Nigeria's WC group is harder than it looks on paper. Argentina always seem to have the upper hand when we meet in international tourneys no matter how well we play, Croatia will be tough to beat as they have some skillful players, and Iceland are no pushovers judging from their exploits during last year's EURO. We will have our hands full come next year's WC. I don't fancy our team's chances of going far in the WC, but I do hope and pray that they surprise me. I can't wait!

I honestly do not know Asensio's position

A good example is the Benzema goal.

I think the counter was started by Modric that played a long through ball to Benz.

If it was my guy na to bend bottom first and do a 270degree turn and pass sideways. By then Apoel defence has regrouped finish end of counter.


He just needs to improve on his forward plays. Modric and Kovacic no dey waste time with serenre plays. Collect the ball and move forward to the opponents goal non time for showmanship.

Isco is not overrated. Isco is pure class.

Isco has not had a bad game so far this season.

Isco and Asensio have been our best performers so far this season.

Isco and Asensio have so far been the perceived performers because Zidane gives them the free role.
So far what have they done with it?
10/ points behind Barca is the answer.

Isco is even pardonable to some extent not that of Asensio. Isco holds on to the ball but at least still once a while creates chances for the strikers and ensures the midfield control. But his problem is not turning it to direct play or goal scoring play for the team. Asensio is being saddled with a midfield role he is not coping well with.

Bottom line Zidane takes the fault as he fails to caution the lads.

you nailed it. Benzema was invisible through out. Cristiano missed some wonderful chances but his free kick was superb, I'm not taking anything away from oblak, he made us work extra and still stood his ground. Sometimes I wonder if benzema, Perez and zizou signed a life deal. Even a kid knows his a flop. Zizou showed how partial he was by choosing him over morata and also selling the other guy away to Lyon for just £8m. We really need a striker and a goalkeeper come January.

Zidane is starting to show that he is a very partial and sentimental coach.

Agreed Benzema has served the club but selling off Morata and then Mariano with no reasonable replacement shows he did not want competition for Kareem.

The key is to defend together and attack together.

The key is Zidane should face the fact that many of the players have been utterly sub par and unmotivated to play to win.

He should come to terms that he has other players in the squad and should be intelligent enough to use them not only when playing Fuenbralbrada.

And by this I don't mean Vasquez or Asensio but other players.

Moreso Isco should play more through the middle.

We have resorted back to the cross and nod mode. Sadly the nod aspect has been lost. No Pepe, No Morata, Ramos is not accurate neither is CR and Varane has been more about injuries.

Its beginning to look hopeless attacking with only Catzema.
