Dollarchap: You will get great resources from here too: http://www.businessinfohub.com/category/startups/business-plans/ Hi after reading through and thinking, i guess i need a professional to help me write a business plan and advice on its usage. Can you help me with that? Expecting your response. Outsourcing
Outsourcing involves employing the services of another person or a professional to prepare a business plan on your behalf. While this approach seems okay, it may not be totally good for you. When another person prepares a business plan for you, it is no longer your plan but the plan of the person that prepares it. I am not against the use of the services of a professional; it makes your work to stand out. A professional will help you ensure that all essential aspects of the business are covered. But instead of totally placing this vital responsibility in the hand of a professional, my advice is that you should collaborate with them. You have the idea and the vision of what you want for your business. So what you need to do is to work with them by providing them detailed information about what you want to achieve. Then, the professional can now use his skills to help you prepare a standard business plan. |

topcube: I reside in Benin and I have being around for 3years now. Here are the businesses I believe will give you a reasonable ROI.
1. Real Estate: Propose/Construct 1 or 2 story building with a room self contain each (10 rooms downstairs, 10 upstairs & 20 rooms in all) in a place like Ekosodin, behind/beside UNIBEN (there are land availability, selling for 450k -1M, depending on your lawyer and your power of negotiation). Each room will be let out for 70k downstairs, 75k upstairs per year, get a good lawyer or estate manager to manage the house for you. Fresher/Old Students are urgently & seriously in need of accommodation right now (some of them are tired of scouting with friends or bro/sis). I work with a lawyer and I know how my boss took advantage of scarce accommodation to collect agent fee from prospective students. I composed all of the above writings from our outings & experience.
2. Transportation: It is not only in Lagos we have huge market for transportation, even in Benin, you can venture into transportation business. It is either you buy a bus or Toyota Camry 2.4 to commute students, VIPs and or VIP's. You will sure get your ROI within 6months-1year of startup. No special experience required, all you need is a good lawyer to help you draft agreement between you and the driver. Buy the bus around 700k the Toyota around 1.5M (am not a dealer, forgive me if I quote a wrong sales figure). I will be using the bus as a case study. Get it registered, cut the glass, paint it to commercial colour, give the key/photocopies of the car document to both lawyer & driver, drop your account number or method of payment. You can be sure to have a real business with less than a million. Do take note that the vehicle will be on Balance and Carry terms. Which means, you buy, register and put the vehicle in a operational condition for less than a million i.e. 850k and you give it out for 1.5million on installment (i.e. 125k per month for 1year).
3. Football Viewing centre: I don't need to elaborate on this, just the juicy and additional income of it I will emphasize on. Rent a store/shop or land, buy i.e. 20-30 benches, buy DSTV and MyTV/Startimes Dish version, buy two 44inches TV or 32inches (depending on the size of the store/shop), buy 2.5kva generator, buy home theatre or amplifier/speaker (to draw attention or increase sales, pls note, this is optional), buy 1 or 2 laptop(s) or computer systems and finally buy UPS/plugs and other miscellaneous gadgets. Register with Nairabet or 1960bet and get 2 sales personnel to run the place for you. Be ready to smile every week. I do not have time to quote the figures/price of the items needed, you can do your own calculation. My opinion is with less than less than 500k you should hit the grand running. This business alone will bring you minimum of 150k/month after expenses/VAT.
I wish you good luck. thanks |

