. And that is undisputable. |