misssclassy: There have been numerous cases where a lady will be in a relationship with a guy and all off a sudden, she will just dump the guy and hook up with another guy, without any cogent explanation as to why she did it. This normally leaves most guys wondering what really happened or where they went wrong. Well, these are some of the reasons why ladies dump a lot of you guys.
*She Doesn't Genuinely Love You This is a primary reason why most ladies dump or break up with a lot of guys. The truth is this; If a lady doesn't truly love you, she will never commit herself to a long term relationship with you.
At times, ladies tend to enter into relationships with ulterior motives and hidden agendas, and once this motives are fulfilled or accomplished, they would have no need to remain in such relationships. If a woman doesn't love you, it will always be easy for her to dump you if she finds a better partner.
*You Are Not Man Enough One thing a lot of guys fail to understand is that a lady can never respect a man that they can control. Ladies are generally attracted to guys that are confident. Guys that are able to take the driving seat in a relationship. A woman always needs a man that will take charge. Someone capable of calling the shots. Someone that is protective and that she can count on to stand up for her and defend her no matter the situation.
*You Are Not Good In Bed Let's face it. This is one of the most common reasons why women cheat on and dump most of their boyfriends. Most ladies have sexual needs that need to be constantly met, and if their man is under performing, they tend to look for a more sexually active and more sexually satisfying partner.
*You Are Just Too Boring Every relationship needs adventure. It's an essential catalyst for the relationship growth and sustenance. Some guys tend to be too conservative and self reserved, and most ladies hate it.
Ladies like guys that are creative and inventive. Someone who they can joke with. Someone who they can talk to, about anything. Someone who can take her out to new interesting places, have fun and try out new things together. Someone who can invent new ways to spice up every area of their relationship.
If a guy doesn't meet this criteria, most girls tend to find him boring and not much of fun to be around , and they would gradually begin to lose interest in the relationship.
*You Don't know How To Take Care Of Her Every girl needs a guy that can cater for her needs. Someone that can provide some of the basic things she needs as a woman. If a girl finds you to be someone who is unable to take care of her, she will seek for someone better. Especially in this day and age where the needs of humans are increasing at a high rate, notably among the female gender These days, whether you like it or not, every lady wants to look good. They want to dress beautifully and look attractive and presentable. If a lady is dating a guy that slacks in this department, she will look for someone else.
Asides monetary needs, most guys also fail to understand the other needs of their girlfriends and these needs are diverse. And if those needs are ignored, most ladies tend to feel abandoned.
*You Lack Well Defined Goals If a girl wants to commit to a life long relationship with you, she would have to be sure you have a bright future ahead. This includes you having a blue print and well defined goal for your life and the one both of you are going to share. No girl wants to stay in a relationship with someone who doesn't know what he wants. Someone who lacks the ability to plan ahead. Someone who isn't focused, hard working and who doesn't know what he wants in life.
*You Don't Spend Quality Time With Her Girls are created in such a way that they always crave attention, and when they don't get it, it becomes a thing of pain. Most guys don't spend enough time with girlfriends. They find it hard to visit, call, or even text. Of course, a lot of this can be blamed on work load, school and all that, but girls really need to be shown that they are important and that their partners care about them , and when this doesn't happen, they look for someone else.
*You Don't Listen In most relationships, most guys tend to always want to be the ones with the final say. They always want to make their opinions known without caring about what their partner has to say, and this can be agonizing for most ladies. Girls like guys who would always listen to them and try to understand things from their own perspective. Guys who would value their opinions and respect their thoughts on issues, whether they agree with it or not.
*You Are Too Secretive Girls don't like guys who are too secretive. This always makes them paranoid and they always suspect that something else is going on in the relationship that they are not aware of. Ladies prefer guys that are free and open.
*Your Are Too Over-Possessive Although ladies like guys that are capable of taking the driving seat in a relationship, they also tend not to like guys that are too controlling, over powering, and over possessive of them. This includes guys that always question their actions, guys that are always too jealous whenever they see them with other guys, and guys that are too conscious of their movements. Ladies see this character as repulsive and it gives them a signal that they are not trusted and they lose interest in the relationship..
You are free to add yours if you want to.

[quote]Welcome
Welcome to /r/learnprogramming. This is a list of some of the most frequently asked questions on this subreddit. If your question is one of these, it has probably been answered many times before, and you should try using reddit's search facilities (look in the sidebar) to find previous answers before posting here.
Getting Started
How do I get started with programming?
This is by far the most asked question on this subreddit. Some call it the wrong question, but we'll take a crack at an actual answer.
This YouTube video is perhaps one of the best places to begin - How to Learn to Code. Kevin Cheers does an outstanding job outlining just what is it programmers do and why they do it, and illustrates the proper perspective novices should have when starting out.
Learning programming, like anything, is not an exact science, and as such there is no universally agreed upon way of doing so. It is generally suggested that newcomers should start with a single language, and that they should follow a single, high-quality, beginner-oriented resource. If you want to dive right in to programming, a good language to start with is Python. You can find resources for learning Python at the following links:
Online resources books Curated Programming Resources - Python If you are interested in the different types of language available, see our language types page. If you want to specifically focus on learning how to make games, make websites, or make mobile apps, our FAQ has more information below.
It's important to understand that learning to program can be a long process. Many people spend years of their lives learning and practicing before they consider themselves competent enough to look for a job or contribute to a significant project. Fortunately, just getting started is not difficult at all.
Which programming language should I start with?
There are two common misconceptions that cause people to ask this question. The first is that there actually is a "best" programming language for learning, and the second is that the first language you learn will decide what the rest of your programming career looks like.
In reality, there is no best language to start with, and your first language has virtually no lasting effect on your eventual career. What really matters are core programming concepts which can be applied across languages of various types (or paradigms). Programming languages can vary wildly in style and syntax, but these differences are of little concern to the novice programmer.
All programmers should ideally have experience in multiple types of languages. Once you are comfortable with one language, move on to another language which differs in some fundamental way. As you learn more languages, you will become more equipped to choose the right tool for the task at hand, which is a hallmark of a good programmer. Since programming concepts are what matter most, we recommended that beginners start with a language like Python or Ruby. These types of languages enable beginners to start writing simple applications and practice programming without having to use any of the more complex language features.
So read how to get started, and if you still can't decide, choose Python. It is a good, beginner-friendly language with a huge community and many libraries for doing most anything you want, like making games or websites. Try to find a learning resource which focuses on concepts and fundamentals before diving into more complex applications.
You can find instructions for starting with Python and several other languages on our getting started page.
Alternatively, this site may help you make a choice.

Programming › Re: Help! Cannot Get Json Array Into Input Field - Jquery by uvalued(op): 10:38am On Jun 06, 2015 |
Adesege: IMHO, you've taken it too far. In your php, edit the sql statement. Instead of selecting all the columns in the table, be specific. I.e SELECT no, name FROM your_table blah blah.
The while loop will not be neccessary if the column type for no is unique. But in this case, i'll assume it's not unique.
While you are fetching, replace the statement inside the while loop with
$data[]=array_map('utf8_encode', $row);
Close the while loop. Replace your json_encode echo statement with
echo json_encode($data);
Having done this, save the page and visit the page on your browser, start typing something into the input form. Check your console, and you should see something like
{{ ...some data }}
Don't worry if you don't see that. I just realized there are alot of bug in your code. But i'll address that at the end of this.
Assume you saw the {{ ...some data }}, this implies that the json is nested. This is so because of the $data[]=...
In your Jquery, starting from the each control structure, delete everything till the last closing braces.
To access your values, you'll type
$('input#no" .val(data[0].no);
$('input#name" .val(data[0].name);
So this is everything in one.
$(document).ready(function () { $('#no').keyup(function () { //keyup event responds var loc = $('#no').val(); var dat='loc='+loc; $.ajax({ dataType: "JSON", url: "/php/barry.php", data: dat, async: false, global:false, type: "POST", success: function (data) { $("input#no" .val(data[0].no); $("input#name" .val(data[0].name); //this is end of success }, error: function(xhr,ajaxOptions, thrownError){ alert(xhr.status+" "+thrownError); } }); }); });
PHP
<?php include_once('/db.php'); if(isset($_POST['loc'])){ $fille = $_POST['loc']; //echo "this is $fille"; //exit; //$fille = '0000'; $sql = "SELECT no,name FROM barry where no='$fille'"; $res = mysql_query($sql); while( $row = mysql_fetch_array($res) ){ $data[]=array_map('utf8_encode', $row); } //print_r($data); echo json_encode($data); } ?>
Endeavour to validate user input please.
Let me know if it helps PHP Yes it did help as i was able to do some correction. However, on running the php code you posted separately, it gave this result of the encoded array [First Image). AJAX After success:function, it did not display any argument as you can see from the second image. Running previous AJAX after modifying it according to your suggestions, i discovered that the arguments [json array] from PHP was showing the values. Third image . But still it did not transfer the result into the INPUT fields on the main page. Thanks for your suggestion.

Programming › Re: Help! Cannot Get Json Array Into Input Field - Jquery by uvalued(op): 10:20am On Jun 06, 2015 |
JackOfAllTrades: it gives you null because your php script is not outputting anything, you need to add this in the php after the while loop
print_r( json_encode($result) ); i did it and this is the result [First Image] JackOfAllTrades: Setting data type to json in JQuery doesn't automatically parse it to json unless you set the MIME response of the server to application/json Then the JQuery success callback will return a JavaScript object Add this line in the beginning of your php script to set mime of the php script header('Content-type: application/json');
I think firebug is printing the json string instead of the object and that's why you should parse it I did add the header and it gave the [first image] below. On the firebug, look at the Second image, it shows the array has been captured after success: (function). However it still did not send it to the input field [no and name].
